Not sure. Some of those guys were really going at it though. I also like how they use their legs to give them momentum to actually make the weights move. I've got a buddy that uses his legs on shrugs and I always laugh at him for it.
 
Lol! I was like wth with that skinny kid and his buddy. The weights never even moved at all and he just moved his head back and forth. What the hell is the muscle that that's working?
 
My favorite was the retard that strutted back to his phone after his killer set. Lol!
 
Geez those we great. Reminded me the other day two high school kids were shrugging in the power rack. They had 225 on the bar and would bend down like 1/4 rep squats amd jump up and shot their elbows out with it. Was crazy. Everyone else was just looking like wtf

I'm most amazed by the amount of time they waste by putting so many plates on in order to nod their heads a few times.

"Ok everyone, shut down the gym and send all of the plates to the power rack. Brutus wants to have a 3 second seizure."
 
My gym put up a sign that read:
Please no camping at the machines. What does camping mean?!
Please do not take up a machine just to sit and text, Facebook, and Instagram.

That video was stupid. When I do shrugs, I take my sweet time with each rep. And dont use my entire body to thrust pump hump jump peck or whatever these guys were doing. Am I wrong or am I the idiot here lol?

No way did he get those shoulders with light weight a perfect form. You need at least 500lbs and short choppy movements to build traps it's a proven fact.

So there is a lot that can get at me in my commercal gym, but this one is up there with the best. Our gym is packed with cardio, fitness classes, indoor track, stretching areas and tons of space to do whatever, but the weight area is small (semi decent but small). Anyways some times a person has the audacity to bring a mat, throw it in the middle of the weight area and stretch or something. Again not a big deal but if you do that, congrats you are a duche or just retarded. Its ok though im a douche too. I started doing deads in the yoga area (j/k)
 
Since we installed the lifting platform in the free weight area the douchery seems to have increase by double. Basically dudes deadlifting and dropping it! I was tidying up dumbells area and some guy did that with one plate behind me. Gave me a fright lol.
I did the 'are you serious?' look twice before he finally figured it out and stopped. :28:
 
Must be going around, had some guys this morning doing deads with 135 on the bar. Dropping them after each rep like it's crossfit or something. And they weren't bumper plates, they were getting quite a few looks, lol.

I read that it was dangerous to lower your deadlifts slowly. Is this true?

Slow, sure. But you can guide them down without just letting go. Even on my maxes, recently 520, I eased it down.
 
Yea, you don't just drop them out of your hands at the top at least, lol. Especially not at 135
