Fat loss insan1ty with Sup3r-11 and Ignit3

Intense. Please don't die on us lol

Well, I am not planning on it...But I do have this new t shirt. Get lean or die trying!

Does it come in a 2X?? :)

LOL - that would be awesome.

Today's weigh in:
Bodyweight:175.3 pounds
Aria Bodyfat %: 19.2%
Waist: 37.75" (heading toward 37.5 pretty quick...yesterday I was on the 38" side of 37.75, today I'm on the 37" side)

My legs were actually really uncomfortable and sore last night after I went to bed. Can't imagine why??? But they feel good today again. I'm either taking today off from exercise entirely or going for a really low intensity walk somewhere. Today is the start of day 4 of the challenge for me, and I looked back to 9/13 and I weight 177.1 that morning. Of course, that was after a refeed. On 9/12 I was 176 pounds.

Anyway, 3 full days down and if you figure 176 as my starting weight, about 3/4 of a pound lost. That isn't going to cut it in 6 weeks. I am hoping that if I just keep plugging away at this, things will pick up shortly and I will come crashing through this wall I have hit with some momentum.

Laws of thermodynamics, don't fail me now!

Today was close to a full day off. Went for a walk with my gf and the fit it said I went 2.25 miles and burned 350+ calories. Seems high.

So far I've eaten 2.5 oz beef jerky, 1 scoop cafe select, 5 oz chicken, and a bag of broccoli. Gonna have a protein pudding. This will put me at about 725 calories and 120 g protein ....May have another scoop select later to get protein up.

Well, I guess 6 weeks of this won't kill you. But, you might WISH you were dead, anyway!

I'm very curious to see how your weight loss goes. As we've discussed (a lot), I believe short bursts of low cal are great for fat loss. But for as long as you've been doing it, I'll be VERY surprised if you see more than a pound a week on average over the next 6 weeks.

Feel free to prove me wrong, though.

It will certainly suck for me if you are right. So far I'd say I've lost a solid 3/4 of a pound in 4 days...which is half what I need to accomplish the goal. At the end of the day, I am banking on brute force and the laws of thermodynamics holding true. Who knows though. It may help you catch me on the bench press though, haha.

You should really do pics and maybe more detailed body measurements NOW so you can can compare to the pics/measures in 6 weeks. That way, if the scale doesn't cooperate, you can probably have clear evidence, at least, that the 6 weeks weren't wasted.

Actually, I think the next 5.5 weeks are going to suck for you, either way! :)

I was planning on Sunday morning. I am good ...I have confidence that I can get a significant change. I may be wrong, but at least I am confident of it, haha.

You may be right. It will be a bit hard. The advantage is, I'm pretty comfortable in the deficit after all this time and a lot of the fog and such doesn't happen as strongly now. The thing is, being so much lighter, as HGP pointed out, has reduced my bmr dramatically too...I'm really generally in a 1000-1500 calorie deficit and the additional exercise pushes me to the higher end of that or slightly above. It is a lot of work, and going below 600-800 really is the limit even for me. It's that wall you talk about. The only way to increase my deficit at this point is to do more exercise...and I need to manage that intensity so that I don't burn out.

Sorry, forgot to update today:

Bodyweight: 175.3 pounds
Aria Bodyfat %: 19.5%
Waist: 37.5"

I hit the weights early today because I've got a dumpster sitting in my yard and need to do some serious house cleaning and getting rid of a ton of stuff, which I figured would be mildly physical and I didn't want it to impact my workout.

Squats:
1 X 8 X 205
1 X 10 X 255

Straight Legged Deadlifts
1 X 10 X 245

Pull Ups:
8 X B.W. + 15 (I'm no hairygrandpa on these. He did 7 or 8 with 30 extra pounds and weights 40 pounds more than me to begin with!!!)

Bench Presses:
1 X 8 X 95 warm up
1 X 9 X 185 ( Kaprice - didn't get the 10. I will in 2 days though!! I promise)

Military Presses:
1 X 10 X 105

Face Pulls
1 X 10 X 60

Rope Press Downs:
1 X 8 X 40
1 X 5 X 40

Barbell Curls:
1 X 7 X 85

After that, I came home and had my protein shake and then started cleaning out my house, carrying all kinds of things that I couldn't take to the dump for the past 9 years. Boxes of old tiles, drywall pieces, wood, chairs, rolled up carpets - it's unbelievable what you find when you start trying to throw things out.

In a little while I'm going to hop on the exercise bike and aim for 500 calories. I'm expecting it may be extremely low intensity, so 500 calories may take me 2 hours. We'll see how it goes. I don't have a lot left so I'm going to go easier for longer if needed.

