Diesel Test HC --- 7 Weeks & Nothing Yet

Background and situation :
43 year old male at 178 lbs. Train 3x week. Compete in local/regional powerlifting meets in the USAPL, IBP, AAU and the UPA. Last three years of blood work shows total test levels in the 300-400 range. Had blood work performed recently but will have to look up the exact numbers. Started taking DTHC seven weeks ago due to very low sex drive, fatigue, and slow recovery between workouts. When I say low sex drive, I mean only once to twice per month and hardly ever think about it. My doctor tells me that it is just a part of getting older.

DTHC dosage
1st week per label.
2nd - 5th weeks at six per day 2/2/2 with one - two days off per week.
6th - 7th weeks at seven per day 3/2/2 with one - two days off per week.
Will start 8th week Monday at eight per day 3/3/2.

So far I have not noticed any increase in sex drive, no alpha male feelings, no increase in temper or iritability, no increase in morning erections, no increase in daily erections, no change in fatigue or recovery between workouts.

I also take NOS Ether Level 1 as directed, five to six whey protein shakes per day with meals, NOW Adam multivitamin morning and evening, NOW Vitamin E at 400ius with lunch, NOW Vitamin B Complex with lunch, NOW Super Enzymes at four to six per day, NOW Omega 3-6-9's at four per day, NOW EGCG at three per day before meals, and Primaforce Cissus the same time I take the EGCG.

I will continue to take DTHC at eight per day until the second week of November and at that time I will be getting blood work performed again. I originally wanted to take DT Pro for the dhea at my age but cannot due to the fact that dhea is on the banned list in the USAPL. An endogenous hormone, dhea, cannot be administered exogenously. If I was one of the ones that was tested at a meet and tested positive I would then not be able to compete in the AAU or the IBP since they would honor the USAPL results.

Any ideas to help my situation.
 
I would try backing the dose way down like to 2 or 3 ED.For me and many others to much DTHC will kill there libido.I went up to 6 ED and it it made me very tired and cranky but a 2-3 ED i feel great.
 
I'm on DTP, Nos Ether and and taking R4W along with but not at the same time ( of course ) Jacked. I've getting awesome everything with this stack. Sex drive is crazy, horney as ****! Badass mentality is great, though I felt it even more on DTH. I feel stronger, my raging **** is harder ( gf was going nuts when I nutted ). My results have been great! Soon I'll be taking once again DTH on off days from lifting and DTP of WO days. I'M A ****ING BEAST! GET DIESEL OR DIE TRYING.

Not sure what to tell you. Back of, start again. Are you getting enough sleep?
 
I know as a powerlifter you want alot of cals...but 6 shakes a day???? Is that absolutely necessary? Your other supplementation looks really good. I don't know if I've ever heard of anyone taking 6 whey shakes a day. I would be sh*tting liquid ALL DAY! How many whole food meals are you getting in a day? I would decrease the amount of shakes and increase your fat intake. Looking into some Extra Virgin Cocunut Oil, Peanut Butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Are you getting adequate EFA's? I'm not a nutritionist or scientist, but that is the first place I would look. Also someone said above to decrease the dosage. A lot of people were taking too high a dose and having lower libido and increased lethargy. I would go back to label recommendations and start there for maybe 2 weeks. DTHC is a great product. Bummer you can't take DTP, b/c that would probably be better at 43yo.

BTW - If you already are getting enough good sources of fat then my bad, just seems like it could be a factor here.
 
Just curious if you've noticed any increase in effectiveness of your pre-workout supps, as DTH/DTP will do that as well. That was one of the first things I noticed, and then everything else came into play. Granted, some people just might be non-responders. Lower doses are more for the libido aspect, while higher doses are for the more aggression end of it, and I can attest to that. Agreed that at your age, DTP would be better, but I understand why you can't take it. The DTH that your using, is it the new 120 or 240 count stuff, or the older 120 count?
 
