I ordered some ephedrine hcl that expires in december of this year. There's might be too much to use before that time so I'm curious if it'll still be good enough to use after that date.

Unless you had the lid off and left it in the bathroom for the last 6months, it should be fine. Keep in a cool, dry, light-free environment (like the closet) I've seen Eph SO4 powder retain potency after a decade in refrigeration.
