Coop's Corner #9: Nitrates

I would dose 80-100mg per day. Dose ~30 minute pre-workout on workout days and either in the morning or spread out on off days if you plan to dose on off days. Everyday dosing will increase weight/fat loss. Dose on workout days only if you're only focused on strength/performance. Everyday dosing: 8 weeks on followed by 4 weeks off. Workout days only: 12 weeks on followed by 4 off.
what if u only take it preworkout 2 days a week. Would the 12 weeks on 4 weeks off still apply?

You may be able to run for an extended period of time then if only dosing twice a week.

Are you only dosing twice a week then?

What are you noticing so far?
I haven't been keeping track but I believe I've been taking it for two months. I'm a fan and definitely like taking it. There's a lot of other things that go into the mix like god given talent and a good program but while I've been taking it I've gone from 335 on incline for a 1RM to 405. Like I said a lot of other stuff is to attribute not just amento but I do like it

Now that I think about it I've probably been taking it all semester. Since coop first wrote his thread on it so however long that is

Awesome man!

It's definitely a staple or should be for everyone.

NAC recycles nitrates in the body, further prolonging their halflife.

hey coop, first of all, thank you.

second of all, i came up with a follow up question to the follow up question: does NAC directly interact with the nitrate, or does it increase some kind of 'endogenous' recycling by increasing glutathione production? because if it is the latter that might affect how it works in people who are constantly in a pro-oxidative environment, and as far as i know it can sometimes be counterproductive to increase GSH production in those kinds of situations because you will end up with a lot of the non-reduced form which can be toxic.

obviously, this is not very relevant to most people (at least i hope not), i just ask out of intellectual curiousity.

Good article.
Makes me more interested in nitrates. Might have to try some PWOs with them.

L-Arginine is pretty useless but what about AAKG? Or Ornithine?
