Enough is Enough! C0rk's Weight Loss Log

Went out a partied yesterday, seeing as it was the Sunday before the marathon and many were out and about. Made sure I got a leg workout in beforehand, though, kept with light beers/shots and went home early. A friend of mine mentioned that he'd thought I'd lost a lot of weight, which was good to hear.

Weighed in @ 171 this morning but, again, not too worried about weight gain. I'll say it again--I love my new routine. Went up in all my leg lifts yesterday. Did sprints today, though I felt like crap, probably remnant of last nights imbibing.

I'd decided I'm going to try out the velocity diet in a few weeks. Figured, an effective (and somewhat novel) 2 week diet regimen would be cool to try out. Any thoughts on this? I think I'm going to continue with the same supplements I'm currently taking (Creatine, BCAA, BA) along with my CLAs, EFAs, and multi.

Well, my 10 lbs of protein arrived so I figure I'll start the velocity diet this week. 2 days ago, I weighed in @ 171, but I went out last night so I didn't feel that weighing myself this morning would be any good of a reference.

6 shakes a day =
6 scoop TEAMSKIP True Protein (156 cal, 34 g protein x 6)
8 T milled flax (53 x 4 cal)
Psyillium husks (as needed)
-----
1256 cals/day, 216g protein/day

On workout days, I'm thinking of throwing in 1/2 cup of rolled oats (27 g carbs) as the diet isn't really supposed to be ketogenic. Also, I'm thinking of upping my EFA intake to maybe double (12 caps/day). Thoughts?

good luck with the velocity diet. I am intrigued with it and want to try it someday. Will you post some before (and some progress pictures) afters. I like seeing how peoples bodies change from week to week, month to month. I'm strugglin on my diet and wonder if this is what I should do to get back on track.

I'll be sure to post some after pictures. I'm only staying on it 2-3 weeks though.

Other ways to monitor progress:

- Look in the mirror all the time. I can see progress (and regression) pretty obviously.
- Pay attention to how your clothes fit.
- Get your BF % tested. I did this and it verified my visual conclusions.

Well, naturally I assumed a protein shake consisted of protein and carbs. For example, mine consist of:

Whey
Skim Milk
Non-fat Cottage Cheese
Rolled Oats
Blueberries

Plus, I'm not trying to bulk. I'm recomping. 40g-60g carbs @ ANY time isn't gonna work for me, let alone from sugary gatorade. I don't know anything about this "Waxy Maize" stuff, though. A quick google shows it to be some kind of wonder-carb, haha.

OHH ok.. I know a lot of people that just do a scoop of whey alone before and after. Waxy maize is aMAIZing hehehe! You know what.. I'm gonna change my avatar too! Go flyers!
