I make six figures, I don't need anything for free. But I wouldn't vote for anyone in the current GOP. It's a washout for them. No good candidates whatsoever. And I don't trust Hilary at all.

Like I said, I don't think Sanders is POTUS material, but he's the least of all evils this time around.

And most of the people who I drive by who have Sanders stickers on their car look to be the same. Total Right-Wing hype that all Sanders supporters are teenagers who live in their parent's basement.

Yes to all of the above. Not looking for free handouts here either. I just want to make life better for those who weren't "born on third base and think they hit a home run" ;)

I honestly don't mind paying more taxes if it will help others.

And I'm an atheist too! ;)

Nobody is stopping you from helping people, but people forcing others to help people of their choice is just immoral and criminal.
 
The GOP is going to make sure that America's infrastructure crumbles, to benefit themselves and their friends, while they can keep affording their private jets.

The US has one of the worst infrastructures of the developed world. It's pretty sad & shameful for such a 'great' nation who is supposed to be a world leader. The American Dream, and the 'great' America, is all smoke and mirrors. One big circus act.

Boom, big time. Sold to you from the day you are born. But such is the case of patriotism in all countries. Shabby ass 3rd world countries flaunt their flag like it's great. Just a marketing tool of control. Don't nobody want to fight for an army that's not the greatest damn it.
 
IMHO, the social part of any government is a problem.
People paying taxes to let the state choose how to spend money on others who don't work -or holding their hands open to receive free stuff, WTH?
Decent people shouldn't need "help" -nor accept it for nothing in return.
Personally, I would rather die then receiving something for free and when I help, I first offer a job, like mowing my lawn. This way you can quickly separate a parasite from a needy person.
Spending taxes on creating jobs, that should fix it, instead of paying welfare.

Yep, I admit it, I'm an Objectivist.Not the most loved philosophy I guess.

And you likely haven't had to ask for help because of your situation, and the status that you were born into. See how it feels to be judged?

I was laid off for almost two years fresh out of college with a kid and a wife. I had to use food stamps for a bit and receive unemployment. Guess that makes me a "parasite" and "indecent". Meanwhile, the "welfare" I was living off of helped me to find a job to relocate to obtain said job. In the meantime, my family didn't starve.

So horrible, that safety net.

That's a huge part of it. But not a part that gets any attention. It's only the handouts part that anyone can focus on. When it's just a portion. Believe me I'm not for just giving away money, and not to people who don't deserve it. But our broken system has caused this divide. So now we need a system to fix it. Equality is the single best thing the human race can achieve. While there will never be an equal playing field of social classes, nor do I want it that far, leveling it a bit answers so many of our society's burdens.

And those handouts help so many that do deserve it, you can't throw a blanket over all people receiving one. Vets, elderly, etc. But it's very much a race thing. The poster faces for handouts are always black or hispanic poor people. On the news, on the social media memes. Throw a big flyer up of everyone's grandma or a bunch of wounded vets who rely on our help saying "fuk you guys and your handouts" and the propaganda doesn't go as far.

Wow,wow,wow....hold the horses here. I lived under a bridge for some time of my life, was in jail for political reasons in communist Germany and got never - ever anything for free, besides my education.
When you got laid off, that is sad and not your fold, I don't judge you. If we had met then and you would beg for change, I wouldn't give you the money, but would have offered a job, so you don't loose your face, got it?

What infrastructure are you referring to? We can look at hundreds of examples of big government spending on infrastructure that does NOTHING. Literally roads built going nowhere.


We need term limits for all politicians and we need informed voters. We have the lowest voter turnout and it's pathetic.

Lastly, our economic freedom has a strong correlation between our political freedom and our standing in the world. The main problem is BIG government-plain and simple.

Bernie supports Obamacare which expanded the power of the insurance corporations to put us all under increased "mercy" of their control. If we dont obliged we are penalized. If we are poor we are punished. Meanwhile due to budget cuts our vets are left dying in hospital basements for treatable illness and Obamacare did nothing to help them.

Government can go stick their corporate policy up their bunghole and corporate 1%er Bernie's too.

No, because its common sense. Why would I let a government that lets our vets die in hospital basements and closets to save money gain control over my health care? Why should I support government stealing my money and choosing my doctor for me? This is just crazy.

This single payer system will be a total catastrophic mess when the money is in a fiscal crisis....oh wait, we are 20 trillion in debt, and when we should be cutting out all these failed broke social programs, the solution is Bernie who wants even more.

I was deployed overseas during Bush and Obama. Any vet you talk to will tell you Bush handled things a lot better, or I should say had better people in place that made decisions. Im not a huge fan of anyone running, but I do know Bernie's ideas will great hurt the country just like they have every other country thats tried socialism. What he wants to do flat won't work on paper or in the real world.

I went to the IKEA in Beijing China a few months ago, they actually sell Swedish wines and beers there, their grocery section was loaded with it. I was very surprised.

What happened to the trillion dollar stimulus plan the dems passed in order to fund shovel ready jobs to update infrastructure? That's right, they just gave it back to donors in "green energy" companies that went bankrupt within 2 years.

For all you guys making cash hand over fist wanting to help rebuild our country, how would you like having your taxes go up another 10-20% to pay for it? Remember six figure income puts into the bottom of the evil rich territory that handout Bernie wants to soak.

I honestly and admittedly don't know much about American politics or what's happened here with Health care. I do support a model similar to Canada's though. Canada is kind of a hybrid of Europe and the US. I know right wing American's aren't prepared to go as far as Europe does socially, but if we are boosting social programs here, especially health care, it should be done properly.

Also, I don't think taxes can get much higher in NYC. It's higher here for me than it was in Canada when I lived there.

I'm really supportive of an East/West coast bullet train too. One that possibly connects LA to NYC, and also ones that go up/down both coasts. We are so far behind in this respect.