Fitbit says I've burned 2,700 calories so far today. So far I've had a bag of beef jerky, 1 scoop café select, 1 scoop modern protein (post workout). 470 calories total and 80 grams protein.

Just got off the bike. Fitbit says I've burned 3300+ calories. I should finish the day out around 3600. I should finish the day with an intake of approx. 800...maybe 900 calories. I should have a deficit today of 2600-2700 calories.

Let's see if I have just killed my metabolism. The funny thing is, I am getting an endorphin release from all the low intensity exercise. I am feeling really good and happy.

I remember when I did an extreme cut I kept stalling like 15 pounds before my goal ****ing insane seem like any food that I ate would have bloated me

Yup. It is time to bring out the sledgehammer now that HGP kicked me in the butt. I've been stuck in the 175-180 range for a month. I remember being in college and having this happen too and never getting past it. I expect to have a good update tomorrow morning.

Yup. It is time to bring out the sledgehammer now that HGP kicked me in the butt.

What what sledgehammer might that be?

What what sledgehammer might that be?

Just what I've been doing...increasing calories burned with some cardio, etc.

Ironically I got a fitbit from my gf for my bday and it is tracking my calories burned, which pushes me a little. If course, if my metabolism is slow, the fitbit can't know that since it is just an algorithm based on heart rate, movement, etc. So I should be burning much less with my slow metabolism. Or, it may prove that even after months of low caliries, metabolic slowdown is minimal beyond what is explained by beung lighter and not carrying around extra weight when I do stuff? We will see. But either way, losing this last 18 is going to be brutal.

Man, I don't know how you'll keep this up. More props to you but stay healthy my friend.

Me neither...gonna do it while I can. Trying to keep cardio intensity low so that it isn't too taxing. Unfortunately, it has to go on forever to burn any calories in that case. Right now I am finding time, but when work picks up, which could be anytime, it will be hard.

Honestly, all this effort has improved my mood and made me feel good and happy. I am also sleeping better and so far it seems I need less sleep the last couple days. Could just be coincidence.
Kaprice - did you see my bench numbers?

Just shut up!

Ok. Don't give up man. You are right behind, you can catch me, I am playing. I've been benching 3x per week.

Today's weigh in:

Going in the right direction. Will have some photos up shortly.

Been cleaning out a tin shed that had a roof collapse and was full of junk for a couple hours. Really exhausted right now. Can't figure out why (sarcasm). Made good progress. Going to take a break and get some errands done and then get back to work this afternoon. May have to toss an extra 100-200 calories into the mix to keep this activity up, haha.

Awesome! You are a "Transformer"!
Keep going, the goal is very near!

Thanks man. You poked the bear. I know you are right there with me and I don't want to let you down.

So, today I spent a lot of effort ripping my tin shed apart, throwing stuff in the shed in a dumpster, etc. Lots of physical labor. Then did some errands, came back and threw more into the dumpster, then rode the stationary bike for 85 minutes. Fitbit has me at 3750 calories for the day, and I have eaten 800 calories. No weights today.

You are a machine - unbelievable! Very inspiring.....

rode the stationary bike for 85 minutes.

I bet you were watching a movie while riding!

Can't even imagine to do so much cardio in one sitting, jesus.

Just saw this log. In really late! ;)

Thinking about pulling the trigger on two bottles of Sup3r-11 for a cut. I have let myself go TOO FAR lately.

I loved XI-KT, and this is even higher dosed.

AWESOME progress in here from the beginning, man.

I am with you. You know how much I hate cardio...I'm doing lower intensity so I can keep it going for a while and I was listening to music, texting, emailing, reading threads on here. I was distracted enough to let it go by faster.

Hey man, I am glad you made it! You should check out our six week challenge - can you lose 18 pounds in 6 weeks? Jump in there.

Today's Weigh In( sorry, been driving almost all day and in meetings) :

Bodyweight: 172.2
Aria Bodyfat % : 20.5%
Waist: 37"

Fitbit says I finished the day at 3,997 calories. Damn, should have spent 1 more minute on the bike!

I've been working all day, fairly inactive, but should have time to lift tonight.

Ok, so I was a little late getting to the weights tonight and completely exhausted when I went. Probably should have held off, but pushed on and did the following:

Deadlifts:
1 x 8 x 225 warm up
1 x 10 x 355

Leg Presses
1 x 8 x 590

Bent Over Rows
1 x 10 x 165

Bench Presses
1 x 8 x 95 warm up
1 x 8 x 185

Honestly, this point in the workout, I just hit a wall and I was toasted. I couldn't bring myself to keep going, so I gave in. Wanted to push but I came home and realized I couldn't even function because I was so exhausted. Taking a shower was difficult, hahaha.

