Dr. Says I have calcific tendinitis of the shoulder

Randomly started experiencing serious pain in my right shoulder on Sunday after doing some chainsaw work. Went to bed that night and my sleep was interrupted by the pain. I was hoping it would go away on its own so I began treating with ice and antiinflammatories. By Wednesday afternoon pain was still present with no improvement so I went to get X-Rays. Dr says:

"No acute fracture or dislocation. Calcification can be seen lateral to the humeral head. No significant degenerative changes."

Through my research I've realized this is pretty common and normally treatable through non evasive means.

I already take Glycine and glucosamine with MSM.

I plan to start also taking collagen and cissus.

Additionally I plan to continue icing, antiinflammatories and range of motion/rotator cuff exercises.

Do you guys have any experience with this and or have any other suggestions?

Thank You

Look up "bloodless surgery". My Chiropractor did extreme range of motion on my left shoulder and it resolved the muscle/bone adhesions. It HURT. And it WORKED.

May want to try the supps you mentioned as well as see an ortho. Sometimes there are things that do not show on X-rays. This could come back to haunt you later.

It's been about a week. I feel 100 times better and have even stopped pain meds. Still hurts when I move it a certain way but otherwise I'm pain free.

I give the most conservative "go to doctor" advice all the time. But I think this sounds like a take 2 weeks off from upper body, ice, ibuprofen case.

And as chef implied I strongly doubt any biceps calcification are what u are feeling. This is a biceps tendinitis or mild cuff impingement based on your mechanism of injury with the chain saw.

I strongly discourage the extreme chiroprsctic ROM tactic. That's a sloppy technique and one that could lead to labral damage and surgery.
