DAA Pointless/lowers test

I've just came across a study that states 3g supplementation of DAA has no effect on baseline t and dosing 6g actually lowers test. Has anyone else seen this study?

After seeing that discussion, I don't get why supplement companies are still putting it In test boosters and selling as if it boost test levels. Maybe for some one for pct, I'm not sure if there is a study done with people using DAA post cycle.

I don't get why people that take Clomid or Nolva would want it either, LOL! DAA has gone into my supplement graveyard - getting crowded :)

unfortunately until there are a couple studies out, some people will swear by it

I remember when some of us started posting about the negative effects after running labs and getting bashed over it. Glad it is getting more attention.

As with a lot of supplements, getting informed and reading the studies is useful, but at the end of the day supps are subjective just like everything else. You gotta try them out for yourself and give them time before coming up with a conclusion of a) whether they actually do somthing (positive or negative or both) and b) whether they are worth taking with respect to their cost. Just try to start off with zero expectations and dont get too influenced by what you read on them

Personally, daa works for me when coupled with an AI. The strength increase is immediately felt, together with other things.

I remember when DAA was the best natural test booster there is. Now it's apparently a solid natural test depressor. The PWO I'm looking at is solid dosed but has 3g DAA... Stay away?

So DAA makes you stronger? Why do you think that is? More "T"? The best it's ever been shown to do, is a 40% increase for a bit, until the negative feedback loop kicks in. And that was just one study with hypogonadal men.

After having read more than a few placebo studies with experienced, trained athletes that used AAS, I'm as leery of "Anecdote" as anything else. Quite a Catch-22 we are in as lifters, LOL :)

I always roll my eyes whenever i come across a poster claiming to notice significant strength increases as a result of a test booster. God, i scream in my head, by what mechanism is this possible?

Well, maybe i notice more things than you do? You can roll your eyes all you want, its just that i notice strenght increases. They might be minimal, but i get them every time i use daa, and ive used it on and off for years now. It does effect my mood in a negative way though. I dont know about the mechanisms, im just reporting what i notice

What are the negative feedback from DAA you are talking about? Estrogen and prolactin increase?

It is entirely possible. A new supplement always brings to vigor and excitement to a routine. People tend to workout harder, train smarter, eat better, etc. this alone is enough to bring strength gains even if just placebo. On that note towards the end of 6 weeks on DAA I would always be able to get 1-3 extra reps.

If I am correct this study was slightly flawed and didn't use the correct form of DAA. It has to be chelates or sodium based I believe

Not sure about everyone but daa ( AI sports) daa made me more hungry the longer I took it, never noticed any negative with it! Every meal it was as if I couldn't get enough food

Ok, is there any time frame, or after the initial boost after 12 days?

Just from memory, the study said at 3gs Daily there was no change at all in test and at 6 grams it was lowered over 14 days

Hm I guess it's like the poster above said, you can pick which study to go with. With having taken DAA and not noticed much of anything I have to go with the other study.

I think its bad to use during PCT IMO.... on cycle a lil bit i guess... but really.... id not waste my $ on it.

I appreciated daa for the cns boost iI got. Almost like a nootropic at times. Never had ill effect from it but likely won't buy again - simply no need.

Just do the math and decide. In a perfect world, you get a 2 week (?) boost of 40% before negative feedback.

40% of 100 Test (heavy suppressive cycle) is 140 Test. Oh boy, here come the gainzzzz.

40% of average Joe 500 Test is 700 Test - still physiological range. Still nothing IMO.

I'd rather spend the money on Clomid.

Before TRT I enjoyed taking DAA beside some stomach issues. I have seen studies saying it help fertility, but just like the test increase or decrease you can find a study saying just about anything. No need to spend money on it anymore.