The good news is, it was time for a refeed so I had 4 oz. Pasta, some bread, chicken, shrimp and some left over creme sauce that I froze from last week. For dessert I had an ice cream cookie sandwich. Total cals for the meal is about 1500 and I've had 320 the rest of the day.

Going to bed earlier tonight. I had to get up early today and was working all day, so it was just a tiring day after such an active weekend. Hope the refeed recharges me for another week.

What???
More than 1000kcal? How can you even sleep at night?

What???

Oh, it's part of the plan. I am feeling fat and lazy though. And I don't think I will have any problem sleeping at night. I was almost 5 pounds lighter today than last Tuesday, 4 pounds lighter than last Monday.

But yeah, I am tired. Haha

Really? 9 pounds in 2 weeks? I didn't notice that. That's HUGE!

Oh, I think I misread that.

So, you've lost 5 pounds since Tuesday? If so, sounds like you're on track for your contest, no?

No, it is 4-5 pounds in one week. Last week on Monday I was 176 and then had my refeed before starting the challenge on Tuesday and I was 177 to start the challenge. I think 176 is a more fair starting # though. As of yesterday morning I was 172.2....4 pounds from the 176, 5 from the 177.

Today's Weigh In:
Bodyweight: 173.6 (up a pound and a half from yesterday, from the refeed I'd say)
Aria Bodyfat %: 20.3%
Waist: 37.25" ....maybe a little less. Could tell there was a little more than 37".

So, this entire thing is a lot of work and it sucks. Adding in this exercise to everything is a real killer, but I know it will get easier. One upside to the dumpster/clean out I'm doing at my house is that my basement is getting some space and I can dig out the treadmill that's down there. This will give me a treadmill option and a stationary bike option, which will allow me to change things up a little more. Plus, of course, I can still go outside and run or walk, but that's more difficult at night, in the rain, etc.

At this point, I figure I've got abou 15 pounds until I'm where I want to be, or at least within a few pounds of it. 5 weeks left. Right on pace.

And an upside for Kaprice - I was so exhausted last night that by the time I got to bench presses, I actually did one rep LESS than 2 days ago. Wrong direcetion for sure ....when it happened I knew you'd be right there and I tried REAL hard for 9, just so that I could at least say I stayed the same, but there are ups and downs. Right now, I think of you every time I lie on that bench.

Good decision to chose the treadmill over running outsides.
With your new slim, girly figure, you could be sexually assaulted at night. :) <---sorry, got an malicious envy attack

You just wait until I bring this same intensity to a bulk. You got my back on that too, hairygrandpa ? You keep challenging me.

Your bulk log will be awesome, men. Then we will see if "less is more", I'm very interested how this will work out for you!

Your bulk log will be awesome, men. Then we will see if "less is more", I'm very interested how this will work out for you!

I hope so. I hope to give back half of what all you guys have given me at least.

Today's diet is:

1 bag beef jerky and a Muscle milk, 4 oz. 93% fat free burger, 1 oz fat free cheese, 1 bag broccoli and a protein pudding.

Totals: 890 calories/116 grams protein. A little light on the protein I guess today.

No weights today. Burned about 1200 calories in the exercise bike, which took hours, split in two sessions. Have to keep intensity low.

Woke up a little early this morning and got ready, now I am riding the bike, AGAIN. I am trying to see if an early morning workout will help energize me for the busy day today. Sleeping an extra hour may have been better, but I am testing it because I noticed that I really do feel much better after cycling low intensity for about an hour.

This morning's weigh in:

Bodyweight: 174.6
Aria Bodyfat %: 20.9%

Forgot to measure my waist ...oh well.

Not sure how my weight went up, given the fact my Fitbit shows 3200 calories burned yesterday and I took in 900 calories, but it has to be water and good mass I guess.

I've been both busy and exhausted this week. I hit the weights last night, but came home completely exhausted and actually quite moody. I couldn't even finish the weight workout, again. I was just exhausted and couldn't do it. All my lifts were less than I hoped for.

Squats:
1 X 8 X 205
1 X 5 X 265 (got 10 X 255 - this just felt heavy and I've been doing a lot of bike riding, so my legs are just tired)

Straight Legged Deadlifts:
1 X 10 X 255

Pull Ups:
1 X 8 + 2 Rest Pause Reps X BW + 15

Bench Presses:
1 X 8 X 95
1 X 8 X 185 (@KAPrice, the door is open!)

Military Presses:
1 X 8 X 110

And at this point I was just done.

I went home, and I crumbled and had a cheat meal. Barbeque chicken with 4 mozzarella cheese sticks and a couple onion rings. Wish I hadn't done it, but I probably needed some food. I was getting pissy with my gf even, haha.

