Dancing with 'tropins: BodyWizard's GH experiment

Malek256 said:
P.S. If you are interested in something else (and cheap) to try for that hairline, I definitely recommend trueroman's laser hair brush. It's worked better than I'd dared to dream for me.

Details please!!!

psywzrd, there's a thread on AM (here) where Big Vrunga and I were exchanging info, I can't seem to find it.

But I tracked the use of the brush as an experiment on my own site here: Invalid Link Removed

Thanks man. I actually ordered one of those things based on your success. Hopefully I'll get some positive results from it as well.

psywzrd, lemme know either way okay? Especially if it doesn't work for you, I would feel bad to find out I was one of a small percentage of responders or something.

But also, if it keeps working for many people, it would be great to pass the word around!

You got it.

Weeks 27 + 28, Hexatropin Box 5 - Wrap-up and Milestones

Weight = 180 / Waist = 35“ / BF% = 20.03

NO, I’M NOT DEAD YET!

...though you could be forgiven for assuming otherwise....

I have - finally - finished my 5th box, after an oh-so-ragged couple of months.
The VAT I have complained of so long is dramatically reduced, and I am now able to do many things that were previously difficult, uncomfortable or impossible: bend in half, lie on my stomach, fit into old slacks, row...this means workouts can begin in earnest as soon as the weight room is together & the ortho clears me for weight-bearing work.

My sweetie says my hair is coming in darker than ever; she’s quite entertained, it seems. Says I have a legitimate hairline now. Will do up new hair pics soon, but for now, the area of apparently-hairless scalp (from the previous pix) is one half what it was. Beard is growing in thicker & darker, too.

During my ”inconsistency“, I was not merely slack about the Hex: I was pretty much equally slack about my supps in general, so consider the continuing BF diminution in that light.

no longer sporting the wood of a teen-ager, but I suppose that was inevitable: I blame age and tiredness equally. Libido, however, is unflagging, regardless of the state of my equipment. I continue to take the torem, tho spottily.

Me & Sweetie are going away for a long weekend, during which we will be enthusiastically NOT WAITING ANY LONGER. I will be strict about the Hex and the torem all this week, and will pack the cialis....

After we get back, we’ll begin moving her in here with me.

On a less encouraging note: my daughter has jumped ship. It’s not that she and Sweetie don’t like each other, it’s that I’m changing...and I’m not supposed to: messes with her head, and she doesn’t like that, so she’s gone. Tears my heart, but I can’t keep on being her father without being my own man. I pray this will be soon resolved.

OTHER MILESTONES

nails & hair continuing to grow fast; nails thin, easily torn - not enough protein, I guess
immune system is strong, slight body acne, skin is smooth and flexible
reflexes good;
eyesight improving: floaters are rarely apparent, and the blank area in my left field of vision (an artifact of the cataract surgery in ‘99) is no longer blank....
other than occasional twinges, joint pain is absent
a lost ability regained: for years, I was able to rise from being seated cross-legged on the floor without struggle or assistance, but as I got older, I lost the combination of powers that allowed me to do this gracefully & without apparent effort. Last week, without thinking, I simply did it.

Glad to hear that it is working so great for you, BW! And I'm also very happy that you will finally be getting your pickle tickled. LMAO!!! As for your daughter, just give her time and I'm sure that she will come around. She's had a lot to deal w/recently but once she metabolizes all of it, it'll get better.

thanks, bro!

I really do feel like a million bucks...and a 4-day retreat with the sexiest woman I've ever had look at me? well...!

am having lunch today with daughter and ex, in hopes of smoothing things - or at least speeding the healing; they're headed off on a road trip tomorrow.

all I need now is the go-ahead from the ortho, and I can get pushin' on some focused workouts (had an appt. last week, but the sudden departure of daughter drove it from my head, so now I have to re-schedule.

next update will be on the 20th - 21st: I'll be busy until then

now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go collect my things....

I just read the entire thread.
I am very impressed and proud of you.
God bless and keep fighting.

Fortune favors the bold.

Wassup fellas sorry I havent been around lately...going through ch ch ch changes..sounds like things are going along pretty well. Im sure your daughter will come around.

