Tomorrow is my comp squat and bench. And for those wondering I had pizza and a pint of ice cream for my cheat. I knew I should have picked sushi, I was mad disappointed in the NY Style pizza I ate. Sushi never lets me down...

Next Friday tho, sushi for dayz.
 
What are you pulling your weight off of? Normally I load the bar and hoist it up onto some supa-thick 100lb plates, but in a pinch I use 2 45s stacked. But that ends up being higher than the 100s (which are 3.5-4 in thick prob).

old rubber mats from an old gym lol they're cut into squares, and stacked. I'll get a picture to show you tomorrow.

The 100lb plates are mad thick! We've got a few in the gym.
 
I only use one 100lb plate per side lol; I only use 2 45s if I don't have access to them, but that's a bit higher than I really want.

Today was actually the end of my 8 week cycle of RTS. I'm going back to keep it rolling, tomorrow will be my comp deads, which I'll go all in on and my secondary bench movement will be something easy and light. Will just catch a pump the rest of the workout..

My body is goin the other direction lol. I'm scaring 175lbs these days. Rebound growth is just too much fun.

I should continue my log regarding training now because I'm doin 5/3/1. Started today actually. But enough about me, keep up the good work!

The promoter hasn't set a date yet. It's ALWAYS in either January or February. Ideally it'll be in January, so I'll have 12 weeks to prep for the bb show that jdg is doin :)

I got my butt handed to me! But not from lack of trying. Those guys were amazingly conditioned and BIG in my class. I was the smallest guy there.
Most of the contestants were prepping for a national qualifier the very next week- and a very competitive one at that. So they were "I'm two wins away from a procard" look lol if that makes any sense.

I came in tighter that morning but was holding quite a bit of water that evening.

Throw the link up to that training log, dog. 5/3/1 is good to log anyway; the weights & reps lifted get so tedious to remember all the specific rep PR's. Nice to be able to go back and see what you did so you have an idea if you're falling behind or making general progress.
 
Tyga, you always squat looking at the floor? I know Stan "The Rhino" Efferding does that, but it puts most people into a good morning when the going gets tough.

Keep rolling on that RTS! It's obviously been progressing well, so don't rock the boat - gotta remember, exact opposite of bodybuilding. Ride that program til the wheels fall off.

Sho has. It keeps my neck in a neutral position and my bar path straight up and down while keepin my core tight and straight without a butt "wink" at the bottom.

Also, I made this delicious meatloaf yesterday and have been eating it this whole week (so far) well, it's higher in fats because I used 1lb 80/20 beef and 1lb jimmy dean sage sausage cooked in. HOLY CRAP this is on point lol

Long story short my macros until I eat this up is:
CHO - 260g
PRO- 160g
FAT- 80g

My macros will resume back to normal next Monday
Cho- 305
Pro- 160
Fat- 65

When you pull into the bar and initiate that 405 pull, butt pops up to get the bar moving. Set the hips higher initially if you have to, but that butt shouldn't rise faster than the bar. Pull back, not up, as you drive the legs through the floor.

Yah I wish I would have grabbed leaner meat lol. Bro, the meatloaf is fire. Swear.

I didn't pull the slack out of the bar, I was focused on my lat cue, and ham string tightness cue. If you watch my hams (and glutes- ghey I know) they stay clenched/tight, without my legs locking out until fully upright. My leg drive is non existent from the bottom in that video lol

Yeah I know. I just established my estimated 1RM on squats and bench the past two nights.

Last night I did 315 X 6 squats relatively easy. Could have done 8 or 10. My max estimate is 400lbs.

Tonight I benched 225 X 16! Didn't see that coming. I'll start up the log at some point soon.

me either, my squats just over 2x my weight, deads just under 3x my weight and bench is 1.75x my body weight. I only see this getting better until show day :D

I think your butt is popping at the start because you don't have the leg drive off the floor in that pull is what I meant.

I've been feeling really good for the last week or so. All of my lifts are improving, my sleep has been better and hell life is going great in general! I'm thinking of bumping my cardio up to 20mins total tabata instead of 16min.. What do you guys think?
