To be honest, Biden kind of deserved it because one or two times misspeaking is expected, but he needs to drop out. It's like two old guys in a nursing home yelling at each other.

The Hillary/Epstein one is troubling though. People can make jokes all day long about it, but Trump tweeting that crap is seriously dangerous. Also, Trump supporters a few months ago in regard to Trump/Russia allegations, "there's no proof so he must not have done it." Trump supporters now "Hillary did this!!!"

Australia is surrounded by water and fish and hardly anybody lives there. There is no comparison on governing Australia and the USA which has 300 million people with borders that link with 3rd world countries. Also, this country is at war with foreign terrorists, and you want us to disarm??? RRROOFFLLLLL!

You only end up with other problems in Australia such as much higher incidences of rape and women unable to defend themselves against stronger men.

Also, I hope this never happens but if your government turns on the people or is invaded by another nation the people are as powerful as ants.

The real problem in the USA is that gun laws already severely affect good citizens from bearing arms and people are left defenseless. Also, the social justice warrior lobby has successfully deteriorated the gun culture here.

If only people vote for a government that grants the people all their powers and protection in the Bill of Rights we would only have a fraction of the problems we face today. Most of these mass shootings are the effects of harsh gun control laws, SSDI problems, foreign enemies due to all the unjust wars and invasions, war on drugs (US government imports it here) and a government who will use any guerilla tactic methods domestically to accomplish a bigger agenda even if it takes out 3,000 people in a single day.

You guys don't need guns to fight terrorists. You have a military!

As for arming yourselves against the government, there is nothing you can do to defend yourselves against a modern military machine. This 19th century belief is a delusion which you feed to avoid the simple truth that you are an aggressive culture obsessed with war.

what we are is a aggressive culture obsessed with violence. most people I know who carry, carry for self protection. most peopIe i know have a firearm of some kind in case of break-in, most criminals are armed.

those statistics are appalling. out of every 1,000 suspected rape perpetrators referred to prosecutors:
370 will have at least 1 prior felony, including 100 who have 5 or more
520 will be released-either from posting bail or for other reasons while awaiting trial
70 of the released perpetrators will be arrested for committing another crime before their case is decided.

a majority of released prisoners are rearrested for a new crime within 3 years!!!

It’s the other way around....the government sends our military to destroy sovereign countries and then people want to come over here and kill us. Military ain’t stopping anything, NORAD was called to a halt the morning before 9/11 happened by Dick Cheney and other sects of the military did operation Pentagon. FBI and other sects protected the terrorists.

If there are 150 million of us well armed and trained we will destroy them if needed. Fortunately I don’t see that happening and I’m more optimistic than that we can rid is these tyrant Republicrats and Demicans peacefully in my lifetime

my wife and daughter both carry, and when my granddaughters are old enough I hope they will also. my sister also carries.

if you look at stats gun permits for women are way up, hopefully this will cause rapes to go down!!!

I would hope they would be on our side, but the answers will be hypothetical since we cannot determine the state of the country or world in the future.

I just learn from global history and prefer to have well educated common sense preparedness. A well trained and armed public is a big win for both domestic civilian protection and international crisis.

Both parties are agaisnt citizens arming themselves for self protection, one maybe slightly more than the other and both provide police officers with less freedoms and protections for them as individuals under the US Constitution by the minute.

Most aren't flat out against citizens arming themselves they want what they feel are reasonable restrictions on things like magazine size and improved background checks. Most also don't want to abolish the police (some do) but anyway, I don't think there's a big cross-section of those two fringes.

Its short term thinking, you may trust your current regime to further regulate your right to bear arms but its also one step closer for the next whether its a couple years or several decades to take it too far.

I know plenty of backwoods Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Alabama folks who hate the police as much, if not more than lifelong, inner city gang members. They also both have about the same amount of illegal firearms stocked up.

As far as gun laws go in cities, they're useless if the surrounding areas have extremely relaxed laws. You can get from Indiana to downtown Chicago in about a half hour. The east and south sides are even closer. You can get there from Wisconsin in about an hour or two depending on traffic.

Correlation =/= causation

It's a chicken or the egg thing, I could argue that those areas had the gun violence problems and the legislation is/was an attempt to fix that.

Some democrats probably would like there to be no guns, some democrats are extremely pro-gun and enjoy shooting, some democrats are for reasonable restrictions and safe-guards. Some democrats want the police to be accountable for their actions and to stop shooting unarmed and innocent people. Some republicans are racist and baby rapers. Should we use common sense and know that isn't the majority or do dyu wanna link me with where it says they're not?
