Eating Challenges

sooo what woudl u guys recommend as the best nutrient partitioner to use before a big cheat meal like an eating challenge?

Yo... Cpt. SILO, how about Manning up for the Big Leagues? Here is the schedule for the Nathan's Hotdog eating contest, Grand Prize is $25,000!!! Yeah... Boyyyy!!!!! Dude, I would so cheer you on, come on at least try and qualify, PLEASE????

Haha your support would probably be needed, I have looked at that and the closest qualifier is 14 hours away, and since I just started doing this I think this year might have to wait unfortunately. But if I can continue getting better, I would love to go to a qualifier next Year!

Yeah I've seen the best puke save, great stuff haha. Have you watched any of Furious Pete's vids? Guy is a monster

Yea I have watched a bunch of them he is really talented, it's cool how now he gets to travel around the world because he eats. Although he doesn't compete in the IFOCE which does the big contests like Nathans. So, I would be interested in seeing how he would stack up vs. the top eaters of that organization.

I agree with both of your statements... Nathans is one of the world's biggest regular competitions, isn't it? 20k to the male winner and 20k to the female winner. A local radio station here in Atlanta, GA is sponsoring someone (oriental female) who has qualified to enter it. She has been entering local eating competitions here in ATL and is undefeated and she competes against men or women! Well bro, you got me hooked, I am and will continue to be SUBd, you keep posting your challenge attempts and I will continue to watch them my Brotha!!!

Thanks! Yea Nathans is pretty much the Super Bowl of the Competitive Eating World. And it has the largest purse too. The cool thing is that is you qualify, they pay for your travel expenses so that is definitely a goal of mine down the road. This summer I am looking at a few hot dog eating contests so I could gauge where I am at.

I've heard a little bit about that eater from ATL, if she can put down the 10 hot dogs needed to qualify for the finals that would be sweet, but I have a feeling she won't.

Today's TRIVIA Question will be posted at 2:30pm Eastern Standard Time... So come one... come all!!! Invalid Link Removed

Good Luck with that, I mean seriously, you were designed for the Nathan's HotDog challenge with your speed and capacity for food, I would say it is definitely something you could work towards.

As far as the small 5'0" 100Lb, Asian woman I was speaking of that Q-100 Radio-station here in Atlanta are sponsoring her to enter, I don't think she has much of a chance, I mean I think she may qualify, but not win. The only reason why I think this is because she has never practiced nor has ever been good with speed competitions, all her past competitions have been won on capacity alone, she openly admitted that on the radio when they had her on the other day, either way, she is a local so I'm pulling for her, hope she proves me wrong!!!

I have never done an "official" challenge, however I always wanted to. I eat large quantities of food, all the time.lol

I ate a Chipotle double meat burrito, 4 tacos, half of my wifes burrito, walked out the door to a self serve Frozen Yogurt place, where a buddy bet me $500 I couldn't eat 3.5lbs of frozen yogurt, which I easily did. Figuring it had to be 6-7lbs at least, and honestly wasn't even "full".

Some good eating in this thread! lol

Easy $500 haha Depending on where you are located look at eatfeats.com and look for some local challenges. Take some pictures and let us know how you do!

Do I smell a challenge... we can do a timed eat-off via youtube!

biglifter85 aka. "CAPTAIN SILO" vs. imprezivr6 (The Newcomer)

Hey guys, I'm not trying to instigate anything here, well yeah... I am, but not anything mean, just some healthy competition! If both parties are interested I might be able to generate a FINAFLEX prize for the winner? Keyword is "might" I just figured why ask the owners if there is no possibility of the challenge happening! So... What says you.... GENTLEMEN???

I may check that out. My problem is I don't like being a spectacle, so anything there i have to sit in front of a bunch of people is out..lol

Hey bro, not in any way trying to call you out, I mean I just saw an opportunity to throw out a challenge and maybe make a contest out of it, win something, who knows what I can possibly get my bosses to agree on as a prize if they would be interested at all, probably only because of the publicity on the site, but we would have to see.

As far as you not liking to be a spectacle or putting yourself out there for others to see, can't really be a competitive eater without doing so, so maybe it isn't the right sport for you. I mean in order for this to be a viable contest we would have to come up with some parameters in which both you and "Captain SILO" agree upon and execute via youtube and post them for everyone here on AnabolicMinds to see and the winner gets a prize.

Your Call bro, no biggy to me either way, just sounded fun is all, so I meant no offense by the suggestion!

LOL.. No offense taken.

I am not trying to be a competitive eater, so it not being the right "sport" for me, would be a fair assessment. I have no interest in eating competitions, it is not my thing.

I wouldn't mind doing some eating challenges at restaurants though, and after all that is what this thread is about, no?

Yes & No, biglifter85 does eating challenges, but I think because of his gift to eat large amounts of food and in unbelievably short periods of time, he is looking into competitive eating, so Yes and No, because he does or is looking to do both! But hey, you are right, I just kinda smelled a chance to instigate a challenge and it backfired on me, LoL. I'm pretty sure biglifter85 replied to where you can find local food challenges, I think this is the place he was referring to...Invalid Link Removed, if not, it is a good place to find such challenges! Good luck to you bro!

Man I can toss some food down but I also know I ain't about to eat like that. Ughhh last thing I need is to feel sick to my stomach for hours on end.

Hey Scotty, I don't think it has to be limited to just me and imprezivr6. I think if we could get as many people on board as possible it would be more entertaining! But, I am down for it if you throw something together.

