Tried out a new gym during lunch. Every single machine has plates on them and most of them are empty. Nobody can put their plates back??!
Don't worry. If they are too lazy to put their plates away, they'll eventually fall out of going to the gym.

All the benches, squat rack, power rack, and hack squat had weights on them. Everything was mixed up and I had to walk around just to look for a 10lb plate. They also had collars just laying around on the floor.

I go to a 24 hour gym, and this morning I walked in at a little after 2am. Nobody was there, it was completely empty... And I was surprised, it looked like most weights had been racked and mostly everything was put away nicely. Then I walk past a bench and see that one side is completely empty, and the other side has ONE 45lb plate on it. I kinda laughed and took it off and put it away, and then when I got to the squat rack I noticed that the bar on it had one 5lb plate on one side and two tens on the other. Seriously? What kind of lopsided mother****er has been using this gym?! Benching and squatting all janky like...
Lol, that's how it was today! All the machines usually have equal unracked plates. It's was all crazy today! A 35 here, a 45 there, 10s are nowhere to be found, 2.5s don't exist....
You know I thought about the same thing. My gym has 3 2.5lb plates. They are so hard to find. I like to use them for my rotator cuff exercises before upper body days.Finding a 2.5 in my gym is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. You seriously have to dig through stacks of unmatched 45's and 10's and MAYBE you'll find one. But then you have to go find another somewhere else... I'm thinking about buying a pair of 2.5's and a pair of decent clips and just keeping those in my gym bag so I never have to waste 20 minutes looking for either ever again

Yeah I know how you feel. I have the option to go to either a foo foo crappy gym right across the street, or drive 30-40 minutes into town for the gym. I chose the long drive, because the people that lift there are definitely a lot more oriented towards my goals than the people that work in the gym that shuts down twice a day for Pilates classes and Tae Bo or whatever they do
Damn dude I can drive to the east coast Mecca for 25 mins but I can't justify that drive, even though I love it there.

Lol. I'm from LA. I work at a gym that's two doors down from a Crossfit gym and right around the corner from a 24 hour fitness. Gyms are everywhere here.
I was trying to squat in the power rack but some dude was in there doing upright rows, the. He curled, then he did more curls for 40 minutes. I flipped him off.
I feel really bad sometimes when I take up a power rack for more than 30 minutes.... But I'm always doing tons of squats or rack pulls or maybe heavy shrugs, and whenever I see someone waiting on me I always hurry up and finish. But it seems like every time I do that, the mofo is ALWAYS doing curls.
I mean, in reality, doesn't he have the team gym to go to town in?
I had a guy taking up ours the other day for an hour, but he was really working his ass off in there. Doing the things you're supposed to, lol. Plus he plays for the Eagles and is training for the season so he's basically the anti power rack douche.
