I understand that typically a bridge would look like this
SD 10,10,10,00,00,00 --> pct
+
epi 00,00,30,30,30,30 --> pct
however, why is there that week of overlap?
i took epi as just an example, but generally speaking my understanding is that the PH/DSs dont have to build up in your system as their half life ranges from 6-12hrs typically but its their effects that take a while to become apparent eg increased glycogen storage, protein synthesis, suppression etc... SD achieving these effects much faster than epi or hdrol which is why it is 1st and you use the epi or hdrol to consolidate or recomp etc..
but why is there a need for overlap?
once you're 2-3 weeks in and the effects are established, wouldnt the next PH/DS be able to continue stimulating protein synth and the other processes as before but just at different rates/strengths. the SD and epi/hdrol dont act on different receptors so why cant the cycles look like this:
