every 4 years the office of president is up for grabs. the American people have primary elections to determine who the candidate for each of the 2 parties will be. once the 2 candidates for each party are voted on then there is a general election in which the American people casts votes for their candidate. after the election either the sitting president continues for 4 more years[with a limit of 2 terms[8years]...if a new president is elected there is a peaceful turnover of the office of president and a new president steps in for 4 years and then the process is repeated.

this is how the American system has worked [to the best of my knowledge] since after George Washington was nominated to be the 1st president.

I have not always agreed with the American people's choices for candidates or who the voters have elected, but none the less I have accepted them as the voters choice to be president.

If there is one thing that really bothers me about Trump supporters is something that I experienced back in 08 when Obama went to take power.
