D-aspartic Acid >> Transdermal ??

Molecular weight will be exactly the same.... The D- and L- forms are simply annotations that distinguish two different isomers of aspartic acid, i.e. they have the same chemical composition, but the shape of the molecule is slightly different.
I'm not sure if a transdermal would be an effective application for DAA. I don't know the exact % of how much DAA is orally bioavailble, but keep in mind that with a transdermal you are only getting somewhere in the realm of 30-40% of the product. Transdermals are better reserved for less orally-active compunds (formestane, resveratrol, etc.). It seems that DAA is active enough orally, so a transdermal would be a waste.

D and L are just referring to optical activity, except in a lab most compounds do not exist in both forms, just one or the other. Seems from all the logs daa works just fine orally. It can be used as a transdermal but I haven't found any studies on an effective dosage when used td. I personally use tcf-1 and it works just fine for me.

What is your reasoning for wanting this to have a transdermal application?

The only thing I could see was if oral bioavailability was low it might be worth it cost wise. I'm not sure i've seen studies that show blood levels of DAA x hours after ingestion of DAA though to be able to tell. Still, since its a common amino acid, i tend to doubt it has bad bioavailability.

Sorry about late response but have been on holiday. Just received 80 grams DAA in the post today.
Chequamegon: Thanks for the info - I just liked the sound of a little Form/DAA in a bottle of penetrate as it would be easier to combine and apply.
HATEFULone: I wonder what the % adsorption of DAA is in a transdermal ?? There must be some difference in the two methods as it would not have been through the digestive system ??
Perhaps I'll give it a try and let you know how it works out and the dosages used ;0)...
HereToStudy: I wrote the question to promote a little discussion. I went with the bulk because of the low dosages in the TCF-1, although I'm now aware that your getting 24 doses and the price has come down...Good Show !!!
EasyEJL: I believe that DAA is stored in the testes perhaps a little DAA in penetrate rubbed directly in the area may add a little to the efficacy of the DAA.
Been doing a little reading around and have seen that DAA has oestrogen promoting side-effect and also raises anxiety in others perhaps a different method of delivery allowing a lower dose to be effective may make a little difference.
Little busy this week but I may add a little DAA to some penetrate next week and see how it goes...

What's oral BA of DAA? I would be inclined to think that with a transdermal you could hope for maybe 30% BA. Seeing as how you still need multi gram dosages it's not feasible. Also DAA's lipophilic/hydrophilic balance does not appear to be ideal for a transdermal. I',m basing this off aspartic acid so I'm not sure how the optical orientation would effect figures.

I think its would be such a hassel why not just mix it with some water or throw it in your protein drinks. even better pp TCF-1 tasts like candy anyway so just drink up.
id mice mine in my ASGT pre-WO for a good kick, then drink it with water in the other doses of the day.

Rahhh, do you mix bulk daa or your tcf-1 with asgt? And is there any difference in just plane asgt vs asgt pluss daa?
