Donald Trump running for president

Global warming is a hoax. Simple as that. They say our summer this year will be out of control and they blame global warming but if you know what El Niño is & it's cyclical rotation then of course you'd know that this year will be peak year. Then Obama visits Alaska in peak of summer in Alaska and video tapes the ice caps melting saying its global warming lmao... Cmon people.

Well yeah, I can see that. There are many variables to climate change, volcanic activity is one....I still think the primary factor by far is the sun and its solar activities, but liberals (not you) call me a tin foiled conspiracy theorist for presenting this science.

Why did median temps go down when all the scientists said they would continue to rise with catastrophic results? In the last 4 decades no less. Scientists said the coastal cities would be under water. They aren't and won't be.
 
So which one of you guys has ever actually submitted a federal grant to do research, or actually conducted scientific research?
 
I just see all this speculation about how the process is done, just wondering if anyone has actual practical experience to draw upon.

Oh so it slowed down for a few years? Big deal. Again we are talking about what is happening over a few decades what took place over thousands of years in the past. No comparison. Not even an argument.

No, but thats what it all is, just speculation because 43% of climate scientists in a published survey of 1800+ are only at best 95% sure man made is the case, and 57% say its for other reasons.

Same here ;). I don't do climate research, but I am a social scientist who has been carrying out federally funded research in a hospital setting for almost five years.

But I mean really, thats not fair this is just a discussion thread I mean Im not going to whip out my wind sensors, data loggers, thermo-hygrometers, Hygrothermograph and other things, its just too much damn work and Im still cleaning up after Christmas.

Again you can't answer the question on why haven't any of the predictions come true, even after they've changed their predictions.

I will not get involved in debating the REALITY of climate change but I will comment and say that one CAN BE a skeptic about the alarmist that have taken advantage over the reality and have politicized it for political and finicial interest. We really don't fully understand what is going on and there are lots of valid questions one can ask over this. This primary stems to the nature of this field of study and the inherent limitations that come with it. So in this regard I do think science advocates dp have a tendency to lump climate change skeptics in with climate change denials, but there is a VERY VERY thin line between the two and the skeptics often do cross into the denial side when trying to argue their case, but there does exist a legitimate skeptic case that can be made, especially in the climate of alarmist "journalism".

The thing is both sides of the debate are providing proof and science....people are going to make their own decisions of course.

My real decision is based off the science presented and how scientists feel about the science which is that its far too inconclusive to pinpoint climate change as man made. The real problem to me are the solutions (I wont list them all now) which is very worrisome considering how inconclusive the science is (as a majority of scientists would agree.) We can easily innovate out of co2 emissions too regardless but thats not really a part of the solution.

Honestly, I don't think it is "man-made" either. However, it is naive in my opinion to deny the impact of human endeavors on the planet and the exacerbation of climate change that is occurring as a result.

I really wanna change the world and clean up the environment. There is too much politics, bureaucracy and special interests getting in the way of achieving this. Im a big fan so far with what Tesla (the company) is doing. The owner of the Weather Channel who is a big skeptic himself says we can easily, and only need to innovate out of this and we will be carbon free regardless by 2050 at the fraction of the cost without the policies that have been presented....but that was a long interview and not going to detail that here.

Finally got to sit in one when I was in Beijing a few months ago....It was awesome and my wife wants one bad too.

They have alot of Chinese made smaller electronic cars on the market in China, its starting to get trendy especially now that the government admits the climate is toxic to humans there.

None of the "experts" have an answer either. Which is the problem, when they are using the science to make assumptions and regulations that are hurting large sectors of our economy and livlihood.

That would be a very very long time from now if climate change, man made or natural occurs. There will be nothing man can do to stop it outside of weather modification science. There is no reason with this age of technology that we cant and will be protected from that 50-100 years from now.

Its an interesting topic on how humans can ward off change.