And last night I dominated some ****ey's Pulled Pork Sandwiches at the MN finals!!
Here are some Pics, Finally at 50 posts haha

It was a 6min Competition but this time it they brought in an actual pro eating organization. Invalid Link Removed
So they used "Picnic Style" rules which state you can't dunk, mash, or desecrate the food and eat it the way god intended. So the no dunking threw me off a little but it was an awesome time, packed restaurant. And the organizers talked to me afterward and said I had some serious potential!!

I put down 9 7oz sandwiches in 6min and 2nd place had 4.5. Two people actually puked during the competition, The video will be sweet haha

"CAPTAIN SILO" You again have proven yourself to be an Eating-Machine my brotha, congrats on your 2nd place, I mean that is incredible, it looked like a pretty big contest, what else did you win besides the trophy? Any money, at least a gift certificate for free food, something, right? I mean they gave me $100 for eating the most raw Jalapenos at a Cinco de Mayo contest a couple of weeks ago, something this organized must have had something to give you, right?

As far as doing some kind of eating contest again online, first, I don't know if there is anyone out there on this board that can hang with your capacity, much less your blinding eating-speed! Second, considering I can't exactly put waivers out there for everyone to sign, I have to be real careful as to what sort of contest I put out there so no one gets hurt, for legal reasons! But I will try to think of something, if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears Brotha, because I definitely agree, the egg eating contest that you won was a whole lot of fun, would love to do something similar to that again!

1st Place haha
I got $250 cash, a few T-shirts, that trophy, and possibly a paid trip to Dallas TX to compete in nationals. The Senior Regional Manager said this event was a huge success and they are looking at doing qualifiers across the nation and flying the winners down to Dallas in October. So hopefully it happens. If there is Georgia qualifier you better be there!

And, totally understandable about the liability issue, I will let you know if I think of anything.

Brilliant idea I love this!!!!
Subbed.

Dude, can you keep me in the loop if their is a Georgia qualifier anywhere near Atlanta (100miles) and I'll make the attempt, please for anyone out there reading this, I do not possess the MAD-SKILLS of Cpt. SILO, so the key words being Attempt!

Yeah Im not expecting a 1st place finish but would love the chance of an attempt if there's something goin down in Jersey.

Yo.. Cpt. SILO, what do you think of another "Gone in 60 seconds" but this time as many saltine crackers as you can eat in 60 seconds, no water just like the cracker challenge they have all over youtube???

The Senior Regional Manager said the MN event was a great success and he was going to meet with the founder's sons later this week, who are currently in charge of operations and was really going to rally for having nationals. He said he would contact me so I would drop the hint about these two states haha.

I think that a "Gone in 60 seconds" type of contest would be the best, cheap and quick. Saltines would be a good contest, funny to watch I assume too haha The only two things that I would think about is making sure the contestants show their mouth is clear and making sure everyone has the exact same brand and style of crackers.

Here's the Finals Video!

Which guy came in first? You said you came in second right? Was it that huge biker looking dude all the way on the end sitting down?

biglifter85 came in first.

On a side note biglifter85, have you always been a fast eater?

I know I have always ate super fast, even as a kid. I am usually done with a meal in a fraction of the time it takes others to eat.

Just curious.

LoL, I just re-read the post... duhhh! He was saying that 2nd ate 4.5 and I took it as he took 2nd... Derrr! My bad Cpt. SILO!

Thinking back yea, Growing up my parents always told me to not eat so fast haha. I guess that transferred into competitive eating haha.

lol. Likewise. I will sit down for dinner, and be done with an entire meal before others are done with a salad.

I have never actually "tried" to eat fast however, so I am not sure how good I would be at eating over my normal speed. You definitely are a machine, and eat at a ridiculous pace, that I am sure most of your competitors can't even fathom..haha

Hey guys come check out my new eating Challenge (Gone in 60 Seconds part-deuce) on my TRIVIA thread.... Invalid Link Removed

I found a contest in your area! You did well at the jalapeño contest and I believe this is in your area. Although I don't know if you like to go to events like these but

You are right, that would probably be up my alley of expertise, not as good as you, but I would want to know if the prize is just $250 gift card, cash, and if the winner gets all $250, etc. I will look into it, and I need to see if I'm actually going to be off for Memorial day... I work for FINAFLEX in the office, I don't REP from home, I am actually in the office online for them Mon-Fri from 10am - 6pm! But, Thank You, definitely going to Look into this one for Sure!!!

Sounds good man!

Also when my buddies and I were skiing out in UT I took on this little restaurant's challenge. The challenge consisted of 12 eggs, A bunch of fillings, hash browns, a bread item(Toast, English muffin, or Pancake), and 20oz of soda. You had 20min to complete the challenge, and the standing record was 9:30 ;)

3 minutes & 22 seconds! WoW... You don't stop Bro & I LOVE it!!!

It is crazy how he just shoves food in there. I thought I could eat until I saw this guy. I am but a minnow in the water this guy sharks about in.

Easily the craziest part of that was downing the 20 ounce soda in one shot. Talk about burning. I will have to show the wife this one. She likes these as much as I do.

Funny that you mention that, I was going to PM you about that, but since you brought it up, I'll throw this out there. I showed the owners some of your eating contests and they said if you land up going to the Nationals in TX for the shredded pork sandwich eating contest, they want to add a little sponsorship your way and want more information on it! They would like contact info for the eating contest as a whole, they would like to see every single contestant drinking their water from a FINAFLEX shaker cup and for you to wear a FINAFLEX t-shirt as well as send a Banner for you to take a picture in front of after your placing? Is this something that might interest you? As far as $Money$ and all that kind of stuff goes, I am not at liberty to negotiate, but if it interests you, I can definitely get you in contact with the Big-Wigs here and maybe y'all can work something out! What do you think? PM me!
