Donald Trump running for president

This is interesting:

Basically, it says that Trump's "trickle down" approach still won't work, as evidenced by the past. It would result in another recession around the year 2018. It would be disastrous for the U.S. economy, as well as individual incomes.

Interesting. Here's an interesting tax calculator for various candidates (I guess it was made before it was just Trump vs Hillary). I just kept the default settings ($35,000/year), and it said that income tax under Trump would be a little over $5k lower (and Clinton's plan would keep it the same), but Trump's plan would add $11.2 trillion to the national debt by 2026, while Clinton's plan would reduce it by $498 billion in the same time. If I bump the income up to $70,000 (still not crazy), you'd save $5,600 under Trump, and status quo under Hillary. Even if we triple the $35,000 it started at (so we're up to $105,000 now), it looks like it still says the same under Clinton, and saving $8,400 under Trump. Pretty interesting stuff.

To a a little snag to that calculator, Trump proposes eliminating the "Head of Household" status under his current plan. He's had three different iterations of his tax plan so far.

And yes, all the analyses I've seen project a huge increase to the national debt as a result.

What I found most interesting is that taxes for the middle class (even up to a bit over $100k, which was the highest I tried), didn't go up under Clinton. So while it'd be nice to save some money, I also like the idea of cutting into the debt without having to pay MORE in taxes.

I agree. Also, Trump's brackets have changed a bit from that calculator:

Tax rates

The Trump Plan will collapse the current seven tax brackets to three brackets. The rates and breakpoints are as shown below. The tax brackets are similar to those in the House GOP tax blueprint.

Brackets & Rates for Married-Joint filers:
Less than $75,000: 12%
More than $75,000 but less than $225,000: 25%
More than $225,000: 33%
*Brackets for single filers are ½ of these amounts

Here's the page with the tax plan: Invalid Link Removed

I think Hillary's plan taxes the wealthy more than Trump.

I guess Hillary didn't put the tax brackets on the website, as I think she is keeping the existing ones?

Yikes. I pay about 33% and my income is only about 110K. But then again, I live in NYC, and they tax us to feed the rats here. It sure doesn't go into infrastructure.

So, under Trump's plan you would probably go down to 25%. That's assuming you're single, I've never seen you mention a wife.

Both their tax policies suck. I think what Dump has layed out is way way better than the current status quo, but Id be shocked if it happened. Completely shocked. Thats not saying that he cant pass it though Congress, thats me saying Id be shocked if he followed up heavily on that.

I think its morally wrong to tax productive behavior too, just because you make it better shouldnt mean you should be punished more for it. Thats not fair, its injustice.

As I've said before, I don't mind paying more taxes if it goes towards things like education and infrastructure. My problem is the amount of military and war funding that happens.

Thing is Trump, and probably Hillary as well, wants to increase military spending. He says the military is "depleted". I wonder why?

If I made more money and I saw that money going to the betterment of society I dont think Id be complaining as much and compromise with someone like you about.

Totally can agree on the war issue with you. Our taxes would all be significantly lower too I think.

I dont think our military is depleted, just not managed as well as it could if I was in charge :)

Dude, ya totally need to move to Canada then LOL.. Their taxes actually do go into the betterment of society. Heck, even any European country.

So the Fire Marshall in Melbourne, FL turns away thousands of Trump supporters at his rally due to space limitations. He had over 10,000 get in, and a conservative estimate of 8,000 they couldn't let in. That's nearly as many people as Hilary had show up at all of her events since Aug. 1st.

Even though Hilary has held far fewer events, average attendance of each is miniscule in comparison.

No president will not increase spending or shrink government, they most make it seem so. They both definitely will and justify it somehow. Domestically they will slowly centralize the market too. There is no use to voting if it even matters.

I'd have to seriously put my Chinese language learning to the side and take up Canadian! They have Rosetta Stone for that?

You just need to face the facts that Trump sucks at one on one debating. Jeez.

Obviously Hillary had to cheat. Right. She hasn't had tons of experience at debating or anything.

What exactly are you trying to imply or prove here?

Sounds kinda desperate IMO to come up with all these theories. I thought you said Trump "killed it" and won "hands down". Changing your tune?

And more proof Clinton cheated

Not sure who that guy is, but I can imagine that he is one of her aids and he would only be picking up her papers, right?

Is it illegal to have notes at the debate? I wouldnt see what the big deal would be for that.

Now, earpieces is another thing with direct help on what to say, but I think this is common practice with these people. Anyone could be wearing a micro earpiece nobody would know.

"The little cleaner man" ROFFFLLLLL!!!!

Not changing my tune at all. I still say Trump killed it.

I just think it's crazy how everyday more and more comes out against the Clintons and everyone brushes it off as conspiracy theory or desperation. She is corrupt and time and time again it's proven. I just find it sad that people will still vote for her when the evidence against her is so blatantly obvious.

Dude, that stuff you posted is not proven.

I noticed you didn't chime in on the policy stuff.

I try to play catchup in here when I can. Just started a new job so not much time to get on here and lately you guys are posting multiple pages a day. I'm sure I've missed a lot

Who remembers when Senators Clinton and Obama both voted to increase DHS spending to build an additional 700 miles of double row border fence? Clinton said it was necessary to stem the tide of illegals crossing our border. Since obama got elected, they knew he would control the agencies that deal with illegals and devised plans to get them on the voter rolls.

While true she voted for that, it's much different than a wall of the magnitude of Trump's. All 700 miles of "double row" fencing was never actually built. I'm pretty sure they aren't putting illegals on the voting rolls.

Anyway, if the point here is a flip flop on policy, you might want to examine Trump's record for a record number of lies. I think your hatred of Hillary has blinded you to simple fact checking. I'm honestly not being a jerk here, but the stuff you post is mostly from right wing Tea Party sites. I at least attempt to find stuff that isn't from blatantly liberal sites.

So why did this non citizen vote in 3 elections then?

I'm pretty sure they aren't putting illegals on the voting rolls.

This is the largest conservative conspiracy theory. They are grasping at straws as to why their party has been failing the past couple elections, so they'll make anything up to justify it other than maybe their leaders are to blame.

Voter registration happens at the state level, not the federal. Are you saying Hillary and Obama control state laws?

No I'm saying there are plenty of people in state politics that will toe the party line and do what's necessary to further their agenda. State's pass laws saying you have to have a photo ID to prove who you are, and people say it's racist. This guy has a valid ID, and isn't a citizen, yet they still can't stop the voter fraud.

How widespread do you think it really is, though? Enough to swing an election?

There are many factors at the federal level that dictate or influence what a state can or can't do in regards to making their own voter registration requirements. And many agenda driven people can influence those decisions.

Which is why places like San Francisco and other sanctuary cities are allowing illegals to get driver's licenses which then leads to them getting registered to vote under the Motor Voter Law. Then the state says, "we aren't allowed to check or verify a person's citizenship" and said illegals are now on the voter rolls. The above article I posted about the green card murderer, the Secretary of State said she has no idea how many registered voters they have on the rolls that aren't legally allowed to vote. And they don't care about it, or they would work to make the verification of citizenship a requirement to vote, which is precribed in that pesky Constitution.

That what it has to do with illegals getting in the voter rolls.
