I'm a process engineer who has to "work with" people in reconciling discrepancies and nonconforming manufacturing processes and products. They range from shop employees to directors, VP's and owners. I'm reasonably competent in my field, which can be professionally threatening to some, and the physique and stoic facial expression can be intimidating. Fortunately I am reasonably well spoken and conduct myself professionally, politely and respectfully. It's sometimes a liability and a burden but I do my best to let people see my true character.

Hhhhhmmmmm your a little more involved with people lol I'm just the scary looking construction worker. But when I deal with building and business owners I am as respectful and well spoken aswell

When my college professor said I could make 30- 40g a year with a bachelors degree, I raised my hand and asked him why I was in college if I am currently making more without a degree.

I feel you. I'm the scary engineer at work and dad/husband at my daughter's gymnastics, birthday parties and school activities. You're still young it may wear on you by your 40's ;)

It's a joy being me :D

OK? What's that have to do with telling someone their career choice (and ultimately lifestyle) is not good because they don't make a certain amount of money?

I have not yet been to college but last year, as a Soldier, I made ~21,000 working 16 hour days (sometimes longer). Should I have never served my country because I could have made more continuing in construction?

I love it now haha... my wife thinks its funny because when we go out and someone starts trying to hit on her when ive walked away and come back they just kind of slowly stop talking as I introduce myself and end up going away quickly lol

Money does not make you happy. Shoot when I was running a bigger store making 100K+ I hated life. I was stressed, on edge and constantly pissed off, I run a smaller location now and am sooo much happier, If you have a wife that loves you and a job that you like and you can provide dude you are set! All the "rich guys" that I know are Douchebags that hate who they are marred to and their kids are spoiled A$$ holes! I would rather hang out with my "middle" class friends any day of the week!

You took everything I said out of context and for your information, I'm going into the Navy as soon as I'm done with college. What I was saying is that a college degree can and can't get you very far these days. Money means nothing to me, material things mean nothing to me. If I could, I would leave for the military in a heartbeat right this second.

And a comp is one time every few months not every single week. And three singles not multiple sets. My crew sweatshirt I squat in is barely thicker than a t shirt and I wear it because I normally wear a cutoff with an open back to stay cool the rest of my lifts.

I'm glad it feels good and if you like it you like it. I don't think we should be childish and call each other girls because we train if different clothes. Should we start pulling in low socks then so we can cut our shins open? I don't see the gain in harming your body during a lift or drawing blood intentionally. Not to mention how nasty most of the equipment is already without my blood on the bar.
