Easing the pain of figure competition prep w/CardioTryx

Background: I'm a 30 yo female currently about 7 weeks out from my first national level figure competition. I've been training consistently 5-6 days a week for 2.5 years, regularly doing cardio sessions but it wasn't until this year in January when I started prepping for my very first competition that the volume of cardio in my program became quite high. I'm doing 2-hours a day 6 days a week right now, which I'm sure you can imagine is pretty tough to get through on most days! Getting the chance to try out and log CardioTryx is heaven sent so THANK YOU THANK YOU to the EvoMuse team for the opportunity!

For cardio I typically use the stair climber, treadmill, stationary bike and rower. I thought I would use a heart rate monitor to log data but turns out mine is so old the battery crapped out so until I get it replaced I'm logging numbers off the cardio machines, heart rate 15min in to the cardio session and perceived effort.

Logs coming next!

Always been curious about this product; curious to see your experiences with it. Good luck!

My usual go to cardio equipment is the stair climber, for 45min to an hour. I did a baseline session without any pre workouts or other stimulants on the Fat Burner mode, level 7 for 60minutes. I didn't have a working heart rate monitor so I used an app on my phone to get a reading 15min into the session which was 135bpm. Perceived effort rated on a scale of 0-10: 7.5

The first day I used CardioTryx I dosed 6 caps, timed as follows:

Weight lifting + 75min -> CardioTryx + 60min -> cardio

I wasn't sure if the CT could be taken with a meal or if I needed to wait so I erred on the side of caution and decided to wait about an hour. Dsade noted later that timing wise I could take CT WITH my meal so going forward after the first day that's what I have been doing.

I definitely didn't notice any weird feelings or jitteriness though I DID feel like my heart rate was increased during the cardio session (before I even checked the rate). My legs were very sore from training them the previous day so I was anticipating climbing those stairs to be a majorly painful struggle but the 60min pretty much flew by easily. Not that I wasn't feeling the soreness it just didn't feel like a big struggle to keep moving. Another heart rate check 15min into the session showed I was at 155bpm. Perceived effort: 4

I figured a stationary bike workout give me some good hard numbers to compare in the absence of a heart rate monitor for an accurate calorie burn count.

The bike is generally what I do for my 2nd cardio session of the say so I did a baseline workout, 45min, 10pm:
Level 6
10.00miles
(282calories)
Effort: 6

The next day I took CT prior to my morning cardio, around 11am so there was a delay of 12hours between taking CT and logging my night time bike workout. I did this on purpose to see if the effects of one morning dose of CT would last me throughout the day for both cardio sessions.
Level 6
10.31miles
(288calories)
Effort: 4

Next log will be on the bike again, same length of time and level but earlier in the day so I can take CT an hour right before.

How's the log coming?
