Do they even lift? NomZ and Rhadam train to compete with SNS!

Keep pushin man!

Deload schmeload.

You deloading the week before? If so I'd fight through too. Plus, overreaching before a break could help anyways.
Lol, trying guys!
Chad Wesley Smith does deload, week off, then meet. Of course, he's on a different level, but it's some food for thought. Pulls lookin good!
I just do deload the week of the meet. Monday the 21st will be my last heavy day, everything that week will be no more than 55% and I compete Sunday the 27th.

Calorie deficit is not helping the need of the deload. Was 201 this morning...

Calorie deficit was the only reason I had to deload last meet! I hate 'em!

USPA elite?

What ever fed your doing. I was thinking with you cutting that hard maybe you had an elite total, record lift in the class, or even a qualifier in mind. Basically curious to the reasoning for cutting down to the 181's.

USPA Master Classic Raw is 1380 for 181, I should get that and more. USPA Elite is 1500.

One last meet at 181, the competition is stiffer for this meet as a 181.

Master? Thought that was old people

And 1500?? Jesus. I thought everywhere else was 1471-1475 for just a 198

lol yep, and that's not even int'l elite.

I was talking about it at my gym today. Single lift federations really don't mean jack ****. Add up all the Feds/divisions/classes....there's probably 10,000 seperate ****ing records. Totals seem to be the only thing that carry over fed to fed.

Annnnnd you just proved that wrong

USPA has the good standards. That's the chart I have saved to my desktop.

lol

I agree the USPA standards are more competitive.

Good feeling squat session, just need to get more consistent with depth. Had more in me but adductors are feeling pretty tight and beat up, so took it easy.

Them's some big doubles, buddy. Nice ass sesh.

555 deepest thanks to dem bands

Good ****ing job man! I like the look of 5+ wheels
As do I. Critiques? I see a lot of knee movement and a need to sit back more.

Even 135 bench felt heavy today...

Just watched the squats. Good assessment. Looks like the extra weight was helping you. Last set you crushed depth.

You keep the body nice and tall the whole time. Could the knees be moving be more of a maximal weight thing as opposed to a miss que/technique flaw? I know it's harder for me as the weights go up.

If I had any critique, I'd say to push your head back from the unrack to the rerack. You do a good job pushing it back in the hole, but give yourself a little better starting point, taller and likely able to sit back a bit more.

Nice work on them benches. Owning 315.

I was more concerned with medial/lateral movement, and less the knee travel. I've been neglected glute training and abduction exercises.

Was going to disagree with the head positioning bc it's semi-neutral to start, but rewatched and saw what you saw. Will keep in mind this Friday.

Reverse bands helped.

I would expect at this point you'd give Phelps a run for his money. Throw a prowler in the pool and tell whoever's getting you to swim to push that thing from the deep end to the shallow end and back without coming up for air. If it's shorter than an Olympic pool, make them do two laps.

You need to quit this class
lol truth
I still get such a kick out of reading these swim workouts. This an entire semester class?
Yep, entire semester.

What amuses you so much? I'm not very amused...lol

Not quite, I'm coniderably more jacked and stronger than phelps.

If I had a prowler, I'm not letting it rust in the pool.

I would never advocate that. After it kills the bastard--and if they're a quitter and they float, push their head down-- retrieve the prowler and go about your life happier and fatter.

1. Because they're usually a quarter of my warmup length, but I know how much of a struggle it is for non-swimmers haha

2. Yes you are considerably more jacked and stronger than phelps. Hell, I'm probably stronger than phelps. What makes someone that good at swimming is just plain ole genetics.

Lol I just want a prowler to push.

I'm aware, our total swim distance is a little more than the advanced swimming course's warmup.

I had zero cardio endurance before this class, though I do have a bit of a swimmer's build. I used to swim almost every day 3yrs ago, but that was only 500-750yds after lifting.

So your handoff was too low? That's gotta be a rare phenomenon. I've seen a zillion high handoffs, but never a low one.
