Dr John, hMG in conjunction with hCG?

Just curious. I didn't see any mention of hMG in your protocol sticky's. I am reading about some of the very cutting edge people running hMG in conjunction with hCG. Boosts FSH and makes the testes more sensitive to hCG.

I was curious to know if hMG is part of your protocol, your opinion, and if it is something you are possibly looking into as part of your TRT management protocols.

I think it's used more for fertility when trying to concieve.. Haven't seen it used in other cases, although it could be.

It's pretty costly from what I've seen.

Assuming men who is not trying to conceive
what are the additional benefits if he already uses HCG?

Any research along this line would be helpfull.

It is basically a mix of LH, FSH, and hCG. It adds to sensitivity of testicals and increases T even more while making the testes more sensitive to hCG.

It would help if there was some independent test,
by someone who do not care about fertility but do care about quality of life.

Does it make one feel better
does the balls hang better
better erection
better orgasm
shorter refraction time

which one?

JansZ, from the stuff Ive read, all of the above except refraction time.

Refraction time and Prolactin go hand in hand.

That is the issue. So it is probably a cost versus benefit issue as far as using it on patients. The costs may outweigh the bennie's.

I am understanding your logic as well here Dr John. With LH receptors throughout the body, increasing LH to boost T makes sense. Increasing FSH does not, unless your a guy looking to concieve.

I will try and dig up the info about hMG boosting hCG's effectiveness. Alot of stuff I read I tend to keep jumping around and around without saving pages - I do not have my own computer, so I have no way of saving info.

Yes, you do;
Keep collecting the reference on Notepd, Excel or Word, on the end e-mail it to yourself.

If hMG is a mix of FSH and hCG, using it w/ hCG effectively results in a larger dose of hCG. More hCG=greater response.

Does this show that fsh stimulates leydig cells? If so wouldn't hmg compliment hcg? This seems to show that fsh affects more than just sperm production.

THANK YOU! This study echos a very similar study(which was probably the same study on a diff web page) that I read a week ago :cheers:

"Pretreatment of the coculture with pFSH enhanced the steroidogenic capacity of Leydig cells and increased the number of hCG receptors" - Which equals a more increased hCG resonse.
