He was interruptive, gulping down water, etc. He struck me as very nervous.

One of my exes graduated from the same school and she's a typical Jersey shore bimbo, ****ty accent and all. She's not bright at all, super ditzy, just had money and put in the work. I'll keep saying, most people can graduate from university if they put in hard work.

This is a pointless argument at this point. Nothing is going to convince you; all I am saying is that Trump likely has at least a slightly above average IQ, and that is the general consensus, even among people that mock and ridicule the man. He has a degree from an Ivy League School, makes a ton of money, and is possibly going to be the next President of the United States; I'm sure none of those things suggest that maybe he isn't quite the simpleton you insist he is. The majority of people who meet even one of those three criteria likely have at least a somewhat above average IQ. Do you even know what an average IQ is? It's not all that impressive to have an above average IQ. Also, your n=1 anecdote is pretty useless in the scheme of things, as the majority of people who graduate from an Ivy League school do in fact have above average IQ. If you want random anecdotes, I know people who dropped out of much less prestigious schools because they couldn't cut it, despite putting in work. Yeah, maybe with the best tutors money could buy they may have done better, but this is clearly a personal issue to you at this point, and nothing short of you personally administering him an IQ test will convince you otherwise.

You dismiss everything he's achieved because you claim someone you know did the same thing and they're not smart, but his accomplishments and resume (especially when viewed as a whole) seem to point to an above average IQ. Hell, even people ITT who clearly don't like the man or his policies seem to agree on this.

I dismissed it because he was born into money, and all he does is make a business out of shady business practices. It's a formula he follows. As muscleupcrohn pointed out, there are far more important things to focus on in this election. For instance, Trump saying how he will be focusing on infrastructure and jobs with no clear plan on how to pay for it, etc. I really want to know how he will cut taxes and pay for his proposals, but he never mentions how.

You can try to dismiss the first two as solely the result of his wealthy upbringing/background (although I can point you towards examples of people from very wealthy background who neither graduated from Ivy League schools nor made billions of dollars, since you're so fond of random n=1 anecdotes). He's also undoubtedly very successful at self-promotion and preying on the insecurities and ignorance of many Americans during this election (which is important for any politician), which suggests some level of critical thinking ability. If it makes you feel any better, Clinton also has an above average IQ, and probably higher than Trump's.

There's a plethora of character defects to criticize both candidates for, forget actually discussing policy, so simply saying that he is "an idiot," even when the evidence seems to suggest otherwise, doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I agree that I'm wasting my time on it, but isn't pretty much everything that's being discussed here a waste of time? Every time someone tries to have legitimate discussion, someone starts trolling and intentionally getting people riled up to the point where legitimate political discussion/debate is impossible.
