Cooking with oils and butter

Got a question, how do I calculate my intake when cooking with oil? Say for example last night I took some chicken thighs and fried them in some extra virgin olive oil. How would I calculate my intake? I didn't use all the oil so I can't just measure all of it out. Any suggestions?

If you REALLY want to know then the only way to really know is to estimate. Unless you actually want to scrap every ounce from the plate and bowl you don't eat and measure it.

My suggestion would be not to worry about stuff like this that is inconsequential. It really doesn't matter.

the reason I ask is I am really trying to achieve certain quotas with my diet right now and say yestarday for example knowing how to calculate the nutritional info would have helped alot. there is quite a few calories in EVO oil and grams of fat and it will make a difference if I need more fat in my diet or less and if I need to eat more calories or less.. I am on Anabolic Diet right now and on hdrol cycle and trying to dial in numbers better, I never used to even bother adding it to my totals but I think I should start.

try grilling instead of frying...then add the EVOO to other food items where you would consume the whole thing (shakes, etc.)
