DIM Question

Ok so I went to the urologist, had low FSH, low T (382 ng/dl), high estradiol (45), normal LH but slightly low for my age and I am only 23 and have never taken steroids. So my urologist has prescribed me a 3 week regimen of hCG at 400 IU once every three days...but I am just worried that this is going to push my estradiol up more and my major reason for going in in the first place was no sex drive. He also prescribed supplementing 100 mg of zinc a day, eliminating alcohol, and taking a very small amount of soy protein while I am doing this to combat the estrogen.

Is this good or would it be better to take DIM? Has anyone taken DIM and have it work and know how to take it? Is zinc as effective?

I also thought that soy would increase estrogen...he says that is true but at very low levels it actually reduces the bad effects of estrogen first, you just can't go crazy on it.

Please give me advice, just trying to make all of my systems work naturally again!

I take DIM @ 100 mg 3X day (1 with each meal). For Zinc, I will go with a ZMA supplement on an empty stomach before bed. I'm not sure how the soy protein will help combat estrogen???

I take soy protein every day. Nothing wrong with soy protein. Some of the biggest companies sell soy protein. HCG is not bad at all actually. I would do every 4 days but 3 works too. Oh and T (382 ng/dl) is not low. under 200 is considered low. You are in the limits still so technically your definition of low is not medically low. Plus its not how much total T but free T. Great analogy is this. I can have millions of dollars in the bank (total T) but if I can't pull the money out of the bank (free T) what good is having millions of dollars in the bank. How much free test do you have? Also Lifting heavy will naturally increase T levels and cutting out carbs will help raise T levels too. Omega 3's are important and your fats are key for keeping your hormones in check.

All good points....i know my T isn't THAT low, but for a 23 year old it surely is...but yeah I think my problem is more the high estrogen at 45...any number over 30, especially in young men, can cause erectile and libido issues, something that I suffer from. It desensitizes your erection as well so you don't feel as much.

What seems to be the problem? Are you sick? I just am not sure what you are getting at. I mean endless your dieng or need medication what is the problem? Are you not lifting weights like you want. Is your diet in check btw? How are your sleeping habits. Your posting like your about to die or something lol. Listen to your doctor.
