Crypto currency

I've been reading on Reddit about TRX being a scam and that Justin Sun sold about 6 billion coins to ETH and then cashed out.

Charts show strong sell and currently trading at 0.00000980. I bought at 0.00001101 so as soon as I have some profit i'll probably sell as well.

I may have to set it up on my phone and laptop and just mine all day in class using the universities power. Maybe even go to the lab and download it to all the computers lol

I think it depends on your set up. Pretty sure it would not be wise to mine bitcoin now. It would be better to start with a less known coin. At least that is my understanding of it. It would take awhile to even recoup your money invested. Plus, power usage etc.

Now have to wait and see if my answers satisfy them to select me for the beta.

Had to fill in my name, age, country, mobile phone number, if it's a prepaid or contract, how many GB, phone brand, Android or Apple, how long been involved in crypto, what to expect from mob mining, how often will I mine...

Yep. It’s a long term hold like I said. The rumor isn’t true.

It never should have jumped like that to begin with. It’s a .12-15 coin right now so is actually trading at a premium.

So awesome!

I’ve got a question for you more knowledgeable guys... do any of you funnel your money through Coinbase? Was thinking of that 20k (Or 200 transactions)and IRS reporting- has me a bit worried. I have always used bank- to Coinbase- to exodus etc. Is there a better way?

Is it 20k and 300 transactions and they get your info, or one or the other? I’d try using Gemini to split between the two so you have less movement on Coinbase.

Binance re-enabled registrations, if anyone is interested here is my referral link

Again, it is ONLY for taxable gains, not simply placing money in for purchase. It's when you sell and pull your money out. Also, per their website:

For U.S. users only, Coinbase provides Forms 1099-K to certain business users and GDAX users that have received at least $20,000 cash for sales of cryptocurrency related to at least 200 transactions in a calendar year.

It is not just the amount of gain, it is a combination of the number of transactions. Coinbase has over 15+ million users now and only ~15k qualify as those that Coinbase has to report on. I am not saying do not pay your taxes, you need to, but just want to put this into context.

It was never a good coin, dunno why ppl hyped it up.. you try mining on a mobile £700plus for samsung or iphone u can build a real rig

It’s different than Electroneum I think, which was the mobile mining we were mentioning.

Yeah it's different,

"

Critical Electrum vulnerability

07-01-2018, 03:34:59

*#1

A vulnerability was*found*in the Electrum wallet software which potentially allows random websites to steal your wallet via JavaScript. The bug presumably also affects altcoin derivatives of Electrum such as Electron Cash. If you don't use Electrum or a derivative, then you are not affected and you can ignore this."

Man, TRON really took a dump from it’s initial push (same for xrp really)

ETH is making me money though

Almost all alt coins are down- time to buy! I just loaded up more.

ETH is keeping my portfolio alive right now, along with the few BCH I have that is going up finally. I can easily see ETH hitting $3k this year.

Rule number one of crypto- buy on the dips. Remember that in most cases each dip creates a new support line. So, taking TRON for example, it shot up unnaturally based on hype and should not yet be a .25 token. Pump and dumpers and FUD dropped it back to where it should be. But .10 held strong despite this, so chances are high that it is the new low point- hence time to buy now. As partnerships and actual work on the product start to come, it will inch higher and then inevitably drop again, but very likely to a new and higher low point. Could be .15. Which can be a big difference in the amount you get for the money.

You can use this example for any crypto currency.

Same with XRP, I have a colleague who's nuts about it and the past few days the price turned around he's all over me why this and why that. Coinbase rumours inflated the price and once the announcement was made of no new coins being introduced it started correcting. The XRP jump was crazy.

Yeah, but half their plan is bull****. They are leasing bitcoin mining rigs for $3500 and they take half. So you lease a rig for the same price you can buy one, use all your utilities and give them half your coin. Just on this alone, I would never touch their ICO.

Yeah if it could shoot up and stay that would be nice since I bought 50 more earlier when the price was right lol

It was a quick jump, now slowly falling again. I thought that kind of news would shoot it up closer to $3. I've seen less significant "news" shoot the values of other alt's far higher percentage wise in the past.

That being said, maybe the crypto community is just spoiled. A 6% jump on something in the NYSE would be considered significant. On the crypto exchanges it seems like it's just kind of meh.

Ya think? LOL. I swear I cannot go to any Reddit because it is filled with 16 year olds bitching because their $100 hasn't gone up 10x in a day so they start talking about scams and selling. It is out of hand.

Yeah I stopped reading on Reddit because of the such obvious shilling and uninformed children.. lol

I go to their Discord channel every once in a while when I’ve got nothing else to do, though.

The trollbox at HitBTC is full of them. I think they honestly believe that what they're saying is going to have a direct effect on the pump/dump that they're trying to achieve....as they trade their $50 worth of coins. I guess coins are going to be the new way of guys without a pot to piss in going on social media and acting like they own a million bucks of crypto. They used to just go stand next to someone else's expensive cars or jets and take selfies, but now it's faking screenshots of how much crypto they own. :)

Curious what happens to everyone that had contracts with USI Tech now that they have terminated all business with users in the USA and Canada? Anyone on here that was signed up know?

Anyone? I know there were a couple people on here including DJ that were investing. What happened here after the cease and desist?

I don't have very much at all there, but they do still appear to be paying out the daily % currently. From what I understand, you cannot get any new packages but they are still paying out on all current packages until they are done. You also cannot recruit other investors (the MLM part of it) any longer, which doesn't really bother me because I never did that anyway. I have not done it personally, but another person I know did successfully move out their available BTC to another exchange a few days ago without any issues.

Ok, I assumed they wouldn't be able to lock anything down and as long as you had your keys you could move it. Thanks, I was just curious how it worked.

I saw something saying that SALT has to double this year, otherwise they stand to lose a lot of money with how they do their loans. It could be very incorrect as I know nothing about SALT, but lucky for those of you that hold some! Lol

You guys getting into anything new ? Saw something bout ether might drop some this weekend , I'm buying more if t does

SALTs model is interesting. You can buy it on an exchange for whatever it is at the time, say $15. You can apply for a loan for ex. 10k. Their token is worth $27.50 right now and once approved, pay off the loan with SALT at the $27.50 rate. So in effect, you pay about $6650 to pay off $10k. I kept it simple, but obviously there is both P+I. It’s crazy and currently why there is such a backlog of loan requests by whales. Their hedge against arbitrage is that other coins will increase in value. As these loans open up, there will be opportunities for regular consumers and the price will increase. Prediction is $85-100 per this year. I picked up 500 of them at $8 and put them away on the Trezor so I’m not tempted to exchange for a faster moving coin. This one is slow and steady, but not exciting. However, a real working product and possibly a huge future.

I feel ETH is the safest bet out there.

Another one that will pop is ENJ- it’s a gaming coin.

Agree. My altfolio only consists of

ETH
LTC
SALT
XRP

GNT will help computer gaming.