Weeks 29 + 30 / Hexatropin #6

Weight, waist and bf% are holding steady...still waiting to see the orthodoc (I've never seen such messed-up scheduling) to get cleared for weight-bearing...my *right* knee has been hard to walk on for the last 2 weeks (stiff, painful, doesn't want to bend, throbs - guess we got carried away), and that's slowed me down a lot: what residual pain I have in my left knee is from the strain of favoring my right; it's feeling very fragile, and I've been extra-careful with it. In spite of this, I've begun again w/ the kettlebells out of sheer frustration.

Things on the girl-friend front click along - our getaway was a lot of fun, and now she's all moved in (which has kept me away) & we're beginning to get ourselves squared away. I have occasional moments of panic, but who doesn't?

Am half-way thru the last box of Hexatropin; as mentioned before, I've throttled back on some supps - partly from distraction, and partly to get a feel for how things are without them - particularly the cabergoline, selegiline & toremifene. Pleased to say that "marital physiology" is chugging right along without them. I might have been disappointed with this level of performance 30 years ago, but I've had none - and I've heard none. If I can keep on chugging like this, I'll be a very happy man.

I wonder if the guys @ IBE would be interested in having a woman do a Hexatropin log? Girlfriend has become very interested in what it could do for her, as she's very pleased with watching things change for me. Any of our sistern gone a round or a few w/ the Hex?

New, supposedly-valid ortho appt. is in 2 weeks - expect to be cleared for the left knee & back under treatment for the right.

[ hi jack ]
Psy...the other thread is on here at Hair Thread on AM, maybe let's know your results there (I mean you're welcome to post 'em on my thread on Invalid Link Removed but that's kind of icky to be asking for content there when we're on THIS board atm...)
[ / hi jack ]

Waist = 35.25"
Weight = 174#
BF % = 21.6

Again (still!) busybusybusy - things are stabilising around here: Daughter has cheered up considerably (I had to get a bit harsh with her - she has been suffering from STS*), Sweetie & I are getting along fabulously (in bed and out), and hopefully (sometime soon!) I'll get to stop spending money at the current rate....

Appointment w/ the ortho tomorrow AM!!!! hopefully, will be cleared for throwing weights soon! Hopefully, will get the *other* knewe squared away in short order, too.

Still looking for some co-operation / opportunity for updated scalp pics. I'm not sure, but I feel like I've been *losing* color from my hair lately (albino sports showing up in body hair); still - overall hair growth has been excellent, and strength, energy and libido are continuing to hold up, despite the knee issue...need to cap up more joint blend!

2 weeks left of the Hex: looking forward to the Ora , and then back to the Hex???

Glad to hear it BW. I was wondering if you would consider using P-GH or PGH-T after this run of Hex? Being that you already know how awesome Hex is and what it's capable of, maybe you would be able to guage the difference/effectiveness between the two. Just a thought. No matter what you decide, I know it's going to be awesome.

Supplement regimen is being re-established - no big changes.

DID see the ortho today, and good news on my left knee: no pain, no sign of anything, so yay. On the other knee...I'm back in PT for 6 weeks, & taking anti-inflammatories. Once I can get the weight room functional (end of August???), I'll begin seated work. My lower body's always been better developed, anyway.

Aside from the knee (and some other joint stuff flaring up), I genuinely feel good & strong; I'm also down like 1-2 pant sizes over the last couple months. The limitations imposed by the knees bug the fool out of me, but a bad attitude hurts me & I don't need that, so I suck it up. My life is very good right now - I have little reason (or inclination) to complain. I do need to get to a dentist, though...too bad about the 'no free dental work' aspect of my separation from Wife....

Bionic - As for pGH or some other alternative to Hexatropin, I'm not inclined to change up products at this point: I'm much more likely to run this out for another 6 months, then take a 3-5 year break & see how I'm doing. Then I'd really have some perspective to offer.

All done. Hexatropin & Oratropin.

Current weight: 185#
Current waist: 33"
Current BF: 14.79%

Has been a fairly wild-n-wooly 6 weeks, but I have not lost track, nor lost faith, and I'll be doing a full update, milestone check & recap (with pix) over this next week.

