Douchebags at the gym...

Sorry, but you also sounded kinda like a d-bag here.

First of all . . . that's not a question, it's a statement.

Secondly, I explained myself pretty clearly in my first post . . . clearly you didn't understand.

So yah ... you call ME a douche for calling someone else on their douchey behavior, I'm going to throw it back at'cha.
Sorry if that hurts your feelings, Skippy. If you can't take it, don't fling it.

Calm your titties, boys!

well i caught the macho guy again in the act of deadlifting 3 plates and then walking away. last time I had to clean up after and it took ages. not this time!

I was waiting and ready. so when he finished and started walking I said 'excuse me?', .. 'can you put the weights back please'

He had the biggest smile when i said excuse me lol. Then he was like 'oh' did as he was told. Good boy :)

Well done!!! You mean you didn't throw the plates at him and make a scene?? "Someone" could learn from that

When people show up in a group larger than two, they suddenly all become the hulk. Just a while ago three guys with their high school shirts on (trying to re-live the past I assume) came in and started stretching so that they could squat. I think the most extraneous part of their workout was their stretching. They sure wanted everyone to see them getting ready!

but at the same time who cares, if people want to live like that who are we to call them out. id say hating on them is more immature than what they are doing

I see this all the time. They're so tough in groups but such pussies when they're by themselves. Their walk changes and everything. It's comical to see

Its science. With every bro you lift with you become exponentially stronger, its called the broforce Brobi wan Bronobie should have taught you that. I for one was trained by Broda And whats the point of lifting if everyone around you isn't aware of how awesome you are about to be?
scheesh what an armature!

lmao in all seriousness though, lifting with one or two others can help a lot. some times other people can help us break mental barriers and push us further. ive PR'ed more when im working out with someone than alone and i rarely lift with others

So today there was this f*cktard punk who was using 30 lbs dumbells - across the gym from where the dumbell rack is - at one of the smith machines - I guess he was supersetting with upright rows using the smith machine. What makes the punk a f*cktard is that when I walked up to the machine directly next to his, I had to put away a set of dumbells some other p*ssy couldn't find the strength to re-rack - and he HEARD ME say something about it. So what does he do when he's done with his sets? . . . . . HE LEAVES THE F*CKING DUMBELLS AT THE SMITH MACHINE.

What did I do? . . . . .

I picked up the dumbells . . . saw where the prick was working out next ... and dropped the dumbells at his feet and said "you left your dumbells back at the smith machine - here ya go." The puss TRIED to stare me down - but he did the smart thing and picked up the dumbells and re-racked them.

I'm sorry .... but assclowns like that REALLY get under my skin.

I would have thanked you for being my servant and carrying my weights and continued to use them. After I dismissed you with a flick of my wrist.

Relates to real life as well. Group of guys always more brave when surrounded by their buddies. On their own? Pffffft, nice and quite.

Humans. Get used to them.

For sure who wants to PR alone? That's like catching a monster fish by your self sure it happened but no one saw it so does it really matter LOL! Ok I need to stop watching bro science at work I think its rubbing off on me

haha exactly! i just find it harder to do heavier weight when im alone, not because i dont have a spot but because im not confident that i can get it

I just don't want to drop the bar on my teeth and end up failing in life and on youtube because people are more likely to film your misfortune than they are to help you

Omfg!!!! haha!!! I imagined the whole thing!

Not really? How about the people that go see motivational speakers? They're all douche bags? That's a pretty big and false generalization man.

I go see them...

Eric Thomas ftw!!!

Sometimes, when seeing those gym chicks with their yoga pants, I cant suppress thoughts like those:

Really distracting...

Something interesting I read the other day. Jay Cutler almost always lifts alone. He just asks randoms for spots lol

Afterwhich I would have dropped the weights directly on your foot - with the flick of my wrist - AND LAUGHED. :13:

No you see in this hypothetical story you have already put down the weights, thinking your self triumphant, when my quick whit owns you. See the rules are that you cant go changing the scenario in which I created on the imaginary scenario you created.

I countered your hypothetical and owned YOU with another hypothetical

As you had introduced the first hypothetical, the door remained open for the appropriate counter response.

So you see, no foul committed. :D

Agreed. Does that mean you have to act like you own the whole gym? Nah.

I like lifting this way too. Between mobility and stretching, I don't have time to have a partner on rests.

Me, three! My friend has been bugging me to train with her but I don't have the energy to bs, I want to get in and out.
