Ok I don’t know what stats you’re referring to but I can tell you that those numbers are straight up bullshit. Look at the projects in your area. Are they empty? If they projects around this country were empty, then the crime rate in those areas would be down. The fact is it isn’t. Violent crime is up!

The welfare mentality gets passed down generationally. Its a both a lifestyle and mental state. It took alot of effort for me to change everything I understood about life being brainwashed into the welfare state as a kid, and in the end my life changed for the better.

What does the projects being full have to do with the amount of time someone uses assistance? They could live in section 8 for a year and leave and another family moves in with no latency between.

Edit* I do believe housing assistance was one that was considered the outlier for getting out after two years (30-40%) but that doesn’t encompass welfare as a whole.

Violent crimes are up, not just in the projects lol - but let’s stay on topic.

You are selectively looking at only one of the papers, and extracting information to support your conclusion. Rarely does cherry picking selective date provide a conclusion within the larger context. Fail.

That study was only from 2009 thru 2012. It seems they didn't look at how long people were in the system before or after that. Or am I missing something in quick review??

19% stayed on assistance longer than seven years BUT the 70+ % did fall after the two years, again.

Hard to get good accurate long term welfare data. Because (A) the liberal media doesn't want to investigate it any more than Hunter Biden's laptop and gun crime in Chicago. If it destroys their narrative why would the media/govt expose the waste in programs that want to expand? And (B) why would the citizens and non-citizens gaming the system for free money and benefits admit their scam and lose the benefits they are happily collecting for perpetuity??

You onky need to look at how badly simple unemployment benefits are stacked with fraud ($11 billion in California alone) and it would be silly to think there is not similar abuse happening generationally throughout the welfare system (SNAP, housing, etc)

FWIW - how would you categorize "looting" in the welfare scheme. Free stuff that someone else is paying for... added to the pile of other free stuff the looters are already getting. And it didn't just happen once... also generational abuse of the system? Untaxed income?

How about the financial benefits of reverse discrimination... such as in college scholarships and acceptance rates based on ethnicity and economic status? Another expensive benefit that is untaxed revenue paid for by others and not often tallied among welfare freebies....