For now, the news is: I've been cleared for weighted exercise by the doc!!!! my health & energy continue to be strong (despite having sex 4-6 times a week for the last 11 weeks...or maybe because of it?), the divorce is being filed this week, and NGF & I are still doing fine - life's just hella full w/ her around....

back soon, bros!

Milestones and Markers, revisited

hard to know where to begin...

I've finally been cleared for weight work by the doc, like I said - not that my knees are all better, but we reached the point where the doc agrees that weighted work is okay for my continued rehabilitation, so YAY!!!! In fact, I’m done w/ the PT entirely, at this point (though I’ll continue to do the strengthening exercises - my balance has improved amazingly).

changes in quality & degree of joint pain
Joints are mostly pain-free: knees still twinge at times, and knuckles go through spells occasionally. Have not given my joints the nutritional support they typically receive, will stock up on joint blend components before the next phase

hair color and thickness
Hair growth continues to be strong, and the color is now a darkening platinum
texture is still fine, but the volume of hair is increasing; at this rate, by spring you’ll no longer be able to tell I had a bald spot.
hair-color was grey-platinum-white (~30/30/40) - now platinum-white (60/40)
beard was 90+% white, then 80% - now ~55%

skin tone and texture
I haven’t noticed much in the way of changes here... but I’ve actually decided that’s the news: my skin is smooth and supple, looks good and feels healthy. I haven’t had a scaly patch, or a spot that won’t stop itching, or cracks around my fingernails, and small injuries heal quickly (have had no large injuries

circumferential measurements
Waist, weight & bodyfat are holding pretty steady (+/- an inch, 3 pounds and a percentile point). Because of the knees, I have not done the weighted work that would have shown up in body-part circumference checks

floaters & general visual reactivity & acuity
eyes (and attentiveness) sensitive to disturbance (like dirty glasses) but less prone to floaters; no shifts in acuity perceived

changes in perceived tinnitus
still shows up when pelted by computer-type noises, but nothing like before in frequency or severity

speed of growth (nails, hair)
trimming hair & beard every 2-3 weeks, so that may be a slowdown
beard is seeking winter shagginess
nails get filed 1 a week

scalp bumps
no more: they’ve all gone

=================================================
Early in this log, I published the following list:
MARKERS
these are things I'm looking to achieve over the next 8 months:

- 3 regulation pull-ups in 30 seconds
- 10 regulation push-ups in 30 seconds
- run a mile in 6 minutes
- kettlebell snatches without injury (last time I tried snatches, I *badly* re-injured my right shoulder on just 3 reps @ 12kg)
- general joint stability
- lack of pain in joints
- good range-of-motion in joints
- no need for shoulder surgery
- lose the 'water-balloon' torso
- normalisation of the endocrine system generally, GH & sex-complex specifically; optimisation, if possible.
- bodyfat below 15%
- able to put 50 lbs overhead stably & without pain
- no more depression

Of these goals, I have accomplished:
- 10 regulation push-ups in 30 seconds
- kettlebell snatches without injury
- no need for shoulder surgery
- lose the 'water-balloon' torso
- no more depression

I have partially achieved:
- normalisation of the endocrine system (work in progress, but signs are good)
- bodyfat below 15% (BF hovers between 15 & 17)
- able to put 50 lbs overhead (can put 16kg up again)

Joints...not a simple question. Yes, my joints are in better shape (generally) than they were; pain overall is much reduced even in my fingers (hell, I bought myself a guitar last week & I’m busily creating a new set of calluses); still, they can be extremely painful at times, and my knees a very much a work in progress; it may be another year before I really know what the story is with my knees. My shoulders, blessedly, blissfully, are virtually pain-free; my hips seem okay, but my knees are still “unsettled”. They feel unstable (at least a little) most of the time, even when there is no pain. I’m glad to have been using the Hexatropin while going through PT.

My daughter & I are getting along great, now that she's back in school; I have the divorce paperwork in hand, and will be signing and mailing that tomorrow; my sweetie and I continue to have a thoroughly enjoyable time together, and today we did our first workout together (“awwww...”). I’m volunteering in the community, having the best sex of my life (no, we really haven’t cooled off at all) with a libido like unto my early 30s, I’m in a good mood all the time (as long as I’m not driving...), and have lots of energy (but still run out of steam sometimes).

That’s enough for now.

Looks like its safe to say this experiment is a success! Congratulations on your accomplishments and all the positive things going on in your life.

I cant wait to see what the weighted work will do for you. Any ideas what these workouts will look like? How about supplements. Have you considered some igflr3?
Keep us posted.
:drunk:

just touching base - my life is so full now...it's hard to remember how bleak and blank things were this time last year.

I continue to do well, I get comments practically every day about how good I look, how much weight I've lost (clothes I've never worn (bought too small) now fit me very comfortably, and I am bus, and I'm really looking forward y, busy, busy! Still very much in love and having a wonderful time, getting TONS done, feeling very good about myself and my progress.

Continuing to work on a more thorough write-up/analysis - I'm currently considering this last year to be a repair-regeneration phase, and I'm expecting much more in the way of growth in strength and stamina and size with another round, which I would like to begin in December.

Continuing to hope that IBE will get back in touch with me about their offer of more 'tropins - I don't really want to pay full price if their offer is good, and I missed the recent sale due to waiting to hear back from them. Hope I haven't somehow disqualified myself from their very generous offer...(yes, I want to do another stretch badly enough that I nearly coughed up the cash anyway...but funds are extremely overcommited at the mo (divorce, college, car repairs, etc)).

Short news is results are up there near my wildest dreams, film (or at least pix!) coming soon(ish). This has truly been a great experience for me, with no down-sides whatsoever - the real deal, without question!

ryano, I'll be detailing the new workout regimen once a few big things around the house are taken care of - seasonal stuff, can't wait ...I'm sure you understand); check out the early posts for the basics of my thinking: the knee problems really short-circuited sop much of that, but I believe the basics are sound; still, I'm much stronger , healthier, and mostly pain-free, so that will influence things greatly.

55, still male, still 6’2”, 190#, BF = 18.5% (weight/girth calculation (USN)), 14.0% (calipers, 3-point (J/P))

wish I’d started off keeping this the Navy way...still, by the initial method of calculation, I bettered my target of 15%.

DIET
clean, balanced, whole-food
maintenance calories = 3600

overall, diet has been much better than before, but cal target has been too high (for fat-loss) on the one hand, too low on the other (for tissue-building); not hideous, but not a sterling example of diet in action....

TRAINING
since the goal is rejuvenation (to whatever extent may be possible), I plan to begin at the beginning, with bodyweight: calisthenics, floor exercises, walking / running, plus farmer carries. Will also be doing some yoga, some tai-chi & chi kung & general balance / reaction stuff. Early focus will be on relatively brief bursts of intense, whole-body activity spaced throughout the day, with walking, running & carrying beginning to build endurance

As things develop, I’ll be cutting back on the yoga & adding in other more vigorous activities, such as stick & staff work, roadwork, tumbling & weighted work: deadlifts, dumbbells, kettlebells.

By 4 months, I plan to introduce a focused weight training regimen alongside the speed & flexibility work.

My idea is to take advantage of the opportunity to rebuild strength from the bottom up & inside out, and to mimic childhood development as a guide to normal youthful physical activity; this way, I intend to establish a solid and unified base of general fitness and build from there, ramping up the intensity and complexity and all the while keeping a mix of activities in play. Sounds grandiose but let’s see how it goes.

I really recommend not undertaking something like this while your life is coming apart: too difficult to keep track of every little thing, too many pulls in contrary directions, too much strain, too much stress. That said, I think that the training end of things exceeded my wildest hopes, in most ways. I still have enough bodyfat that muscle definition isn’t *even* an exercise in futility - but I now have a body that declares the existence of muscle under the sub-Q; judging strictly by what I see in the mirror, I am more fit, more trim, and more obviously muscled than I have been in years (like 25-30 years). Overall, the results more than justify both the expense and the attention invested.

