Is it really bad to say "black person?" What if you call someone "African American" and they aren't even from Africa? Or what if you call someone "white" but they're actually from South Africa, making them African American? All this PC stuff is getting crazy.

Whenever I hear someone say "I ain't one of them "PC" libtard kinda people, I tell it like it is!" I immediately know two things, the person has either just said something that is ignorant or bigoted or even racist or they're about to say something that is ignorant or bigoted or even racist. I really don't care what anyone did in the 70's, It was the 70's for petes sake....I am a totally different person now than I was then, and trump was right out of college and trying to impress his father who he looked up to....geez, there are many of us who were young in the 70's that did things we regret today...including the Clintons....you are to young to know about the 70's but those were some crazy days, much more then even today!!!

talk to your folks about the things they did in the 60's and 70's, I bet they have stories too-although they might not be willing to share all of them with you, lol.

I highly recommend Asimov's guide to the old testament if you are looking for scientific explanations, Asimov was a brilliant man.

PC is out of control. But anti-PC isn't the answer either. Drives me nuts that everything has to swing so far to either end.

Also pissing me off that support for police officers is becoming a Left/Right issue. Wtf. At least in the media's portrayal of it anyways. This country is a joke. And we're the punchline.

support for the police has been a left/right issue since the 60's...that is where the term 'pigs' for cops originated, by the left wing radical 'hippie' movement-who also supported the black panthers and the radical black extremists.....lol, history repeats itself!!!

as a former leftist hippie in my youth, I have learned that liberalism is destructive...hopefully after 4 years of Hillary it is a lesson you will learn also...

just remember, this is a slippery slope. I used to run and Foreclosure and Bankruptcy department for 2 large banks in NY. We were sued frequently for a variety of issues. Specifically, there was an over 75 year old woman who applied for a 30 year mortgage who had horrible credit. Her application was rejected. We were sued for age discrimination.

don't forget that technology was far less advanced in the 70's than it is today...welfare fraud was rampant and background checks were very often not accurate...it was much easier to run scams back in the 70's....trumps argument was that he didn't rent to welfare recipients no matter what color---I am not defending trump, discrimination is discrimination, but you have to put things in perspective, not renting to minorities or welfare recipients was widely practiced....the government used the trump case as a test case for legislation to make it harder for all management companies to practice discrimination, not just the trump company.

the business practices of the 70's were much different than today, it is wrong to single out trump for what was business as usual for many companys in those days!!!

I'll check it out, thanks. Recently I've been doing some research on the Old and New Testaments, with a focus on how mistranslations completely change the meaning. At least a few things are much clearer and make more sense when some translation mistakes are accounted for IMO.

if I could read Hebrew I would love to read the untranslated Hebrew torah.

I agree, many things seem to get lost or distorted in translation.

Same here. That's one issue I have with many religious people, they often take their translation of the religious text as the absolute, pure, unedited or adulterated word of God, not realizing that even a few mistranslations over thousands of years and many languages can really change the meaning of a passage. But then again, the same can be said for society as a whole; no one wants to do their own research or actually analyze anything when it's easier to just assume whatever you read the first time is always absolutely correct.

absolutely...even if you believe that the bible is GOD'S word you have to realize that you are not reading the original text and many additions/omissions have been made throughout the years...I think billy graham said it best when he said you need to pray for understanding when reading the bible-an agnostic or non-believer will see the bible thru a much different view than a believer.

If anyone thinks that the book of Genesis is anything but a story put together with no real evidence of anything has to question their own critical thinking skills. The story of creation, garden of eden and the ark are ludicrous at best. The Exodus is not far behind in lacking any quantifiable evidence. Zero account made by the civilization that recorded everything.

Not to mention the Gospels, of which the first one wasn't even written until 40 years after the death of Jesus (assuming he existed).

I definitely don't take those to be true or facts, haha. I'd consider spirituality and a relationship with God to be more important and valuable than "organized religion," that so many people practice, where weekly attendance and memorization ate the primary focus. I find the Old and New Testaments to be tools to help understand, not the be-all-end-all.

I still really wonder if Trump actually wants to win. It seems like he's doing everything he can to take the focus off Hillary's problems by saying/doing something stupid. He'd probably be ahead if he knew how to keep his mouth shut these past few months, or just focused on talking about Clinton's problems.

it is strange that the same people who want us to be accepting of lifestyles many of us find weird and odd go out of their way to attack people who believe in GOD...

if they don't believe that is fine, so be it...but enough of the attacks already, geez-walk what you talk!!! I find it to be personal when they attack my belief system!!!

ive said it before that our country has become a place where it is openly accepted to discriminate against the heterosexual male Christian and his morals and values.

Everyone else can make up their own **** but as soon as a heterosexual male Christian starts expressing his biblical views on matters he is usually berated.
 
In a Milwaukee update, CNN reports the sister of thug killed by cop after running and pointing an stolen gun at the cops calls for peace and calm. Problem is they only aired 1 sentence of her tirade calling for the black power protestors to go burn down the white suburbs, not their own neighborhood.