I am using the new 240 count bottles, the ones that leave a taste in your mouth and I belch for a least an hour. Answeres to comments above : My whey shakes consist of only about 15g of whey protein with eight ounces of water and four ounces of skim milk taken mostly with my five to seven small meals per day. I get 7-8 hours of sleep per night. For good fats I take 4-5 of the NOW Omega 3-6-9 caps per day, I go through a small jar of peanut butter per week, and add a tablespoon of ground flax seeds to my oatmeal everyday at breakfast. I can't increase my calorie intake any because I like competiting in the 165-181 weight class and I stay at 177-181 with my current calorie consumption. I have not noticed any change in the effectiveness of my pre-workout supplements either.
 
Am in the same boat here. am on 8 - 10 a day and haven't noticed anything from 3 a day when i started. The only thing i've noticed is my balls are slightly bigger and feel fuller but nothing else at all.
 
Thanks for the answers maxotguy,man, sorry to hear it's doing nothing at all for ya. I thought at the least you'd notice some NO type of reactions, if you didn't notice anything else. As to SemiBulimic, mine always feel like bowling balls, as long as I take a day or 2 down time, and then jump back on the DTH or DTP again.
 
You are an elderly, I advise DTP because it contains DHEA, which a guy your age can use.

Your up in age and hard for me to believe Get Diesel products aren't working for you. I'd go see the good Doc and do a complete checkup, cause something isn't working properly within' those ol' bones.

Or you can do a bunch of tests yourself, they sell em' at many of the supp. stores online.
 
Well if he is an elder, I feel with a doctor's excuse he should allowed to go on TRT or at least take DHEA, there others who get the permission to do so.
 
In the 'World Anti-Doping Code 2009 Prohibited List International Standard' that the USAPL uses there is nothing in there about being under a dr's care. What is in there is this. 'In all cases, and at any concentration, if a banned substance, "let's just say dhea" is found to be in a range found normally in humans but can be determined to be from an exogenous origin you will be deemed to contain a Prohibited Substance'.

What more can be said, I can't take DTPro. Over in the '35 and older' forum there is a lot of talk about Epi, Form and dhea working well for a lot of older guys but I cannot take any of those for the benefits I'd like to see, a decrease in fatigue, an increase in test levels and an above average sex drive.

The reasoning behind this is, they want a 50 year old guy who sets a world record in the age range, to not have the test level of an 18 year old. I can get quite a bit of stuff from a doc, they don't want that. I don't lift thier, but i understand the reasoning.

The longer I take this and the more I take per day, up to eight yesterday, the more tired and fatigued I feel. Have had a dull headache for the past three days but I'm drinking so much water I have to go about every forty five minutes to the bathroom. I cut the dosage way back today and am only going to take three per day at 1/1/1.

I'll wait and see how I feel. I may not be able to take this product, it may just not agree with me.

Real quickly.. Whats your MaxOT program look like?? I have not worked out in close to 4 months (newborn :) ) and am not to sure about jumping into HST.

Now.. I was giving your situation some thought today, and I encountered the same thing, but it was 5 or 6 tabs, not sure why, and was trying to figure out if sleep had anything to do with it (how is your sleep by the way?)
I added some Divanil 95% extract to my 2 tabs of DTHC (old 120 ct version), and I felt more awake and alert, definitely not sleepy\lethargic..

My workout is only three days per week and last about fifty minutes average. Monday is deadlift day, Wednesday is bench day, and Friday is squat day, with only one workset after warmup based off of a predetermined schedule. Assistance work follows the main lift which consist of six to eight movements for only one set to failure using a rep range of 6-10. So total number of sets per workout is never above nine sets and I get four days off per week. My job consists of sitting in front of a computer for eight to nine hours per day, so it is not demanding. My sleep is seven to eight hours per night but I wake up two to three times, at least once to get a snack.

I've ordered some maca extract to start taking at 1050mg per day to see if that helps.

i would take a week off and start at a low dose, if your felling fatigued and sleepy and getting no results your probably taking 2 many/day for your body.
