yup...i've had them before from walgreens...they were out of my usual trt syringes-those retractables are very expensive compared to my usual....so, unfortunately there may be some credibility to that....although some bright person may have just used that as a way to get mariah off the hook-this wouldn't surprise me.

Honestly, I never have. I’m willing to bet we don’t even stock them in my hospital. I doubt they are all that common, but it certainly seems plausible in this case.

Though they are higher cost, it wouldn’t surprise me if they are using them at mass vaccination sites. After doing hundreds of patients a day, it would be easy to get careless or slip up- resulting in self stick. Not that I think Mariah received/or didn’t receive hers at such a place..haha

i worked production on high speed machines for many, many years...anytime a machine gets shut down either by crashing or by manual shut down for breaks or change of shift any product in the process is required to be thrown out when restarting-this is time consuming and some operators are lazy or are behind in numbers and will start machine with unfinished product going out as finished product. it is very possible those needles missed the last action of the process, the sharpening!!!

this is also most probably what has happened when you find empty capsules in a bottle.
