dextrose....locally???

Why can't i find any place in Houston Texas that sells dextrose? everybody acts like i am crazy when i ask. I also find it strange 90% have no idea what dextrose or glucose is.

anyone know a local shop that might sell it. i don't want to wait on shipping.

found a place......and just as my wife happen to to be driving by i called her.... i now have 5 lbs of dextrose and 5 lbs of Maltodextrin for a like $1 a pound
