Conseco on Stern

I don't get Stern on the radio where I live. They axed him from the piece of crap station a couple of years ago. :frustrate I'll probably get satellite radio when he goes changes next year.
 
Sorry I have not be able to get to post what I heard in the interview. I'm on my 25th consecutive day of 10 hour (some 12) days at work. Will try to post later...I'd say this weekend, but I have not had one of those in 3 weeks.

BTW...can't believe me and LO are the only ones to hear it.
 
I only heard parts of it. It was pretty much the same stuff he's talked about on the TV news circut with the usual Stern antics mixed in. He diddn't drop any bombs. I'm more intrested in what he has to say in front of congress today. I hear he tried to get imunity but was denied so it looks like he'll be taking the 5th today. Everyone else will just lie and deny. What a joke. :rolleyes:

I hear ya. I don't even care anymore. I'm tired of hearing about it. I'm ready to move on. So will Bonds pass Aaron this year or next year? :)

Next year or later if baseball is rid of roids. Not that it would happen, but imagine what would happen if all the big guys suddenly showed up for spring training 30lbs lighter? That would be intresting. Fans will take to the streets demanding that drugs be allowed back into the game.

I might start a new thread discussing this, but you have to remember that Bonds is only 53 away from breaking the record. Steroids or not, this is one of the greatest players of all time. BTW, he's still looking pretty good, even after his knee surgery.
 
well the barry bonds of 15 years ago wouldnt have hit that many homeruns without the juice... he didnt have the strength... he was, in effect, your typical early/mid-1980s ball-player...
dedicated to the base hit, fielding being 60% of the game, and always playing smallball... everyone being small and fast (for the most part)whereas now, its nothing like that...
80lbs more muscle within the span of about 4-5 years? damn i wish i could have done that...

BUT... i dont give a damn about roids being in the game; but i do give a damn about people saying Bonds is one of the best in the game and not because of them...

Sorry but Bonds won 3 MVP's and 8 golden gloves before any of this steroid talk even came about. He has always been a great player and he got better as he matured as a baseball player as you can see. I guess the fact that he is the only player to go 500/500 (HR/SB) doesn't mean anything. Neither do his numerous MVP's and Golden Gloves. Or all the records he owns. About the only thing he hasn't done is win a World Series. Must be the roids I guess. :lol:
