I wouldn't jump straight to 550 from a 480lbs deadlift. If you really think you'll get a PR above 550 make a smaller jump that is more middle ground between your first and third attempt.

What was your most recent triple on each lift?

I was just going off of wendler advice for a first meet haha. Well I tripled like 515 last week but that was a terrible workout haha. I can nail 515. I can triple 285. And nail that as well.

So.

515, 560, 585?

300, 315, 3????? (320 or 325) or is 285-315 an okay jump?

Those look like good picks. Make sure your openers are numbers you could wake up hungover and hit cold. Don't miss 'em.

I'd lower from 87% to 85% of max. That 2% may not seem like much but trust me, it is. Like herder said, something you can roll out of bed hungover and hit...
 
Okay I sorta felt that way. But isn't that a big jump then? They just said dont make that big of jump hahaha.

Anyways pretty crappy squat session. Form was shifty but felt perfect warming up.... I might need to work w lighter weight a little longer. Hit my reps but they weren't fun. 280x5 315x3 350x1

Did a little rep work but knee felt weird and I felt crappy so I called it.
 
Somedays your feeling it before hand and have a crappy session. Others you come in not feeling it and have a great one. It just happens

So over the past week I have been selected to log G8, Finaflex's PWO stack (max pump, crea-trona, stimul8) and log BPS endosurge turbo. Let the supplementation commence. Also gona be ordering the natadrol once it's released for when I am done logging.

Actually feel good right now... this deload week is gona do me well... gona be hard to hold back though I'm mentally in a kill everything mode... I am thinking just do a lighter rep week... like 3 sets of 7@225, 3 sets of 245 on squat, 3 sets of 315 on deads. Good solid assistance and stretching but nothing that is gona aggravate the little injuries I have. I need my hip, SIJ and a few other spots to heal up.
 
G8 is helping me sleep really well. Good stuff!
 
Nope more aware than usual. Ill know more once I make it through the school week.
 
I'm feeling good other than the normal tension in my traps and the pinch in my right low back. Neither of which really affect my lifts but I bet if I let them recover I would benefit. I was thinking maybe a mini deload instead of a full week. Might just depend how I feel tomorrow if I wake up. Hip is feeling much better, so it depends if I get this pinch out of my LB. If I don't deload I can do a legit deload before the meet which would be ideal.
 
Do it now and then another Deload when finals hit would be something to think about bro. Or you may hit the weights heavy that week to relieve stress and get your mind off things

I need to look into this stuff. I have serious sleep problems during the week. I usually close at work which means I don't get off until 11. Which means I don't fall asleep until 2 and the following day I have to get up at 7. I need sleep!!

1st year bio major. I was a history major last year but switched schools and major this year. I like it but not sure if it's for me. Still searching kinda. Next semester I'm just taking 2 maths and 2 electives.

Nice where are you at? I'm in undergrad for physical therapy w/ an EX phys minor. Mine get a neuro minor too. I'd like to go back for a neuro major someday or do a specialty in neuro. What do you wana do w/ bio?
 
Man I have no idea what to do. What the plan for me now is to do another year of bio classes. At the summer of next year, ill decide where to go from there. I feel like I want to do something in helping ppl, which is why I'm flirting with the idea of being an rn. I don't care it's predominately female.
 
RN would be good, as a guy you will be able to get a job pretty easily in that field. School isn't too bad for it either. Just make sure you find something you will enjoy.

So still trying to decide if I should deload or not...

192 today. Holy crap. Overall I felt weak/burnt out. Did my normal week 1 workout but only as prescribed with first set last and blasted my accessory. Ill do the same all week with no extra or heavy work to "Deload" instead of doing 65%

So work was

D1w1c11. Bench. Bw-192

Bench- warm up. 225x1,3,5, 240x5, 270x5, 225x7

Pull-ups/chin ups. 5 sets 47 reps

Db skulls and cable kickbacks. Blew up my tris.

Good sleep last night. Didnt go to bed til almost 2 but was restful and I didn't wake up much. Feel good today. About to take a big exam then work. Then deads.

I think I'm gona Deload my deads today. Low back is tight and I need the rest. Also doing a Deload bench session on Thursday and modified reps for squats instead of Deload or normal. Probably like 275 5x5.
 
Well I was stubborn today and did my deadlift workout. I was weak as heck though, but form was really good because I focused on getting really good reps and setup. Anyways, 365x5, 410x5, 465x4 (soft lockout on the last rep, IDK why, never had that happened before) so I stopped, then hit a single to reach my "5".

Did back xtn, core, bis. stretched good. I have had my rhomboid acting up again lately and that pinch in my low back where I had the fracture.... so I am gona just do mobility, pushups, easy pull ups etc thurs, and friday lighter squats for sets, and stretch a lottttt. Come back hard monday. Prob should have deloaded the past two days, but I felt like lifting....
