i just dont have money to buy like 10 dumbbell pairs.

i would like to buy dumbbell handles and collars and some 10kg, 5kg, 2kg, 1kg, 0,5kg plates . putting plates on db handles just like on barbell. do you think it is a good idea? doing incline db press will be still possible?

You could do it. Your weight would be limited on the incline though just based on the simple designs of those things. Look into buying some adjustable dumbells. It would make things a little more versatile.

could you explain why? if i use a bit larger plates (22lbs)? i can easily put side of a plate on my tight and get into starting position as normal...

something like the powerblocks

if you plan on always going that heavy, sure that's feasible. Lighter with smaller plates though will have you stabbing yourself in the thigh every time.

yeah i know, but what to do. i dont have money so ill stick with what i have. dedication is more than some fancy equipment lol

try this

get a dip/chin station.

weighted vest

some light dumbells like 20 and 30s for all kinds of laterals and such.

Dont have to get it all at once, but it can be a start

then look for a used barbell set. You could also find a sqaut stands for cheap use.

heres squat stands for 155 new, probably could find some on craigs list a whole lot cheaper.

Also hit up craigslist. I got a dumbbell set 15-45 plus a rack fir $150. Then I got a bench and about 400 lbs of weights, and a smith machine for $200. Everything Weider. People get desperate and I got everything for $350 :-)

Agreed. Craiglist has some great deal

ok heres the low down.Buy a door frame pull-up bar,buy an adjustable bench ,buy a longer pair of dumbbell handles(standard ones) 18 inches or more.Buy a few 25lb plates some 5's 10',15's ect.....

If you do some stiff legged deadlifts and some bulgarian split squats or pistol squats along with lunges you can work legs and then with the bench and db's you have a pretty complete workout system. All for under 200$ or so.

I did that when I was living in France for a year.Bought the bare essentials and was DB pressing 40kg for 12-15 reps by the end of it.

Chest+Shoulders+Triceps:
Incline DB Press
DB Shoulder Press
Tricep Kickback
Rear Delt Flys

Back+Biceps+Traps
Pull-ups
DB Rows
Hammer Curls
DB Shrugs

Legs:very high reps 25-35 for everything
DB Lunges
Pistol Squats
Bulgarian Split Squats
DB Calf Raises(very high reps 75-100,you wont have a lot of wieght to work with but you can rig up a calf block)

This is what I did and would do again if I was short on money, wanted to workout at home

I have a barbell and rack along with other equipment now and what I think is excellent for doing dumbbell work are country power hooks. You can hand them off a barbell and as long as you have longer dumbbell handles 18 inches + for standard pairs and any olympic pairs you can get up to 65kg on each handle with ease.Look them up man they're handy and will cost you under 250$ altogether including plates to get a dumbbell set from 0-65kg

I got the powerblocks 90lb each set with stand for $250 I think off craigslist (my pool table too ;) ). Over $600 new.

Craiglist is really the place to go for people looking for workout equipment and what not. Lot's of lazy bastards out there that decide they no longer want or need their expensive " garbage ". Works out great for us.

I have been havin to workout at home myself for the last 3 months , pullup bar, an ez curl bar with some Olympic weights, , just enough for curls and skullcrushers , and 120 pounds worth of weights for my dumbells, for pressing , I do unilateral floor press , can't go as heavy but my shoulder is fd up right now any

Way, but I figure if I can work up to to unilateral presses with as much weight as I can throw on one dumbell, that may be pretty strong
