Does green tea extract deplete thyroid hormone?

I thought taking a small amount of green tea extract would make sense for me because it inhibits aromatase and lowers LDL cholesterol. But once I started taking it, it seemed to cause weight loss. If it is doing that the same way growth hormone does, by increasing conversion of T4 into T3, then I don't want to take it because it will deplete my T4. Is it possible that green tea does that?
