Well that's what I thought then I swear one of the guys on here said the other day not too.... whatever. And yeah I knew that... guess I won't be benching USAPL unless they got high benches. I drive heels down, keep glutes tight, and drive back/up. That said I'm kind wondering what the setup will be like at this meet. Do you guys see a lot of variety between your meets when it comes to equiptments? Other than just rack to mono for squat, which would be the biggest I'd think.

My benches were differet each meet. If the bench is too low, just don't pull your feet so far back.
APF/WPC benches have all been consistent. I think there's specs in the rule book...
Thanks man. I've been working like crazy to get this technique better so I can unleash almighty hell and build some muscle/size. I need the base though. I'll have my buddy Bill who is coming yell at me to hold. On both lifts haha.
I was working on bouncing in and out of the hole like you said and using momentum. I think w/ knee wraps it would be even better. Biggest thing I forget it to keep my chest big when I'm coming up. I need to look to the sky more, that helps me when I remember.
I can high bar, it's actually more comfortable at times for me. I'll give it a crack next session. This stance is a lot more comfortable for me, but I still need to fine tune it.

Herd, I get exactly what you mean... I'll have to give that a crack.
I agree low bar is good for me, but I have such bad low back mobility since my SIJ/nerve injury, my back just like freaks out at the bottom of a squat and wants to topple. So keeping it as straight up and down as possible is gona be good I think. I'll play with both styles some more. I have plenty of leg strength, like I say I literally just suck at squatting form so bad I can't tap into it yet. They don't get sore or anything unless I kill leg press or another accessory.

Also 194.5 at the gym 196 at home. That scale seems to weight heavy. Ill see what the gym scale says Monday.

I think it's about to. I'm definitely stronger. now that I am getting comfortable I can increase my training volume... gain strength, BOOM. It's gona go. I'm gona attempt 405 sometime soon me thinks.
Yeah smoker, Good thing weigh ins are in the AM. gona down oatmeal, a protein shake, and get some water ready for after weigh ins. gona cut sodium back during the week days and back off on food. eat normal friday.
I plan to weigh in the night before and then have a MASSIVE breakfast the next morning.
Would be nice if I could do it. I'm just gona make sure I'm light enough to eat normal before the meet. Then eat again immediately after weighing in. What are you taking to eat? I feel like this is gona be fast paced. between weigh in, rules, then lifting. I hate having food in my stomach to lift, so that's no good for me.
Actually I can weigh in friday, but no way in hell I'm driving an hour back and forth just to weigh in. i can weigh in at 8, so I'll do that then eat immediately. lift at 11. I'll be fine at that point. Wake at 6 and have my first meal.
I'm looking at the list of people going to this meet (event on FB has some of them, probably not all I assume) and I tell myself/feel like I am looking at a list of my victims. I plan on beating some of these fellas totals with my deadlift alone. (or at least I tell myself that). Going for 900+ between the two. Two kids around my age I see are going, could be around my weight. I'm bigger and definitely thicker than both these kids. I realize now I have the PL gut of a 30 year old man hahaha. Now I know where all that weight is hiding...
Last time I got chipotle after benches and ate that, I'll probably do something similar this time.
After my flight is over I expect to have a decent amount of time before my next lift.
Dude, I would dump my guts out if I ate chipotle LOL.
I think there will be 15-20 lifters at this. So it should go pretty quickly.
