Dude you are at least 25%. Man boobs are in the 25+ range. I too am a full time college student taking 15hrs of upper level accounting classes while studying for the CPA. What a moron, people with 10% bodyfat can have gynecomastia. It's a deformity that involves enlarge breasts via estrogen, not enlarge weight due to obesity.

And what it shows is that YOU ARE IN NO POSITION to argue anything. Read, eat, lift, sleep and get big then when you have an impressive physique start telling other people how they can acheive what you did. Until then you'd be better off being a mute.

It is impossible to talk 180 hours straight, it's impossible to stay awake that long. I'm a computer science student that requires to do tutorials on the computer, I have 3 online classes I'm starting on for this summer, therefore I'm required to be on the computer a lot. What's your excuse?
 
I just read most of this and have a headache. Gymrat, one thing you will learn is results speak alot better than any book or article, and one thing about Dante is he has provided the results for a long time. I don't know how his training works for drug free lifters, because i remember his drug protocol, and it was quite a bit. Now he is kind of mainstream and that always makes me wonder because training DC meant hiring Dante back in the day. I think his routine is high intensity low volume, which is good, but can also lead to injuries when done constantly (dorian yates) and i don't beleive in following one man blindly even Louis Simmons.

I can answer this for "myself" as i have trained natural for 98% of the time i have DC'd, and it works well for me.

I have also seen a number of naturals on IM, making great progress. One of Dante's trainees(brianb) is a natural and has made some very impressive gains over the years..

As for Yates, IIRC he said in his latest video(dugdales) that his injuries were from not backing off when he needed to(close to contests, etc) But in regard to DC, upping your rep ranges a bit, seems to help.


Gymrat- You are entitled to your OPINION but you are missing my point. I don't care if you train with the little pink dumbells if you feel that is best for you. My point is, you are discrediting a PROVEN program, by a very well respected individual, WITH POINTS THAT DON'T EVEN RELATE TO DC.. If you had any legitimate points, then your opinion may actually hold weight.

You may have read the program 50x but you still don't understand it, or how it is laid out, or done.

Considering my body is so terrible, i'm guessing that is still OK right? Good :). It sure will be embarassing for me to post pics up at 20X @ 8% compared to your 180 at 30%. Hopefully I wont be emotionally scarred from being outshined.

Computer science isn't the only one that goes online, but it's done on the computer anyway, so online is a suitable approach.

I'm not even arguing over the routine, impreszivr. I tried walking away to let you guys discuss your own thread, I made the point of saying I personally didn't condone the routine. Hoother started ignorant personal attacks AGAIN and I've been trying to walk away for the last 2 hours.

I take it back for the love of god do us all a favour and get lost- to everyone else good points- to the op who tried to stop this turning into an argument good man and reps to you, to gymrat I trained DC for around 6 weeks 100% natty and had no issue what so ever recovering in time, I also go to work and school from 7.20am to 5.00pm the only official brake I get is 20 minutes in the morning which allows me to eat one meal- the other 3 meals I eat in that time I literally eat while I am walking around on the job or between classes even in this situation i eat ridicoulusly clean yet large meals, perhaps rather than making pathetic excuses for your sorry excuse for a diet you could make such an effort? anyway im out of here again im going to eat a nice clean meal and do some work, I would hazard a guess thats 2 concepts you dont understand.

I'll show you a picture of me at 125 lbs with visual abs with gynecomastia, still.

This was the year I broke my high school record mile run at 4 minutes and 48 seconds and was inducted into the whos who among American High Schools students, I also did 73 sit ups in 1 minute giving me the top 5 among the high school and did 65 push ups in 1 minute. All at 125 pounds, roughly around 14% bodyfat, I've had gynecomastia (puffy nipples) for as long as I can remember.

I did not attack your you I simply stated that no matter how hard it must seem (as things are for me) you should still be able to eat a clean diet. For anyone else wanting a laugh

I have it too; however, mine was every since I was a kid. I just have puffy nipples.
 
Man, i can't believe that this thread has turned into this. I've been training for 7+ years and just recently gave DC a try. I absolutely love the program and it does allow me enough time to heal without being on anything hormonal. Your body gets adequate work as you try every body part twice in 8 days, which i think is phenomenal. I'll admit that i was also skeptical about the one exercise per body part but i now realize that anything more would be overkill. If you don't like the program than don't do it, but on the other hand you shouldn't be crapping on people cause they like the program and are making gains their own way. As for arguing about lifting numbers it's stupid and pointless as we are all good at different lifts and have different levels of strength. WHO CARES!!!! None of us are going to get a gold star for our effort so lets stop arguing about who`s stronger. This thread is supposed to be about dc training so lets talk about DC training.
Gymrat if you don`t like DC training then why don`t you start a thread about hating it so you don`t have to waste our time here. I personally would like to use this thread to discuss DC and share ideas with other people who enjoy this style of training.

Oh yeah, one more thing......

how is dc training more geared towards roid users? if anything, the high volume, doing tons of sets, lifting every day is more geared towards juicers. this is a highly abbreviated routine, done with high intensity. you get plenty of time to recover between workouts. bodybuilding isnt about some marathon, its about building muscle. and the best way to do that is with high intensity, then, give yourself enough time to recupe. the name of the game is lifting progressively, right?? you see some guys in the gym, who never change, and you look at what they are lifting. its most likely very close to the weight they used 2 years ago. but i guarantee you, you take a guy, who is now doing curls with 150, rather than 85lbs, id bet his bi's will be alot bigger. the stronger you get, the bigger you get, if you're diet is decent, and you aren't simply doing max reps and doubles. You look at guys like ronnie coleman, watch the amount of weight he uses. then look how big he is. sure, he does steroids, but the fact still is, his size matches his strength. there are powerlifters that can get stronger, without gaining any muscle, but thats done with careful control over diet. plus, they do very low reps, which stimulate the cns more than the muscle. thats where their strength increases come from. but when you get stronger doing 8 rep sets, your also going to gain muscle along with strength.
 
I do like the concepts of dc. But the people involved in it and Dante himself seem very close minded to anyone who dares to change it according to their own specific makeup. example, i don't like doing 3 or 4 major muscle groups in one workout, so instead of it being a 2 day split, where you work the whole body in 2 days, i do it in 3 workouts. this way, im able to give as much attention to all muscle groups and not be dead tired to do my last muscle group.
 
Heavy weight is relative.. If the weight is HEAVY for you, then that is what you need to be using.

That said, there is ways to manipulate how heavy of weights(for you) you are using, through different rep ranges.

For instance DB incline bench presses. You could do 90 for 15rp, or possibly 75 for 30rp. You can be progressive on either.
