1. I do actually agree with you that we dropped the ball a little bit on the recommendations for mask wearing. As we know now, it may not protect the wearer but it does protect others from the wearer. We should’ve known this already and said such. I agree.

2. Thank you for showing the ability to at least consider the fact Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing all the time and, even worse, he may now be a member of the swamp that he promised to drain. If what you say is true about the money that was meant to go to small businesses, I am glad you feel the way you do. That aint right, and every american who isnt a millionaire should know so.

I'm just going put this out there: In Austrlia, on Feb27, our federal government activated a state of emergency and isolation rules were slowly implemented from there, starting with travel restrictions then shutdown of non-essential business within the following 2 weeks. On our TVs we were watching as your government was still denying the impact that COVID would have on your medical system, and as a nation we were somewhat divided over how to react. Today, there is very little of that division, and even many small businesses who have had to shut their doors are behind the isolation strategy.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure our government has also injected more money (per capita) into our economy and spent it far more wisely (refusing to bail out large companies, and the "Jobkeeper" payment plan whereby employers can claim $1500 per fortnight to pay employees rather than firing them). The other great administrative difference is, state and federal governments have acted in unison, and there has been no opposition to welfare bills so that legislation has been quickly enacted and inter-state travel bans coordinated. Of course, we are also an island nation so controlling our borders is much easier.

I don't think politicians in this country can get away from finger pointing and playing blame game long enough to make policies that are in best interest of our country.

I think the truth is that there wasnt anybody on the planet that could have stopped this. Perhaps things could have been delayed and a little more prep but everything went down so fast and almost everybody was caught off guard and this was a situation that was absolutely impossible to avoid spreading globally.

King Cumho was going off today on giving 1st responders and all front line workers "Hazard Pay" which will give a 50% increase in pay. You know Im not a minimum wage kinda guy, but its hard to complain about this one if they pull it off given the circumstances.

Nice about first responders... too bad here in Floriduh, they took 8 hours a week from my wife which she has to use from her 'bank pay' or something, and do the same amount of work or more. This is a WTF moment.

Edit: Forgot to mention, she's the one at the Lab administering / and following up with patients about Covid-19, as well as her other duties. Not only that but the tests she says are coming up with odd results. They think they are bunk.

Additional, after hours, or even during her off days, when a patient calls the lab.. it forwards the voicemail to her personal phone. I'm all kinds of happy about her having to call a patient when she's not on the clock. I have to leave the room, or she does. HIPPA.

So, the anti-body test is 50 percent accurate. It sucks. People are calling all fracking day thinking they can get their blood tested, thinking they had it already... so nobody will do that. It's a waste of their time.

They are getting pneumonia; flu etc results. It's unnerving.
