Again - no knock on the product, just some information form an educated, pretty well-educated consumer. It's just some constructive criticism. If the product is as it states, contains standardized amounts of each of said components I coul drecommend it easily.

Actually, that study includes a brief REVIEW of ALL the studies published in peer reviewed journals - it is not a lone study - it is fresh off the press. THe Cuban trial is also addressed and that the same group is the only group that has published anything that resembled a benefit. I have the study on hand and can forward it to you (in pdf). Policosanol offers no benefit overall, other that making your wallet a little on the lighter side. :-)

Adding one less ingredient could drop the cost, maybe not much but it will save the trouble of mixing one more ingredient in there!

Cheers,

DD

You state that the Cuban's were the ONLY ones who found policosonol to be effective, however, as I stated in the last post there was an English university (you can find this study by searching pubmed or blackwell synergy), that also found it to be effective. Again it is an ingredient people want so the ingredient is going to stay. It isn't hurting you so if you feel that strongly about policosonol being a bad ingredient, enough so to say the product isn't worth it, well then I don't know what to tell you.

It is, however, the BETA 2 version of Cycle Support, could the formulation change? Of course it can and we have every intention of continually updating our products as we find new literature to support such an ingredient that would be beneficial to our customers without causing adverse reactions or negating the effects of the other ingredients.

Also, I noticed you began talking about vasodilators. I am not sure if your review is to knock these products or to say they don't work but I have been researching these night and day for the last couple of weeks and I can assure you there is some promise in this area if the right ingredients are used. I agree that some places are using FAR too much caffeine, however, caffeine is a great workout stimulant, even with some of the slightly higher cortisol levels post workout, it might still be more worth it to have those peaked levels and get a better, heavier, workout in.

Definitely forward me that reference - I could not find it in the searches.

By no means am I saying the product is not worth it - it is a much needed adjunct at a great price. I was simply offering some of the latest information that is available. 20+ studies demonstrate no benefit, whereas less than 5 (most form the same authors) show that there is a positive benefit would pormpt me to reconsider including it in the next batch.

It isn't stopping me from making this purchase at all (site says out of stock, i want PB) expecially since ALL of the studies say there were no negative effects reported in any of the subjects whatsoever.

The NO products if they did in fact contain ingredients with vasodilatory products, one would expect a decrease in blood pressure, which is totally countered by some of the vasoconstricting effects of some of the caffeeine based products. I think I need ot make some more phone calls to understadn the spin of each of the manufacturers. The effects of caffeine can be had for much cheaper - i am in complete agreement with the positive imapct it can have on workouts and energy level.

I agree that caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and it would negate some of the effects of the vasodilation. However, after looking further into it, it seems that if one could get the positive benefits of caffeine without the negatives of vasoconstriction, I would say you could have a pretty good workout. I am not concerned as much with the "muscle building" properties of products that contain nitric oxide precursors, as I think that is just dumb, however, adding these to a pre workout formula could do some good, especially if you included enough vasodilators to offset the caffeine.

I do agree that some of the products out there are absolutely rediculous, and the use of regular l-arginine is exactly the best route to take. Anabolic Innovations is working on an ingredient that we want to add to our next product that no one else has and could have a very profound effect on vasodilation. I am not going to give the structure yet but we are having difficulties locating it. Maybe in the future.

Back in stock RIGHT NOW!

Hey just wondering if you guys are planning on producing this product forever? Like till sept at least? I was just wanting to know, so I know if I should stock up on it now or just wait for my cycle to buy it. Thanks.

-D-

I don't see why we would stop making it but then again just a few weeks ago I didn't know we WOULD be producing so don't know for sure.

Yes we had to increase the price. It was one of those things where we miscalculated the original cost. How? Well I had a spreadsheet that told us how much each ingredient cost per month and total, etc. But we forgot to add in flavoring, etc prices haha. If it wasn't raised we would be basically driving the business into the ground.

oh i completely understand... no complaining from here...just curious.

No no I know, I was just explaining the reason. It was kind of funny actually, both of us smacking our foreheads, like how did we not realize this lol.
