I've seen the kettle ball stuff and never thought to sub plates.
You can use a barbell or a special barbell or pvc pipe and suspend from bands or chains or whatever you find. and use plates or kettlebells. Each has different levels of instability but if you wanna give it a shot, you make do.
Like pvc bench works the stabilizers in the shoulders forces u to stay tight as hell

Herder for some reason I'm always slow out of the hole the guys accuse me of pause sqauting the weight all the time. Also I think I forgot the glute cue on the last 2 sets cause on the previous ones I remember actively trying to do it

All I could think of today while squatting was an odd lou voice telling me to squeeze my glutes lol and yes I do use flat shoes they are the mark bell Crossfit shoes I bought them from Sean and love them just wish they were a size smaller

I always felt like pause squats got me faster.
It's the same raw, gear, knee wraps, no wraps. Faster you get in faster you get out. I pretty much go real fast, bottom out my wraps and mobility for bounce and start reversing just as I get there. I always felt like pause squats got me faster.
Thinking about this: It seems like they're good for teaching you how to initiate out of the hole.

Wrap your wraps tighter
No idea. I think a lot may have to do with your connection to the floor. When I don't have a good "spread the floor" connection, I'm slow out the hole.

Either or, man. Like Sean said, usually go with comp bar placement for specificity. But I'm not as sadistic as Sean. I pause 2-3 seconds for triples. No reason really. Duffin like 5s with a SSB.