Clearly, the knee problems rendered much of my training plans infeasible, but I have pursued activity, flexibility and weight-bearing whenever possible, and I believe it shows clearly, as I get comments nearly every day to the effect that I’ve lost weight, beefed up, trimmed down, etc. My best friend of 25+ years observed Saturday that my turnaround has been astonishing - he says watching me move and work makes him feel old - and he’s 5 years my junior. He also says he’s never seen me so relaxed and happy....

I point back to my goals for this section: rejuvenation - whole-body, generally strengthening, tightening, toning, integrating, readjusting to normal activity. This has been accomplished in grand style, despite the setbacks, despite the enroute modifications. I am in fact vigorous and energetic: work, no matter how physical, no longer tires me out quickly, and I’m able to stay focused and stay in gear far longer than a year ago; I am much stronger overall, being able now to bend twist swing, haul, carry, lift, run, scurry up ladders, etc - where one year ago, I could do NONE of those things, even without loading...

Despite all fluctuations, I've maintained the early-childhood model of activity, and it has done well for me, IMO.

TRACKING POINTS:
In addition the usual of weight & bodyfat & calories, I’ll also be tracking such exotica as circumferential measurements, hair color and thickness, skin tone and texture, floaters & general visual reactivity & acuity, changes in perceived tinnitus, changes in quality & degree of joint pain, speed of growth (nails, hair), and so on.

The only real circumference tracked has been my waist, and it continues to hold @ 35“; Sub-Q continues to retreat, but VAT loss seems to have slowed dramatically;

hair color continues to darken: the apparent bald patch circling the crown is only 3” in diameter (I say apparent, because the patch is not in fact hairless - the hair is too sparse & fine yet to obscure the scalp) - was quite surprised to notice just now that the hair on the sides & back has gone beyond platinum & is now growing in *much* darker. Thickness and texture remain extremely fine; the original curl of the hair is virtually gone (not news, really).

virtually no real impact on the visual issues I’ve been tracking - nothing to report.

tinnitus is little changed overall - yes, I had some relief, but that no longer seems the case. chalk it up to acquiring a noisy girlfriend with a noisy computer....

nail (and hair) growth still faster; nails still thin and breakable.

Photos will help.

I feel bad about the lack of pix - the ones I uploaded earlier in this thread seem to be gone from AM and from my comp, and I had no idea it would be so difficult to get help snapping a few pix.

Still, I DO expect to have new pix, both overall and details of hair, etc, by the New Year, and hopefully I’ll be able to locate the previous snaps for comparison.

As everyone who's followed this in real-time knows, this log got very spotty / sporadic toward the end, and I have tried the patience of many brothers - to these men, my regrets! I can only hope that this doesn't compromise the usefulness of the log overall, and that I have not offended you guys with my irregular performance.

Things have changed greatly since this log began, in my life, in the lives of my friends and family, in my extended brotherhood here @ AM, and in the nation & world at large. Is it time to close this log and move on? I said at one point that I would keep this log ongoing, but it seems that my 'tropin dance is done, at least for now. I want to continue it, and I hope to, but I can't afford the expense for another round (not at the posted prices); then, too, it's time to be buckling down & hitting some weights (only days from getting the bench in the new weight room), and get on with the training aspect of this effort, now that I've got my knees back.

The GH release stimulation of the GHRP-6 & analogues has been an astounding success, IMO; my energy level is closer to that of my alte-20s / early-30s than I've felt during my 50s so for - and likely in my 40s as well. I have a sex drive and a very active sex life, and I'm enjoying both more than ever; I am once again active not only physically but socially, but I'm also in a relationship that I get great joy & satisfaction from, I'm in excellent health, and I haven't had a bout of depression to speak of this whole last year. I'm loving being alive, which is an incredible change, and I rarely feel overwhelmed anymore. I feel strong, confident, capable, centered, effective, productive, resourceful, successful; compare that to my OP:
First my marriage broke down then my diet broke down, then my sleep (the baby helped with that); got bitter, resentful, angry, depressed, fat & unhealthy, in that order; after 3 years of that, wife left, took the one child, the one car, the one bank account, started screwing my "friends", then I turned 40, then my dad died. I've been depressed - and my health has been deteriorating - ever since.

