Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

Not too far away!

A lot of strong lifters out there. Team Jax, Samson Barbell, and I hear Charles Bailey and a friend of his train in some non-powerlifting specific gym as well. Can't forget you either!

The wife and I have talked about going down for a bit her best friend teachers at the gulf coast state University said we could stay with her

I train at a Bailey's. It's ok, but they don't allow certain things. (EDIT: I just realized you weren't talking about the Bailey's owner. )

I looked into Team Jax, and couldn't find where the facility was. I'll have to look into these again.

Id pm him. He knows a lot lifters and may be able to help connect you with some.

Great day bench went well. pressing is getting a lot smoother finally gaining my confidence in it again

Chaos bench is always fun not sure if it's a better time to watch other people struggle at it or doing it yourself

Close grips are going great

BUKP =Bottoms up kettlebell press

Next weekend we'll be getting into some uncharted territory for me in terms of reps and volume

That's it thanks for reading

Looked like a fun day.

Quick maybe dumb question got some heavy weight to walk out this weekend would it be OK just to do a couple walk outs with it today shouldn't effect anything

My usual tue stuff wide stance box squats deficit deads

Edit I know I can do it I've done the weight before in the mono

Walkouts have never really taxed me, but I'm also not walking out what you guys are.

You could do heavy walkouts today, but I don't think they're a huge help.

I can see the purpose in the peramitors of CWS or Dr. squat IF it is a brand new weight. For me, a brand new weight can feel like a ton my first time. I'd assume everyone is different though(ala Sean the other day).

Some days weights as light as 80% feel heavy on my back. Other days everything feels light

And sean...well, he isn't human.

Notes
Good day felt pretty strong on banded squat. I switched cause the program called for banded squats plus I want it to help me to get through the sticking point I got.

Walk was just practice my steps with that weight. Shouldn't be a problem this weekend as long as I don't hit the rack like I did today lol

Deficits felt heavy probably cause these are the heaviest ones I've ever done

SS set were killers especially the bow & arrow stiff legs

That's it thanks of reading
Dmax

Edit:added calf presses

I remember herder's remarks from last time to keep my shins straighter so widened my stance out as far as the rack will alow a Push my knees out hard. Think I actually got it this time

I don't know enough to comment either, but I will say that is looks like you're squatting in outer space with the lighting going on at your gym.

I'm not really an expert on box squatting, so overall, it looked good to me. The only thing I really noticed was that your head position changed throughout the set. it looked like you looked forward/slightly up on both the eccentric and concentric on your first rep, but looked down on the eccentric and up on the concentric on your latter two.

There are sky lights in that area and surprisingly it's sunny today

Probably, Damn mirrors I forgot to flip the rack this week

Looked a lot better than before, man. Just have that little rock.

Get a PVC pipe and face the wall and try to squat without touching the wall. Damn near impossible but it'll make you sit back and torque your legs.

Looks like On the box squats you sat down first then sat back just before the box. Try to start off sitting back. Those bands should allow you to sit a little further back. Then just push on the bar with your back and stay away from your knees as you get off the box. Really they were pretty good, definitely passable, just a few things you can improve on.. You'll get better if you keep working them.

Watched some vids last night and tried the wall squats Damn near sanded my face on the wall a couple times. Noticed some tightness in my left hip I'm trying to work on this morning

Picked up some more reading material "Squat Every Day" sounds like a good read

Is this a book or article?

Some guy at my gym is doing squats every day.

Lol she still doesn't like to go alone at least as night gives me an opportunity to work on my hips I've been neglecting
