Cortisol and insulin sensitivity

Hey guys, i would like to do some tests to know my cortisol level and if I have any kind of insulin resistance.
I've seen there are a few methods to find out, what's my best bet?
I always struggle getting very lean and also gaining muscle mass, I think this could help me figure something.
