I recently heard that tap water contains some estrogen as the water plants cannot remove estrogen that is in sewage water due to women using birth control pills.. anybody else here anything about this?? I haven't been drinking tap water lately.. I'm going to buy gallons of spring water..

I know it's probably just trace amounts of estrogen but still.. if I can avoid estrogen I will at all costs.. :p

i recall a study that showed that there is estrogen in our water supply. the actual study was done in sweden iirc.

and the bioavailability would be pretty high. estrogen, unlike T, has high bioavailability. that's why they prescribe birth control PILLs for women.

now, the amounts present in tap water are pretty darn low, but it's there. so, bioavailability is high, but concentration is low.

**** it, its not going to be enough to do anything significant or people would be popping with gyno all over.... I'll take the risk and save hundreds of dollars on water :D

Your fear shouldn't be if there is actually estrogen in water but chemicals that are in water, food and other products that acts as estrogen in the body. Many pesticides acts as estrogen in the body and is stored in fat deposits in your body. Since many of these chemical and substances have an affinity for fat, it is very hard to rid the body of them even with additional fat loss.