All this led to an ultimate low point, right around my 54th birthday; in the absence of my daughter, away at school, and the absence of my wife, now gone for more than a year, I was consumed by self-hatred and a HUGE unwillingness to continue to live in the life I'd made for myself - I stopped caring about anything, even living.
If you are in (or beyond) your 40s, and feeling prematurely old, without joy or energy, you might seriously entertain any of IBE's GHRP-6 offeringsas a foundational step in recovering your health, strength, passion, and quality of life. It's made a life-changing difference for me!

BodyWizard, it's been an honor and my pleasure to read about your trasformation. You really opened yourself up to everyone, which is not an easy thing to do. This was easily the best log I've ever followed.

May the rest of us be as happy as you when we reach your age. Stay young!

And props to IBE.

hey BodyWizard
Thanks so much for sharing the journey.
Inspirational.
It's what real world bodybuilding is.
Question:
I'm beginning a long term Oratropin and either Pght and/or Hexatropin program..almost totally to deal with mobility and joint issues for this 52yr old body!
In Retrospect:
What and how would you recommend a micro (day to day) and macro dosing schedule to optimize the products effectiveness and minimize downregulation.
Money is not a concern.
Thanks so much for the inspiration to do this.

poison - thank you, bro...it has been a gift to me to share this process; I appreciate your attention!

rocckky - although I did a month's worth of the Oratropin, my focus and figuring has been on the GHRPs - that is, growth-hormone -releasers, so down-regulation has not been a notable factor for me: GH production is still enhanced, which was and is the primary action.

were I to begin again anew, I would dose regularly for 6 months (5 days on, 2 days off), take a week off between boxes, and a month off between the first 6 and the last 6 months. I would dose around 7-8pm in order to maximise the GH output from the evening pulse (~10pm), and let the morning pulse take care of itself.

Beyond that, I'd take it in an empty, freshly-brushed mouth and smear it all over the inside of my mouth, gums, etc., then give it a full hour to penetrate.

That's all I can think of now. I'll probably add more later....

Thanks for sharing the journey!

Congratulations! Your results are remarkable. I've been in and out of this thread since you started it. Did you run any labs? It would be interesting to know your IGF levels. I apologize if this has already been answered.

No, I have no starting lab-work: no money at the time, among other things (would have cost me 2-3x the cost of my 'tropins). It would truly be good to see the differences pre- and post-. I base my contention that GH levels are elevated on the continuing improvement in my overall health, vigor, and condition. 'Brotelligence', I know, not good research...but I'm having NO trouble keeping up w/ my 36-year-old girlfriend - in OR out of the sack

I always believe that the way you feel is the best gage. Congrats on the 36-year-old girl friend. You're living the dream!

:bow28:

Thanks!

No foolin', with none of the various "enhancers", we have had world-class sex 3 times in the last 36 hours - each bout of actual intercourse lasted more than an hour (fore- and afterplay not included). I may not be outperforming my heyday, but this is practically teenager territory, compared to my life over the last 12 years.

It is much more than a dream come true, it's a new life, and a new body: I have never been so excited about what the future holds, I have never been so happy on a day-to-day, minute-to-minute basis, I have never felt so glad to be alive.

weight holding steady at 190, waist = 34" (!!!)
BF = 15.0% (weight/girth calculation (USN)), 10.5% (Jackson/Pollock 3-site)
:woohoo:

continuing to observe positive changes in core strength, hair color/growth, overall energy & capacity.

I have acquired a sharp pain in my back that has become extremely bothersome; it seems most related to my back workouts - feels kinda like I might have twinged, ripped or strained a latissimus attachment. Very painful, and difficult to lay off enough to avoid triggering the pain. Chiropractor found nothing, will be seeing my star student this weekend, and will see if there's anything beyond the sticks-n-wires level. Don't want to get the medicos involved, but I am running out of choice on that one.

Well its official...your in better shape than me thats for sure..

