Country Gets HUGE with 5-3-1, Erase and DAA.

Two days out motha****a! Gametime!

Heck yeah. Did some mobility and felt pretty good. Great actually. Got a little tight again after lab though. Just weighed in at 199.2 with shorts/T. So I'll just have to not eat like crazy tomorrow lol.

Yeah around 8. Gona have my big meal after that but a small breakfast before. Just not gona over eat tomorrow. Just normal stuff but skip the ice cream etc hahaha. Gona pound some slinsane all day and get some good sleep tomorrow.

Trying to plan my warm ups. Was thinking plates to 405 then 455. Should I go 475 instead. Opening 535, then 575 600.

I'd go plates all the way to a single at 495. Maybe a single at 455 before that if you feel you need it. For bats this year, I had 15min between my last bench and my first deadlift. I hit 355 for a single and walked to the stage. I know Lilly and Brian Carroll don't spend more than 5min in the warm-up roo, for pulls either.

You think I should warm up clear to 495? I wasn't sure if that was too much. Sounds good to me.

Yeah. Last warm-up 82-85%, opener 90-92, second 95-99 and third 99-101 straight out of 10/20/life. Not that it's gospel, but it's a good guideline. Other things I've heard is last warmup at 90% of your opener. Just wake up the ol CNS so the first weight isn't a shock.

Hell yea. Sounds like a plan to me. Last meet I just got warm as I could and then we were rolling.

Bw 196.8. Mobility crap today but not much. Just getting the blood going and relaxing.

You've prepared for this. All that's left is execution.

Good luck, Country. You got this!

You've prepared for this. All that's left is execution.

Ripping that six hundoo tomorrooo!

Kill it bud!

GL man. Get it!

Thanks for all the encouragement guys. Had to drive home tonight and the weather wasn't the best. Got everything all unpacked and repacked for tomorrow. Weight was 197.8 at work before I left tonight. So a good dump and some water and I Should be perfect tomorrow. Not too worried. Think ill have a real light breakfast when I wake up.

I feel pretty confident in 600 considering its only a 15 pound PR over a year and I know I'm stronger now. I just need to execute and hope my back holds together. I'm honestly looking forward to pushing for a little heavier weight at the next meet. 600 is such a Mind Fk for me it feels like. I'm ready for it though. Time to crash guys.

Thanks again for all the help and encouragement. I wouldn't be where I am now without this group.

Do this for all your homies in cell block six-kid Rock

Huh huh hu huh lol

Big rip baby!

Good luck! Should be a good meet, best of luck to you and your crew!

Good luck.

535 went like butter. They brought in a nice deadlift bar.

Got 600 up but red lighted on a hitch/rest on legs. It'll be mine December at the next meet.

Next time, boss! We'll tighten up.

This was a push/pull for you, or DL only?

I don't remember if this was an only push/pull comp (no squatting at all) or if you just entered that way lol.

Thanks guys. No 585 is a PR. I should have had 600 it was pretty easy. Kinda hung up on my knee sleeves and then I didn't lock out. Just couldn't get my glutes to fire and drive my hips in. I have video of everything ill post later.

Sherman had. A bad day and only benched 445. Dave benched 355 and pulled 500. Missed his 545 second. Bill benched 300 and Sam benched 170. Everyone still won their classes. We won a team award as well. Everyone who benched only hit their opener. Definitely a rocky meet. My prep wasn't perfect and I can definitely make some changes for the upcoming week. We have 6 week. Some personal stuff has had us all a little off lately and head not completely in it.

It was a single lift championship meet but you could enter all 3 lifts.

I think I had the second heavest pull. The best was a 220 that his 625 on his 4th attempt for a fed record or something.

I definitely have more to work for and a goal still to meet. More motivation to train hard and smart for December.

My back did Bother me today but felt better after I was warm. I didn't get in a good groove today though and think I would have benefited from some form work if I hadn't been feeling so bad.

Hopefully I can figure out and take care of this little issue and move on.

Thanks again for all the support everyone. I had a great time today and although I didn't have a meet PR I did lockout 600 with a small hitch which is way more than I have moved ever or a long time. I had a lot more weight off the floor in me, so I just need to work on my lockout. I'm taking today as a fun experience and a learning opportunity, and a reason to better myself an push myself more. I am pissed I missed the lift but it is what it is.

Thanks man. It was one of those lifts that was a small enough hitch I would count it in the gym but obviously not think its okay for a meet. I'll get the vid up eventually I want to look through what I have first. 535 and 575 were awesome though. Redemption December 20th. Now I'm gona go crash. I'm beat. We hit a buffet after so all is well on that department.

Any chance this could be part of the problem? I understand you know after you've done some of the lifts that they wouldn't count, but isn't there a chance that letting those slip by in training is ingraining that as a movement pattern when you get on the platform?

I think that everyone of us strive to be perfect in form just doesn't always happen

I don't think so because for the last several months I have been sure to take that out of my training completely as much as possible. I've been fixing form and working on only training to just before form breaks down etc. so I've been actively not letting that happen and haven't really had any issue with it at all lately or during meet prep with my heavy stuff. I think I do know what happened on this lift specifically which put me in a bad position however and that is what forced the hitch. So I do have form issues I need to correct, but I don't think patterning a hitch is one of them because I've only hitched 1-2 times in training in the past 6 months and most recently have been absolutely trying to abolish that. Herder and Sean did suggest that might pop up as an issue about a year ago and I have been working at it since then. Of course a hitch is pretty much anyone's last ditch effort but I also feel like I could and should have been able to pull this without it. I can blame it on anything but at the end of the day I need to be real and fix what's wrong and that's not always one factor.

I so appreciate the suggestion though, that is a legitimate concern but I don't think I could have changed anything I've done in the past 6 months like I said. I'm going to keep working at it. Everyone is a work in progress and no one has perfect form. I know I'm no where near perfect.

Nice try at least, Country. At least it went up. You'll get it next time.

And I echo what Jim said.

Thanks man. I honestly thought I had it and so did a lot of other people. I shifted my weight onto my heels hard when I was dragging the thigh and the bar did a little stop and go action. I looked at the vid and I agree it's a hitch. It didnt feel like it when I was pulling it though lol.

Definitely a legit concern and I'm glad Jim brought it up. I've really been working to make sure I'm not allowing hitch and any other crutch form to take place in training and I'm going to keep at it.

I think that everyone of us strive to be perfect in form just doesn't always happen

Thanks d max. I strive to get as good as I can but no matter how perfect I think everyone reaches a point where they break down. Just got to keep bettering ourselves.

I've picked a few things out of this video already that I did not do the way I trained I or wanted to and will be correcting.
