I can’t imagine disliking the image of a single person so much that you become so cold hearted as to condone the actions of a government that is purposefully destroying millions of American lives. There is something fundamentally wrong with these people. It’s like driving by a fatal multi car pile up on the freeway and saying “wow, that’s great!”

They see this as good news because the plan is working. It's forcing America off fossil fuel because they made it too expensive to use. On purpose. It's a painful transition they see as necessary.

Everything we see is per plan. They are not dumb. They are socialist/Marxists looking to transform America. They have said so numerous times. They see it working. And they are happy about the trajectory.

Pretty tough listen of a pharmacist talking to a parent whose child got myocarditis admitting that it is a possible side effect but they do not mention it because they don’t want to scare people away from the shot. Unreal. As far as I’ve seen no healthy kids die of Covid. The wife works at the school where hundreds of kids got Covid not a single one for worse than flu symptoms. Just insane.

Why don’t we focus on the here and now and getting back to a reasonable quality of life that we deserve today. We can’t focus on a future that is unpredictable at best. Each generation will have new problems to solve. Imaginary, ignored, real, or otherwise. They don’t want to stop all of the current hardships they created, so they focus efforts on all the abstract crap to give off the impression that they are being proactive.

Generally speaking, people are absolutely miserable these days. Crazy numbers of people are intentionally overdosing on drugs because life is very hopeless right now for people who aren’t wealthy. Not to mention the fostering of the fentanyl crisis by this administration. Then we have the retired folks on fixed incomes being destroyed. People who have worked their entire lives can’t afford to live.

It’s worse than criminal.
 
So yeah. I am a respiratory therapist at a hospital as many of you know. By the way, healthcare on this level is infinitely scary these days. For one, the turnover of nurses is so high that the field is rapidly losing any expertise. Also, there are a great deal of minorities filling these positions. Maybe purely because that is what our population is becoming regardless? Either way, they are not very swift by any measure and have no business being trusted with people’s lives.

We all know nursing homes have long been terrible (to an unthinkable level now), but the quality of care in hospitals is unthinkable as well. The only exception are intensive care units, as they only staff seasoned and competent nurses. Moral of the story is to be very cognizant of what is happening while you or a loved one may be admitted to a hospital.

On a less serious note, I was asked last night by a nurse to go evaluate an 85 year old lady who has been there for multiple days for non respiratory issues. Apparently, she has had a persistent cough for 2 days yet has tested COVID negative. However, the nurse thought it would be appropriate to call me at 0300 stating she was refusing cough medication. She wasn’t on oxygen, lungs were clear, and pt said the coughing wasn’t causing her any shortness of breath. Oddly, she didn’t even cough once while I was in the room.

I felt like saying, “You do realize respiratory therapists role in a hospital is primarily to save lives right?” The fact that I was even standing in the room was a complete waste of time. After pulling **** out of my ass that made it sound like she wasn’t an idiot, I ultimately ended up telling her that it’s really not worth obsessing over. If she doesn’t want cough suppressant….who cares!

So my town is going to start requiring those horrendously expensive trash bags starting in January. You know, those programs designed to force you into recycling everything in separate bins so that it all ends up in the same place regardless. So basically the town just wants to collect more money from us by mandating these trash bags.

I don’t have the mental stamina to “recycle” anything except for glass bottles as we do now. Nor are we going to make space for various bins somewhere and waste our time.

So, any tips for how to get around the town/city trash bag scam? I was thinking of having my own printed in bulk from somewhere online once the graphics come out.

Or do you just use hefty/glad bags and just throw them in a dark alley with all the rest of the trash and risk getting shot? We would have to get a paper shredder for all of our junk mail with that plan of course.

Any other thoughts?
 
I’m going to go into the town hall tomorrow and ask them if there is a way I can be sent a monthly bill for my oxygen consumption, and possibly even sunlight. I mean, I still have a few extra dollars kicking around, so I may as well give them that as well and just be done with it.

I mean I gave examples of bans around stuff that became fact being banned that have nothing to do with arguing with people.

Side note: CBS just had a post saying only 30% of US weapons reach their destination in Ukraine, but it came down. Now that could have been CBS taking it down, Twitter, lobby pressure, I don’t know. The point is the truth is not what is wanted on there.

Chomsky, love him or hate him, once said the easiest way to control a population is to control the range of discourse. Meaning you can fight viciously with each other in realms they find acceptable, but in areas that are not you do not even allow discussion.

They are probably looking for any evidence that might be incriminating of them. However, if Trump were to ever bring forward any evidence, we already know it would just be immediately tossed out regardless.

It’s just amazing it was okay to make the people think they were under Russian control based off false documents but to ask questions regarding a bizarre election the fbi puts vets on watchlists, parents at school meetings on watchlists, raids journalists homes, politics opposition homes, etc.

He is being investigated for it. And Twitter is a private platform which is absolutely allowed to take whatever stance it wants.

They didn't "make it up", Trump used their platform to espouse an overthrow. YOU might disagree, but what You and I think doesn't matter.

So I think it is plausible they are trying to frame him for something regarding the election, January 6th, or something entirely new.

Let’s just say Trump were to be convicted of something that is the result of what could arguably be a conspiracy (which of course it would). I sincerely believe that will be the point at which Trump supporters (and/or America) will have had enough of the outright bullying and obstruction of justice. Shyt would hit the fan in a BIG way and the protests would be like something we have never seen before.

Again, its not a private platform issue when Twitter is doing its government bidding. It becomes a clear violation of the US Constitution.

When government actors and non-government actors become intertwined that would justify the courts to issue restraints on the non-governmental actor from suppressing free speech in this case.

If this was purely the action of Twitter they are free to do so as they wish, but thats not the case here. But in this case, yes we do need the courts to restrain Twitter from censorship and protect people's first Amendment rights do to the intervention of the Department of Homeland security and other governmental actors.
