I guess if I was a tyrannical government hell bent on spending others peoples money in order to keep the populace on the government tit and keep them compliant I would throw some imaginary numbers up on the internet to make it seem like us contributors are giving away our money for a good cause. But I see the abuse on a daily basis and it makes me sick to my stomach. Propping up people so they can stock up on soft drinks and candy bars is NOT how I want to spend MY money.

I can get behind a hand up every now and then if they can prove they need it and the system is designed to avoid abuse. For instance EBT should only be as to purchase wholesome and healthy food only. Nothing else. I can get behind that. When I walk up to a gas station and there is a sign that says EBT accepted I get nauseous.

Don’t get me started on the SSS abuse either ant the Ponzi scheme we call the social security system. It’s a fucking joke. If I started drawing it now I would never ever get back what I put in and I think that right there is criminal. I could have invested the money they took for Social Security and made 25x more than what I could ever dream of drawing from their piece of **** system.

We definitely need some serious welfare reform, but we certainly won’t under this administration and most likely never will. I don’t know how it ever became so easy for people to play the system and stay on it indefinitely. It should be something very difficult to obtain and only sustainable for people that endure extreme circumstances or chronic disabilities that legit prohibit them from being even somewhat self sufficient.

It really gets me going when people are deemed incapable of holding a job, yet they proceed to get pregnant and have kids- which is the ultimate responsibility. And then we get to support the entire happy family. Ridiculous!

My GF has a close friend who has been fully supported by the government for close to 20 years on grounds of being too depressed to hold a job. Her situation actually did undergo somewhat of an investigation ~10 years ago so she decided to check herself into a mental hospital in efforts to prove that she still couldn’t hold a job. It worked, and she then proceeded to have a child.

The ultimate kicker is that this person is more than capable of holding a job and is less depressed than myself. I don’t want to go to work either (particularly now) - but I stil get my ass out of bed in the morning and always have.

There isn’t an American alive that doesn’t have multiple stories of welfare abuse. It’s rampant and disgusting. I will admit my heart is hardened when it comes to this due to the amount of abuse I have actually seen. I would estimate 90% abuse and I am being generous.

I mean, we've had very low cases and casualties because we stayed closed.

And like I edited in, you can travel overseas because of the weighting a US passport holds. Without govt backing, your passport would be worthless.

You should get a conservative roulette wheel of "what will I be angry about today" to open up options. It helps to keep people guessing what mental thing will come out of their mouths that day. I know you don't like either side but it gives more baseless material to use.

Dude I am far from angry. I have great joy in my life. I actually enjoy beating up on pedo joe. He is like a punching bag to me and this forum is my outlet to take it out. I mean look at his face, when you look at it you don’t get the urge to just punch him in the mouth?

This issue is not about Trump. It's about the rule of law that ends up effecting everyone, whether Left or Right. Nobody wins when there is no rule law, nobody. Everyone in Germany ended up suffering. Everyone in Russia ended up suffering. Everyone ends up suffering when there is no justice.

I sure wish someone would step up and rectify the legal votes. No one cares that their team absolutely cheated, because no one is doing anything about it. At a minimum I want to see REAL audits in the swing states with signatures and addresses and legal right to vote.. (no dead people, no illegals, no out of staters ect.) But that's too much to ask for. Cause no one wants to see the proof. Oh and I'm sure no one still debating the steal have watched the proof of receipts.

People didn’t vote for Biden because they loved him, they voted for him because he’s not Trump. It’s not that they were the “dream team,” it’s that they were literally anyone except Trump. You could have put “non-Trump candidate to be named later” and they probably still would have won. Because people didn’t want Biden, they wanted anyone except Trump...

This might be debatable. It's not like voters left Trump in droves. He got even more votes in 2020 than in 2016.

In the end even more votes turned up for Biden. New votes. An unbelievable 120yr record in voter turnout. Mostly by mail. Many without any proof of identity.
Might be legit, might be ballot stuffing. I'd like to see a thorough independent audit before I ever believe it was an honest/fair win.

Yes. Lots of people who couldn’t be bothered to vote, thinking that all the candidates before had all sucked fairly equally, or it didn’t matter, were convinced that anyone would be much better than Trump, so came out to vote for Biden. For example of something similar, look that the third-party support in close states. It dropped off significantly in terms of % from 2016 to 2020. It is entirely possible and believable that people disliked Trump so much that they voted Biden instead of third party, or finally register to vote against Trump more than for Biden. With the increased push for Mail-in voting, people didn’t even have to leave their house to do it, so the opportunity cost was very low. And I am talking about people who legally were able to vote, but couldn’t be bothered to until now, for whatever reason.
