I bench flat footed and prefer my Oly Shoes when I bench over my flat shoes.
 
I pull squat press and OHP all in the same shoes. They are basically like an oly shoe.
 
I'm still going barefoot, have been known to lift in house slippers sometimes on cold winter mornings..... one of these days I'll have to wear shoes if I wanna compete.
 
I like the direction this is going.
 
I was going to say that first girl had a strong posterior chain, then all of a sudden girl #2 comes along! I think girl #2 could benefit from a more upright torso and some quad squatting for physique balance. If it weren't for her mammaries, she'd be falling over backwards!
 
Bench time. Ready to get this week over with. I want to be training hard again. Maxing is fun and all but my body is a wreck still today from monday.
 
That's the plan. I've been really lazy/lethargic lately and don't like it. I feel good today though even though I haven't done much. I think most of it is stress related. Time to kill some though either way.
 
Max bench day


Worked up to 305 for an easy 1. 315 for a half rep and stalled. Tried again and barely budged. Form was off on both 315 attempts, the second attempt wasn't even worth it, I was toast. My best bench in the past was 315 a year and a half ago 200lbs. After that I had to quit lifting from the SIJ/fracture vert. Since then the best I have put was was 285x1. So definitely progress. Also I nailed those reps after which felt awesome. The arch definitely helps. I think 315 would have been easy if I had done it instead of 305. The form was just there on that rep. I need to work with this considering I just started using it this week. Both reps of 315 I didn't bring the bar down low enough and when I pushed I let my elbows come up and out and the bar come towards my face.

Bar x5,5 135x5,5 225x3, 265x1, 285x1, 305x1, 315xF,
F
225x12,7,8 after that.

DB bench 80x7 left shoulder felt funny.

Pull ups - 10,10,10

tbar row - 75x14, 125x10,10

db skulls - 30x10,12,7

cable tris push/pull down 10x7,7 (OH/UH superset)
pushups to failure.

Weight was 193.5... holy crap. I need to stop laying around the house lol. Video of the bench to come.

Hey man, 305 is still a big bench. And yea, I agree, on maxing a previous attempt can thwart a proceeding attempt.

I'm happy with how easy it went up. My spotter, the old PL, thought I could hit 325. Video is up.
 
I'm just working off basic original 5-3-1 philosphy, but I've read all the books now I think, I'm going to incorporate the Advanced template that sean I was talking/posting about and then use rule of 10 or do joker sets depending how I feel that deal, but one or the other starting this next cycle (next week). Pretty much sticking to my guns as this is one of the best templates I've run and had a ton of progress/reality checks on.
 
Just curious as I started reading and there is tons of variety and all. Pretty interesting. I still have to finish it.

Haha thanks bro. No it pretty well flew up... I timed around 1.7 secs. Not fast but not terribly slow.

Compare to old 315 (1.5 years ago, this was the second time I did it, to video) my butt comes up some, It's slow and the spotter touched it, lol.

Yes there is a ton of customization which is why it is such a good and versatile program.
 
No sticking points on that lift. Keep putting in the time.
 
Strong 305. You could easily beat 315. Keep training the way you have been and you'll get it whenever you feel like it!
 
Well yesterday must have been a great freaking workout. First time in months my pecs are sore. tris are getting there. Whole back is blown up today. This is good. I might go for a light run today. Can't wait to squat tomorrow. Then back to hard training next week. Should have dpol and slinshot in mid-week next week. I have like 2 days of natadrol left, I didn't bother with the "PCT" this time because I've never seen suppression from it and again, none this time. The dpol should take care of test anyways.
 
In the 2nd week of my current D-pol run and it has really made it's presence known. I feel great and have a nice full muscular feeling all day. I wish I had some Recycle with it but that damn college kid is eating up my supplement budget. Lol

I've never tried my dpol (I've been sitting on it for almost a year).

But recycle really intrigues me. You really like it? It doesn't get a lot of attention on this forum.
 
I heard about recycle when I was talking to one of the Purus guys about dpol/slinshot. I had never heard of it. I am looking at mass FX next maybe?

AZ, just make him get more jobs or something, or sell his body on the underground... supps are too important. But I feel ya. I have 4 people who either owe me money or are supposed to come pick something up and pay me, totaling ~$300, but you know how it is waiting on friends and money... lol. meanwhile I have $2.33 in my checking. But life is good. I have a tank of gas, food, supps, and a gym membership for a long time (employee/school). Needs are met. I still need a paycheck though. Women are expensive... bleh.
 
He works but we let him use that for himself.

I've been following those logs as well...so far it looks promising.

Yeah Hyde seems to like it, bummer he has that hammy issue though.
 
And R1 nursing a broken foot in his log too. They still seem to feel it is creating some nice changes with them.

Yeah, that picture is fat Wendler. The thing that sets Freakshow apart is that he's really tall (I swear all powerlifters list their height way shorter than they are. Brandon Lilly looked to me to be 6'3" claiming 6' and Freakshow looked taller still claiming 5'11") and also Marshall's shoulders are as wide as the rings. He's ****ing enormous and I have no idea how he makes 275.
 
He is definitely one of the tallest and all around lankiest PLs I have seen. He looks like he could have played basketball in his childhood lol. The beard threw me off on wendler, and the new neck tat.

My fav. strongman is definitely Poundstone, just cause I always watched him as a kid and he was the jacked American guy.

My favorite is and always will be fellow Pollock Mariusz. Jouko Ahola and his skyscraping traps was another great one. And don't forget ultimate showman, the Viking himself Svend Karlsen. I can't wait to get back into strongman training and hopefully not snap my shyt up this time.

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Kaz, John Pall, and another of my favorites, Janne Virtanen. The thing about WSM is that everybody there is unfathomably giant and strong. The smallest guy there last year was Graham Hicks at 5'10" and 265 and he didn't sniff the finals, but a cursory seach on youtube shows that he goes 727/507/865 for a gym PR total of 2100. A GUY WHO TOOK 5TH IN HIS QUALIFYING HEAT THAT TOTALS 2100 AT 265! Think about that for a second.

His hook grip game is on point. Just pulling without straps will get you where you need to be. I think I'm going to take my grip to the next level and start doing captains of crush, plate pinches, hub holds, farmers walks, and fat grips. I kinda just want a bonebreaking handshake and to wreck stuff in Strongman.
 
One of the good graces of these long arms is that they are stupid strong even though they aren't huge. I'm not worried about my grip but still I don't know how he does that, I think it would still roll so easily.
