Creatine/ glutamine dosing

Ok. After reading a couple interesting articles on glutamine and creatine planning running them at a comparatively higher dosing schedule for the next 2 months. Ive read glutamine being used at a minimum of 20 grams a day and creatine being used at a minimum of 20 grams also is more optimal than the recommended 2-3 grams a day and of creatine and 5 grams of glutamine. Apparently your body burns through more than the maintainance level supplemented and what's stored. Im actually considering doing 30 grams of each and seeing what happens.....(no,i don't think muy kidneys will fail and i don't think ill die lol) but a lot of really persuasive literature this. Anyone else run either of these supps at these doses?
 
Eh. I kinda thought the same. But i NEVER responded creatine like i would like to. I have a few friends who load than take 5g a day and gain like its aas. Ive never gotten much at all out of it. After reading about it i decided i want to give it a go and see if taking more will keep my levels higher and maybe ill see more benefit. If it doesn't....than i blew $35. O well. We shall see
 
Wasting extra money is a strong possibility. But honestly.....has anyone NOT blown money on supps? Not looking for steroid like gains. But if i throw on 15-20lbs on a few lifts and recover better and get better pumps...than success is experienced in my opinion. Its worth a shot. Kinda why i think cell tech worked for guys. It made guys use lots of creatine.
 
Started creatine\glutamine stack. Doing 4 servings each 2x daily for a 24 gram each total. One earlier in day after meal and later in day. On training day mixed in with post workout meal.
 
Only significant difference.... I get really good pumps and muscles DO look much more full. I guess that's what Im supposed to see. Although prior times i never got anything from creatine or glutamine. Thus far... I would say the higher dose is better. 24 grams a day necessary?dunno. Just plucked it to try it. Maybe next cycle ill try 16. Or 12. But i doubt it. Ill provably stay at 24. No noticeable bloating....so i kind of dont believe that myth.
 
Also noticed too increased digestic trac proficiency. Its incredible. Im thinking the glutamine had helped my digestion and regularity. Less time in bathroom and less irregularity. Also much rounder look to muscles on most days and WAYYY better pumps. I think its worth it so far

I can attest to the improved hydration . I've started glutamine again a few weeks ago and have noticed much more muscle fullness.
 
If you want to go through creatine 8x faster than you need to just for your muscles to look bigger then go ahead. I personally take it as an ergogen so in terms of that it just doesn't make sense to go through it that fast.

Same. I'll probably get flamed for it, but I would consider glutamine a staple. Mainly gut health, although I do take it all around a workout, just on the off chance that it might act as a limiting factor in cellular swelling. I've also experimented with taking it in the morning due to the alkaline affect on the body( does not work as well as limes or green powder imo). I have also seen decent success with substituting glutamine for intra/ post workout carbs (as well as any other carbs during the day) when aiming to get leaner. Just my 2c. Probably placebo anyway:p
 
As cheap as both are i don't see anything wrong with trial and error. 24 grams a day? too much possibly ...glutamine i think u could go 20 grams a day comfortabley. Creatine...im just trying it out. As far as taking the these doses just for my muscles "to look bigger?".....isnt that what 90% of muscle building supps are in production for? That's like me saying "well go ahead and waste this money on those fat burners if you want your abs to look leaner".... Ironic comment....i dunno. Im getting kind of what i want from it surprisingly. I figured it'd fizzle out. But im noticing my low rep strength (mostly all i train) and higher rep (calves and some back movements) NOTICEABLY increasing weekly in small increments. Im satisfied. For Sure crazy pumps and strength jumps. So far.....worth the investment.

I think anything amino/bcaa related can be invaluble while on calorie restricted diets. Look at pros who pin themselves like an afgan...they STILL use tons of liver tabs and amino supps while dietting if not year round....cause the're effective. Ive done it dieting and it helps. I think most people waste tons of $ on supps hoping for miracles. Im not delusional. I am liking the effects of the glutamine on pumps and gastro improvement also. And the added volume from creatine is pretty awsome. Pumps are insame....and from what i believe improve nutrient delivery to the muscle its a Good thing for any goal

It's really funny the way people talk down about glutamine. I remember back in 2003 on here people use to say HMB was practically worthless. Now it seems people on here think it's some kind of amazing supplement. I've maybe tried Glutmaine once about 15 years ago. Maybe I'll try it again.

20 grams gluta post workout. Good way to go.
 
I was one of the few who wasn't sold on HMB. What have you guys experienced with it? I understand there's several different varieties.
 
Even Mr.cooper69 used to call HMB a joke. I remember him saying it was only good for the elderly and how it was included in those Ensure protein shakes targeted towards the elderly.
