Well, these very people want me to call out injustices so Ill go ahead and call out their injustices as I see it.Being against racism and wanted cops to be held accountable for killing people isn't far-left thinking. And you can spin this however you want, but that statue was out in public. It can be moved inside with the rest of the museum's exhibits where the context can be explained. It's not educating anybody where it currently is.
The statue where it currently is actually is educating the entire nation right now as before today I never even knew its existence. Also, keeping it out there will expose it to millions of people who pass by but never walk into the museum. Its a reminder of the times as to why it was put there and makes people think, some at least.
And truthfully I do not see the statue as a symbol of white power over natives and blacks. I ran into this,
“The two figures at [Roosevelt’s] side are guides symbolizing the continents of Africa and America, and if you choose may stand for Roosevelt’s friendliness to all races.” —Sculptor James Earle Fraser, 1940
So racist lefties can bite by arse.
Teddy did alot of good things and bad things, people need to stop blaming some dead power hungry geezer from a hundred years ago for their shortcoming today.