I didn't get up this morning to ride the bike. I've hit my wall and I am totally exhausted. I could barely get out of bed and I've been moving slowly all day. I've been doing way more cardio than I am used to, coupled with an extremely busy week at work, and I just hit my wall I think. I will go for a walk this afternoon and ride the bike if I feel up to it.

Today's weigh in was a disappointment:

Bodyweight: 175.1 pounds
Aria Bodyfat %: 19.4%
Waist: 37.25"

I hate to suggest 3 pound increase since Monday is water weight, but I also realized that I've been taking Alpha-Yohimbine at least 1X per day before my cardio sessions, which I have not been using, and I believe that can cause some retention too. The only up side is that when I feel my stomach, I really feel like it is getting leaner and I'm noticing a difference. I just gotta keep plugging and get back on track and be strict again.

Why don't you scale back on the cardio so your weight training gets back on track? At least leave the all out sessions for the last week or 2. Long ways to go but you'll get there, as long as you stay alive!

Yeah, I'm partially just not used to it. I've been trying to keep it REALLY low intensity with the hopes it doesn't effect my weight training. I'm going to lighten up even more. I need to find a balance. What the fitbit has made me realize is that on the days I work, I burn VERY few calories. Like, 2100-2500 calories most of those days. On the weekends, I can be over 3,000 calories because I'm moving and doing things. I feel like adding in some stuff to get activity up during the week days should be a huge help - but you are right, I need to keep it in check.

I'm also getting VERY fed up with this last 20 pounds and I just want to push hard and kill it (but not me!). Sometimes the only way you know when it's too much is to do it and then pull back, haha. I would like to improve on the cardio, if I could get to a point where I could burn 500 calories in 30 minutes and recover from that - I feel like that could actually have a dramatic impact on my long-term weight management, now that I realize that my work days are so inactive. But I tried to go from 0-60 and now I need to pull back.

Rest for 2 days and eat Super clean..

Good advice and I agree... but I am at war and maybe won't follow precisely. I am listening, but I'm not good at applying things that I know are right all the time. My thinking is that I'm going to just go for a walk in the woods with my gf today to get some calories burned, but lay off anything else today and then maybe do a morning cardio session tomorrow and a walk in the afternoon...I'm really just trying to find a really low intensity way to burn calories so that I can sustain it...but I overdid still.

And, after typing all that, I realize I am being stupid and I may just back off for a few days and do what I should. haha.

Low intensity or not, you can't sustain decent recovery doing this long term. What you've been doing is what my friends in contest prep do near the end. They usually look like death and they are eating twice as much if not more than you. Don't be so hard on yourself. Take a step back then take 2 steps forward.

So, I had a cheat meal two nights ago, and yesterday I took it easy and didn't work out at all and stuck to my diet until later at night. I had 2 oz. More of the 93% burger than normal, and then suddenly about an hour later I was just looking for food. I had a couple handfuls of nuts and a spoonful of peanut butter and two small pieces of chocolate but I wanted MORE. Don't know what happened. Today I am extremely tired, but it doesn't feel like it is due to low calories, low blood sugar, etc. I just want to sleep. Been on this diet for a while and never felt this and wouldn't have expected to feel that way after a day off. Just been a strange, low energy day. Wonder if maybe I am getting something as I have a couple friends that have been sick.

And to make matters worse:

Bodyweight: 178 pounds
Aria Body fat %: 18.7%
Waist: 37.5"

It seems like I'm bloated too, I never really bloat, or I've always been too fat to notice, haha...But I have been using alpha burn, which could be causing water retention and I normally avoid Yohimbine like the plague, but alpha-Y is not too bad.

It's gotta be water, because my diet hasn't been that far off the tracks. But still feel like I will always be losing this battle. Haha....ok, done venting, back to it, just gotta keep pushing.

So, this morning I was really out of it and a mess. It got better as the day. went on. I felt like I really blew it because some of the definition I was just starting to finally see was gone and my weight was up. Add my feeling dizzy, tired and air brained to that and I was thinking like everyone else about why the hell am I doing this crazy diet?

This afternoon , I decided to do some cardio on the bike. Low intensity, and I could quit whenever. I got 90 minutes in. Burned about 650 calories. Felt dizzy when I was done so I downed a tablespoon of mct oil. Between the exercise and the oil I felt much more awake, with it, less dizzy, etc. Things got better and I feel good now.

Also, all the sweating must have shed some water because my definition isn't back to where it was getting....But it has improved noticeably and the veins in my arm are starting to pop out again (my arms havent had veins that I could feel with my hands, until this week).

I will finish up today around 1100 calories because of a a little extra food and the oil. Back at it.