Way to go BW.
thanks, dude - my BF is at a 19-year low (started packing on extra fat when my daughter was still in the oven); I had a video-chat w/ my brother a couple weeks ago, and he commented I looked like I'd lost weight, so I stood up, stripped off my shirt & he was amazed. "you haven't just lost weight - you've put on a lot of good-quality muscle!"

That was a big deal for me, as my brother has been the tough guy, the athlete since I was 15 (I was the sexfiend, the bookworm). He teased me for the 1st 40 years 'cause he was always stronger, healthier, more physical, more muscular - hell, at 50, he's father of 3 boys, plays paintball in the Rockies on weekends, and is an active firefighter. He's been working out regularly and heavily for years, and while he's nothing like hyooge, he looks like a strong, active and healthy man in his late 30s. For him to notice the changes (and via video chat!) means a hell of a lot to me.

I have figured out how to get some pictures taken & up (note to self: only depend on others when you have to), but it will have to wait a bit longer: that pain in my back has been narrowed to either a twisted rib or a cracked one; either way, I'm behaving myself (duh, it hurts!) - tomorrow should tell the tale - if it still hurts tomorrow (I'm told) then it's almost certainly cracked. The good news is that I've been off the ibuprofen since Monday, but Saturday, the pain was really severe - so it IS getting better.

other notes: hair, nails, beard all continue to show enhanced growth; nails still weak/brittle/flimsy, so I still suspect I'm not getting the right protein; hair continues to darken - back of head is as much dark as light, and dark patches expanding in beard; overall tint has shifted from white to platinum, with plenty of actual dark hairs. Perhaps I'm on the wrong foot here, but this all seems to support the idea that GH release continues to be elevated following the GHRPs.

I had a conversation w/ my chiro, turns out he took some "GH enhancer" for some time, and swears he saw benefit from it in himself and in others; he described "people on growth hormone" as developing an unhealthy "boneyness" in their facial features that he felt was typical. That emaciated character to the face makes me think he was taking something arginine-based. I have experienced no such distortions.

is it time for an update yet???

Bodyweight staying close to 190 (+/- 3)
waist is now 35.25", up due to health - BF% up a point or 2.

Spent 4 weeks flat on my back due to a back injury during the 2nd half of Feb & 1st half of March, then spent 6 weeks helping an elderly neighbor pack & move (I thought I was volunteering for a couple of long days!); this was followed by a period of constant fatigue, hot & cold flashes, and physical clumsiness (I'm somewhat more graceful, ordinarily).

Doc diagnosed exhaustion due to overwork, so I'm coping w/ dietary changes, afternoon naps & no working out for the next 6 weeks...not sleeping well anymore, with these naps.

"Bald spot" continues to disappear behind the thickening hair, color continues to return to it & beard.

Have been very tired lately, probably due to the heat: it's been over 100 this whole week, and has been well over 90 every day for a couple months. Today, it's 107 in the shade on my back porch.

Even so, the humidity has been brutal, for all the talk about drought. There's stuff going on at home, as well. Libido non-existent.

I have passed my NASM certification, at long last. Time to clear the decks, get the worfout room squared away, and take a couple of key folks to lunch....

There's sure to be more developments soon.

Glad you finally finished your NASM cert... I am going to jump on that this winter (work slows down). I havent been on the board in awhile... but have been popping in now in then to check out my subscribed threads...started building a little gym in my basement as well. Keep us updated.

Thanks, guys - great to hear from ya!

I'm currently sitting thru another round of oral surgery, which will not be complete until March '08, but I'll be back in action in another week or so.

This log is way overdue for an update - especially as it's been a year now since my run ended. TIme to take a look back...but not today (at least, not right now - I've started on my fall yardwork checklist).

Back soon, though

Hi, what's up with the oral surgery? Hopefully nothing too bad!

tooth trouble - had it all my life: combination of bad dentistry & weak teeth. This time, I had the remains of a dead tooth removed & a bone braft done to strengthen/repair the mandible. Net time, they'll install a titanium post into which the bone will grow.

End result? Teeth I can bite & chew with as if they were real teeth. Going rate is about 4k USD per tooth.

Man, that sounds like some intense work! Local, or out cold? Hope everything goes well (as well as can be expected!).
